What Are You Passionate About?

What is the difference between those who are successful and those who are unsuccessful? Why are some personalities so irresistible? What drives people to achieve great things? The answer is: passion. Passion is what makes the world go around.

Passion is the fuel that drives romance. Passion is the motivation for accumulating large fortunes. Passion builds bridges over deep ravines, it creates a way where there is no way, it builds tall buildings, spreads religious ideas, unites warring tribes against an invader, and is the driving force behind most inventions. Passion creates millionaires, Presidents, Olympic medalists, and Super bowl champions. People with passion live longer, laugh louder, love stronger, hug more often, feel deeper, and achieve more.

All the best books were penned by someone with passion. The greatest songs of all time were first sung by someone with passion. Great poetry is only written by a person with passion. Nations are built, paintings are painted, building are constructed, and ideas are spread with passion.

Today’s society is often boring, bland, passionless. What is there to get passionate about? Some say there is nothing to be passionate about because the empty frontiers of the American west have been explored, the moon has been landed on, and the great secrets of the universe have been told. Is it true that the best movies have been made, the best books have been written, the best wisdom has been expressed? No! Untold secrets await those with passion, mighty empires remain to be built, space travel beckons the human race, paintings remain to be painted, great art will still be created by passionate artists. Those with passion can reach beyond the rational into the emotional realm. Only passion infused ideas live beyond the death of the first thinker of those ideas. A person without passion is like a car without gas, it might look nice, but it is not going anywhere.

What is your driving passion? It is vital for every human being to work towards a goal bigger then it is possible to reach. If you reach for the stars, you will not grab a handful of mud. Here are the “P’s of Passion” which will allow you to achieve great things.

  1. Pinpoint your passion.

Find a passion that you can live and die for. Until you find something bigger then yourself to live for, you are not fully living. If your passion is to be a doctor, decide to be the best doctor you can be. If you want to be in business, give your all to your employers and they will reward you with increased salary and promotions. If you are called to be a missionary, commit to winning as many souls as possible. If your desire is to be a housewife, love your husband and your children with everything in you.

Do not do anything half-heartedly. If you are a student, be the best student you can possibly be. Strive for an A in every class. Go the extra mile for your teachers. Study for tests a little longer and proof-read your papers one more time. If you decide to be a passionate student, your GPA will reward you. If you are a minister, be the best minister you can be. If you are a teacher, teach with all your heart.

  1. Prepare for your passion.

An uncommon passion require uncommon preparation. This is why your education is so important. Those who prepare properly go farther. Billy Graham was once asked what he would spend his time doing if he knew Jesus was coming back in three years. In response, the evangelist explained he would study for two years, and spend the last year preaching the Gospel. This is because he understood that to be truly effective, time must be spent in preparation.

  1. Pursue your passion.

The passionate person allows nothing to get in his or her way. The passionate person never stops while there is still breath in his body. No wall, no roadblock, no temporary failure, and no discouraging words can distract the person of passion from the object of their passion. Keep your eyes on your goal. Focus. Possess your passion until your passion possesses you.

  1. Persuade others with your passion.

The world will follow those with passion. Everyone wants to imitate a person who totally believes. Voters elect politicians who are sincere, teenagers wear tennis shoes of sports stars who win, businessmen listen to success speakers who are successful, people listen to the music of rock stars who put energy into their performances, and sinners get saved when a preacher preaches with power; all of these examples have one thing in common, people are following someone with passion.

The world can be conquered by one person with passion. If you will completely sell out to an idea and give your all to that idea, people will follow. Crowds cheer for those with passion, girls swoon for a passionate man, awards are given to those with passion, and multitudes follow someone with passion.

You can not win anyone to Christ if you do not live what you believe. Fake Christianity is the biggest turnoff in the world, but a real Christian can not help but persuade others by the life he or she lives. Your ministry to others will be effective to the degree that passion for Christ burns in your soul. Walk the walk as you talk the talk. Passion is the difference between dead religion and a living relationship with Christ.

Passion wins more people to Jesus and raises more money then any strategic planning you can do. When people see you burn, they want what you have.

  1. Promote your passion.

Let me tell you about my driving passion. This is what I live for. This is why I breathe. This is the reason God allowed me to be conceived. I absolutely believe in my life mission and nothing will get in my way. I stay up late and get up early to make my passion a reality. I skip meals, ignore the irrelevant, and focus on my destiny in order to create a tangible dream.

My passion is to reach as many people as possible in the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are millions of spiritually hungry people crying out for the bread of life. The lost are searching and I have what they are looking for. Lives hang in the balance; if I do not reach them, who will?

My passion is bigger then myself. It will take all of my energies for the rest of my life. No distraction will cause to turn away from reaching the lost. Nothing can cause me to stop because my passion stems from God’s passion for humankind. Passion comes as you spend time with God. If God was willing to give His only Son for me, should I not be willing to give my life for Him?

  1. Possess your passion.

What is your passion? Pin-point it, prepare for it, pursue it, persuade others with it, promote it, and you will possess your passion! Your passionate dream can become a reality. Find your passion and do not stop until you possess it.

Why Stay in the Valley When You Can Climb a Mountain?

As I write this I am climbing Pike’s Peak in Colorado Springs, CO. I am climbing with a group of fifteen people. We woke up at 4:30 this morning so we could get an early start climbing the thirteen mile trail. The summit is 14,110 feet above sea level, about six thousand feet above where we are right now.

Several other people decided not to climb the mountain. Instead, they stayed home and watched movies. They told the rest of us that they were satisfied to hear the reports that we will bring home.

As I climb, I am reminded of Moses climbing Mt. Sinai. God had descended onto the mountaintop in order to meet with the Israelites. But, when the people had seen God’s power, they trembled in fear. There was thunder, lightning, and a loud trumpet blast that frightened them. They stayed as far away as possible and they told Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die” (Exodus 20:19).

Moses climbed the mountain to speak with God Almighty, but the Israelites were content to stay in the valley. The people did not want to hear the voice of God. Even though they were interested in what God was saying to Moses, they did not want to hear God themselves. “To the Israelites the glory of the LORD looked like a consuming fire on top of the mountain. Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up the mountain….” (Exodus 24:17-18).

The Israelites saw the glory of the Lord, but only Moses experienced the glory of the Lord. Some people are content to sit in the valley and hear stories about what God is doing, instead of climbing to the mountaintop to visit with God themselves. It is possible to see the effects of God’s presence and to hear reports about it without actually experiencing His presence.      In the last several hours, I have discovered that hiking up a mountain this tall is mostly a matter of repeatedly putting one foot in front of the other. Even though my muscles may be sore, my breath may be short, and my body may be tired, I must keep climbing. The end is in sight, and I must reach my destination. It is hard work climbing a mountain, but the feeling when you reach the top is worth it.

God has a destination for your life. Reaching your mountain top is going to require hard work and a daily commitment to taking the next step. If you want to meet God, and to be all that He wants you to be, you need to leave the valley and start climbing the mountain. Step by step, day by day, you need to read your Bible, pray, and seek God’s presence, only then will you be able to experience God’s power as Moses did.

Are you going to stay in the valley or are you going to climb the mountain? Are you going to be satisfied with hearing reports about what God is doing or are you going to experience His hand yourself? If you want to climb the mountain, begin right now by taking a moment to talk with God.

Heaven’s Heroes

Imagine a group of friends gathered together on the porch of your mansion in heaven. You have eaten a scrumptious meal and as the food settles, the group sits down to reminisce about the victories won on earth. “Moses, tell the story again about how God parted the Red Sea,” you say.

The great patriarch clears his throat and begins to tell the tale, “There were chariots as far as the eye could see. Pharaoh was shaking his spear. The water loomed up on either side of the passageway through the sea. God’s people were quaking in fear. But I lifted up my rod and suddenly the water came tumbling down. Let me tell you, we had a party in the desert that night.”

“Daniel, tell us about God saving you from the lions.” Breathlessly, you listen as he tells about how an angel shut the mouth of the big cats.

For hours, you ask each other questions.

“Luther, what were you feeling when you nailed the ninety-five thesis up on the door?”

“Noah, was it hard to build a big boat when you had never seen rain?”

“Elijah, were you surprised when fire actually fell from heaven?”

“William Carry, we want to hear about the thousands of heathens saved in India.”

“Billy, when you first started preaching, did you ever imagine you would minister to over two hundred million people in your lifetime?”

Suddenly, the party goes silent. A man, with nail scars in his hands, says, “There’s one story we haven’t heard yet this evening.”

A shiver goes up and down your spine. No matter how many times you see Jesus, it’s a rush just being in his presence. You wonder which of heaven’s heros Jesus is talking about. Then you realize everyone is looking at you. You glance at Jesus and his finger is pointed in your direction. You look over your shoulder and there is no one behind you.

Jesus says, “My friend, tell me about the people you witnessed to.”

Each day, you write the story you will tell for eternity. What tale will you tell of todays activities?

What is an Intercessor?

1. Intercession is standing in the gap.

Ezekiel 22:30 “I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none.

Stone walls protected the farm animals from wolves and foxes, but if there was a hole in the wall, the sheep would be unprotected. The shepherd would stand in the gap to protect the animals. God is looking for those who will stand in the gap on behalf of the land.

  1. Intercession meansyou pray for someone else.

You can’t intercede for yourself.

  1. Intercession is the sixth piece of the armor of God.

Ephesians 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

  1. Intercession is taking up someone elses burden as if it is your own.
  1. Intercession is hard work and many people dont do it because they are lazy and selfish.

People pray for themselves and ask for prayer but rarely take time to pray for others.

  1. Intercession is a seed into someones life.

When you intercede for others, Jesus will intercede for you before God’s throne. The seed you sow becomes the harvest you reap.

  1. An intercessor is not agap locator,an intercessor is a gap-stander.

The intercessor stands on truth, not hearsay and gossip. The intercessor does not look for problems, they look for what God’s Word says.

  1. Intercession brings healing and forgiveness of sins.

1 Kings 13:6 Then the king said to the man of God, “Intercede with the LORD your God and pray for me that my hand may be restored.” So the man of God interceded with the LORD, and the king’s hand was restored and became as it was before.

  1. Intercession is what Jesus does for us.

Hebrews 7:25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

How to Spark a Revival

In 1859, Charles Darwin wrote a book entitled “The Origin of Species.” Although this book destroyed the creationist viewpoint in the minds of many modern day scientists, there is something which can be learned from Darwin’s theories. The central tenet of the theory of evolution is the concept of  “the survival of the fittest.” This theory explains how gradual development brings change in the evolutionary process. According to Darwin, species change because only the fittest, smartest, or fastest animals survive the struggle of life.  Species with favorable traits survive longer then species with less favorable traits. The animals with superior traits live longer and produce more offspring who carry on the better traits.  The fittest animals become dominant in life’s game.

In the business world, we often see the principle of the “survival of the fittest” at work. Corporations who sell goods inexpensively with better service last longer then corporations who do not listen to the desires of their customers. Competitive companies survive longer in the corporate jungle.

A similar principle is at work in the spiritual world. In Darwin’s theory the strongest animals are the most likely to survive; in the same way, in the spiritual world, the strongest Christians are the ones most likely to see a move of God. God moves among those who are spiritually fit. Many people desire revival in their personal lives and churches, but only those who are spiritually ready will experience revival. I call this concept “revival of the fittest.” Revival will come to those who have built their spiritual survival skills.

There are several keys to becoming spiritually fit. Here are some concepts which can prepare you for revival.

  1. Ignite a genuine passion for Jesus.

Pat Robertson says that the best definition for revival can be found in the words of a song “Turn your Eyes upon Jesus.”

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,

Look full in His wonderful face,

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim

In the light of His glory and grace.

The first step towards revival comes when we turn our eyes toward Jesus. When we look him in the eyes, the glory and anointing of God invades our hearts and the trivial details of life become unimportant.

  1. Develop an abhorrence for sin.

When we see Jesus, a new standard is set for us to imitate. The perfection of Jesus causes us to notice the dirty condition of our own lives and the sin which was once considered normal becomes abhorrent to us. As Job said, My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you. Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes (Job 42:5-6).

After George Bush was elected in 1988, he gave a speech that made some American farmers upset. In that speech, he mentioned that he did not like eating broccoli and that he would not allow anyone to bring any broccoli into the White House since he hated it so much. He said that when he was a kid, his mom made him eat it, but now that he was President, no one could force him to eat the green vegetable. Of course, all the broccoli farmers were mad at him and a couple of weeks later they sent an entire semi-truck full of broccoli to the White House. George Bush thanked them and promptly gave the broccoli away to a non-profit organization that feeds the poor. President Bush did not allow a single piece of broccoli into his house. Why? Because he abhorred the stuff.

If we will abhor sin, we will not allow a single sinful desire into our brains. God absolutely hates sin. He hates it so much that he refuses to stand in the presence of sin. When we spend time with Jesus, we begin to hate sin as well. Revival will not come until we hate sin so much that we remove every vestige of sin from our lives.

Sinful desire are like flies buzzing around one=s head. A fly will buzz right in front of your face and then have the boldness of land directly on your nose. You swat it away, but as soon as you go back to working, the fly lands again. Giving into sin is like allowing a dirty, germ filled fly to walk across your face. Just as you continually shoe the fly away, you must also continually rid your mind of sinful thoughts. You will not be free from that sinful desire until you kill it

The power of God is the flyswatter that kills sin. This power can change the lives of prostitutes, drug addicts, liers, alcoholics, and those addicted to pornography.  Satan may be the king of the flies, but we have a Holy Spirit fly swatter to put him in his place.

The Power of Personal Development

Personal development is “intentional, deliberate growth and advancement.” Before one can lead others, one must lead oneself. The best indication of being able to lead oneself is continual daily improvement in one’s life.

For many years, I have kept a small paper in the front of my Bible with my personal development goals. Here is my daily checklist:

Spiritual Development

Prayer (Meditation & Visualization)

Scripture Memory

Bible Reading

Listening to the Bible

Language Development

Spanish Study

Greek Study

Product Development

Writing (1 Hour)

Sermon Practice

Relationship Development

Who did I write, e-mail, call, or meet with?

How are my family relations?

Personal Development

Exercise

Lifelong Learning (Motivational, Business, Classical Literature, Church History, Theology)

How are you developing yourself every day?

Thoughts About Stewardship

stewardship is a trust. A steward is “one called to exercise responsible care over possessions entrusted to him or her.” We’re stewards over our time, our talents, and our resources”  (Covey, First Things First, p. 129). Stewardship involves a sense of being accountable to someone or something higher than self.”

Stewardship: taking care of another’s stuff as if it is your own.

– Everything we have is a gift from God…our time, talents, air we breath, water we drink, spouse, etc.

Everything we have comes from God.

1 Chronicles 29:14 “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”

Everything we give God, comes from Him.

– Everything we give comes from God…He still maintains ownership…

– The earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof…

            – You don’t have any rights, relationships, or resources but what God has given you.

How can you get arrogant if everything you have comes from God?

Matthew 25:14 “Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them”  – We are God’s servants with His goods.

Matthew 25:19 “After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them” – There will be a reckoning…God will hold us accountable for what he has given us.

– There is no privilege without responsibility. There is no promotion without faithfulness.

We are stewards of God’s resources…money, opportunity, people’s lives, open doors,

In the parable of the talents, the stewards produced more than they were given.

Stewardship: To leave things better than when we found it.

Stewards make choices that are good for the kingdom… good for the family…it might cause them temporary discomfort…but they know it is best for the kingdom.

32 Secrets of Being an Effective Minister

  1. The minister is first called to minister to the Lord.“Now take Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister to Me as priest…”(Exodus 28:1).
  2. The minister is anointed and consecrated.“And you shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister to Me as priests”(Exodus 30:30).
  3. The minister can minister through music.“They were ministering with music before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of meeting, until Solomon had built the house of the LORD in Jerusalem, and they served in their office according to their order”(1 Chron. 6:32).
  4. Ministers are appointed.“And he appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, to commemorate, to thank, and to praise the LORD God of Israel”(1 Chron. 16:4).
  5. Ministers are ones who are set apart for God’s service.Aaron was set apart, he and his sons forever, that he should sanctify the most holy things, to burn incense before the LORD, to minister to Him, and to give the blessing in His name forever”(1 Chron 23:13).
  6. Ministers are authorized to receive offerings.“For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the grain, of the new wine and the oil, to the storerooms where the articles of the sanctuary are, where the priests who minister and the gatekeepers and the singers are; and we will not neglect the house of our God”(Nehemiah 10:39).
  7. Ministers are a cause for rejoicing.“…Judah rejoiced over the priests and Levites who ministered”(Nehemiah 12:44).
  8. Ministers are to give God pleasure.“Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His pleasure”(Psalm 103:21).
  9. Ministers should be on-fire for God.“Who makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire”(Psalm 104:4).
  10. Ministers stand as intercessors between God and His people.“Let the priests, who minister to the LORD, Weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, “Spare Your people, O LORD, And do not give Your heritage to reproach…”(Joel 2:17).
  11. Ministering to the poor is like ministering to Jesus.“Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?”(Matthew 25:44).
  12. Women ministered to Jesus’ needs.“And many women who followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to Him, were there looking on from afar”(Matthew 27:55).
  13. Ministers are called to “minister the word.”“just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word delivered them to us”(Luke 1:2).
  14. Being called to minister to others begins with a time of ministering to the Lord.“As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”(Acts 13:2).
  15. Paul was personally called by Jesus to be a minister.“But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you”(Acts 26:16).
  16. The call to ministry is a gift given by grace.“Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness” (Romans 12:6-8).
  17. Politicians and rulers are “ministers” of God.“For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil” (Romans 13:3-5).
  18. Ministers minister Jesus Christ and the Gospel.that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit”(Romans 15:16).
  19. Ministry is more than spiritual enlightenment, it is also physical help.“For if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister to them in material things”(Romans 15:27).
  20. God uses ministers to bring people to salvation.“Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one?”(1 Corinthians 3:5).
  21. We are ministers of the new covenant.“…who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life”(2 Corinthians 3:6).
  22. God has given us the “ministry of reconciliation.”“Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation”(2 Corinthians 5:18).
  23. We are ministers of Christ.“Are they ministers of Christ?—I speak as a fool—I am more…”(2 Corinthians 11:23).
  24. We become ministers according to the gift of God’s grace.“I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power”(Ephesians 3:7).
  25. We are ministers of the Gospel.“the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister”(Col 1:23).
  26. The ministry is a stewardship.“…I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you…”(Col. 1:25).
  27. We must “take heed” to the ministry God has given us.“Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.”(Col. 4:17).
  28. God wants to put faithful men into ministry.“I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry”(1 Timothy 1:12).
  29. It is possible to be a “good minister.”“If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed”(1 Timothy 4:6).
  30. God will not forget our ministry.“For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister”(Hebrews 6:10).
  31. We are to use our gifts to minister to one another.“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God”(1 Peter 4:10).
  32. We are to minister to the best of our ability.“If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (1 Peter 4:11).

Oh, My God!

Have you ever experienced an “Oh, my God” moment? I’m not talking about saying this in a flippant and irreverent way, but in the most profound sense of the term.

Recently, I sat down after a crusade, put my head in my hands, and whispered “Oh, my God.” No other term would suffice to express the depth of what I was feeling. The anointing of God was so powerful during worship. I felt God’s presence so strongly as I preached. Thousands gave their lives to Jesus for the first time. A blind man’s eyes opened. A crippled lady walked for the first time.

An Oh, my God moment is when heaven shines upon earth, when God transcends time and space and breaks in upon our normal everyday existence.

When I hear a mute boy speak for the first time in his life, all I can say is “Oh, my God.” When I see an alcoholic father become a Christian and forsake drinking, all I can say is “Oh, my God.” When I see thousands of Muslims raise their hands to receive Jesus, all I can say is “Oh, my God.” In these moments, you KNOW that God is real and that He cares for each of us!

In the next few months, I anticipate having several “Oh, my God” moments as we travel to country after country sharing the good news about Jesus Christ.

Have you ever experienced an “Oh, my God” moment? A time when God amazed you with His goodness? I want to hear about what God has done for you. Use the tear-off coupon at the bottom of this letter to tell us about the great victories you have experienced recently. Or, tell us what miracles you need RIGHT NOW and we will pray for you to have an “Oh, My God” moment when God miraculously meets your need.

I am praying for YOU to have many  “Oh my God” moments. I want you to experience miracles like never before. I am praying for your family members to be saved…for the money in your bank account to increase…for healing to come to your body. I believe you will experience MIRACLES so big that all you will be able to say is “Oh, my God, thank-you for being so good!”

8 Reasons Why God Does Miracles

1.  Proof-Positive

Miracles prove the reality of God’s existence. Mentally, I questioned the existence of God, until I began seeing miracles. The problem with this is that once you have proof, you no longer need faith.

  1. To bring people to Jesus

Saint Augustine, one of the great Christian thinkers said, “I should not be a Christian but for the miracles.” Marilyn Hickey told me “Miracles are like the dinner bell which calls people to the banqueting table.” Miracles are God’s advertisement system.

  1. To lift up the name of Jesus.

One of the Hebrew words for miracles is also used for a banner on top of a tall pole. Because it is up so high in the air, it enables the banner to be seen from a long distance. God performs mighty signs so people who are not close to Him can see a manifestation of His presence.

  1. That you may believe.

John wrote, “Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:30‑31 – emphasis added).

  1. To authenticate Jesus

When a school applies for accreditation, it must prove it is a good school. Peter preached, “Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him” (Acts 2:22). God used miracles to prove Jesus was authentic.

  1. To confirm our salvation.

The writer of Hebrews said, “Salvation… was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will” (Hebrews 2:3-4).

  1. To bring people to repentance.

Jesus denounced the cities in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent. He said, “Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes” (Matthew 11:21).

  1. To demonstrate God’s compassion

Many times, our Father does miracles simply because He cares for His children (Matt. 9:36).

Choking an Elephant to Death

In Africa there are many ant colonies. One ant colony was regularly attacked by a rogue elephant. Every time the ants finished building their colony, the elephant would destroy it with his massive feet.

One day, the ants were so tired of rebuilding that they called a committee meeting. They decided to defend their home by climbing a tree together. When the elephant passed by underneath, they planned to jump from the tree, land on the elephant, and sting it to death.

So, they put their plan into motion. They climbed the tree and as the elephant was walking by, the leader gave the signal. All the ants jumped down onto the elephant’s back. But the elephant just shook his back and all the ants went flying.

The ants were all discouraged but then they looked up and saw one ant that was still hanging at the elephants neck. All the ants started jumping up and down and shouting, “Choke him, choke him.”

Sometimes, I feel just like that ant who was trying to choke the elephant to death. I am trying to save the world, meanwhile all the churches in the United States are shouting “Evangelize the World, Evangelize the world.”

It takes more than ONE person to save the world! We need your help. Thank you for standing with us and helping us to “choke” this elephant sized problem of world evangelization. Your gift is celebrated! Thank you so much!

What will Your Estate Sale Look Like?

My wife Jessica likes going to garage sales on Saturday mornings…here are some of my thoughts about an estate sale we visited recently.

Visiting an estate sale is depressing. I scan the accumulated junk of an anonymous lifetime and realize nothing is worth buying. It is hard to feel sorry for the poor person who died and left a house full of junk. I wonder who lived here. What was important to this person? Was she happy? Did she live a full life or was she a bitter old unfulfilled person?

Clues about her life are hidden in the piles of shabby sweaters and chipped dishes.

I look at her bookshelf. “How to Fight Cancer, and Win!” one book is titled. “I guess she didn’t win” I think to myself. A mish-mash of other books on healthy eating and proper diet reveal an ultimately futile obsession with health. The Encyclopedia Brittanica from 1974 would be interesting, although the volume for the letter P is missing. A dusty Bible. A dog-eared romantic novel with a picture of a half-naked man and woman overlooking a sunset from a beach catches my attention. A history of the first one hundred years of the First Baptist Church of Tulsa. A book of recipes is stuffed full of yellowed newspaper clippings. Nothing interests me.

The cabinet full of antique china looks like a prized possession. I could own the set for $35. The actual cabinet is unavailable, I am informed by a bright red sticker that proclaims SOLD.

The guest bedroom boasts an assortment of old fashioned cameras, derelict printers, sheet sets, pots, and an old mop.

A picture of a frowning ancestor stares at me from the wall. The frame is for sale, I suppose I could dispose of the picture, but its an ugly frame.

There is a pile of old music cassettes. Beethoven’s Fifth sits next to Elvis’ Greatest Hits.

The livingroom couch has a deep indentation on one cushion directly across from where the television set used to be. I guess someone already bought the TV although I do notice a massive grainy color TV and a black and white TV in one of the bedroom closets. The coffee table is old and stained with liquid rings. An old plastic tree is losing all its leaves in the corner. A tri-fold Chinese screen is in the other corner. It costs $750. No one has bought it yet.

The carpet is shaggy and worn. Upstairs looks like it has newer carpet but a sign informs me there is nothing to buy up there.

Three Hispanic men lug an old wooden piano out the door. Price? $300. They look happy.

The master bedroom contains almost nothing. The closet has been cleared of everything but three empty hat boxes. A headboard and footboard lean against the wall. In the bathroom, I see an empty toothbrush holder and shower curtain rings.

I check out the bargain bin. The carefully sewn sampler is 50% off. The monogrammed towels are nice, if my initials happened to be RHF I would buy them in a heartbeat.

In the garage, I see some tools. One old Craftsman plane with cracked wooden handles. Three hammers, various sizes. A rake. A dusty hoe. A box full of hundreds of assorted nails, screws, and metal do-hickies. I notice a broken sowing machine and an ironing board.

I walk out without buying anything. This person’s life has nothing that interests me. That is depressing.

As I leave the house and walk back into the sunlight I ask myself these questions: Will anyone buy what is left of my life after I die? Will all my precious paperbacks be sold for $0.10 each? What useless item will I store for forty years in a closet? Will my stuff end up in a bargain basket or a trash bin? What story will my house tell? Will the leftover dregs of my life inspire or depress? What can I do to end my life with deeper significance than just a pile of assorted junk?

No one on their deathbed wishes for more stuff in their closets. However, many wish they had spent more time with their kids, done more for God, or positively influenced future generations. What are you doing to make a difference? Is your life focused on getting more stuff or are you focused on creating a life of significance?

Save the Man

On May 29, 1953 Edmond Hillary became the first human in history to reach the peak of Mount Everest, the tallest mountain in the world. His achievement stands as one of the great accomplishments of mankind.

But controversy erupted in May of 2006 by others who dreamed of conquering the summit. Climbers who wanted to reach the top passed a mountaineer who was dying on the trail. Instead of stopping to save his life, they chose to pass him by so their dreams would be fulfilled. As an old man, when Sir Edmond Hillary was asked what he would have done in the same situation, He said forcefully, “Save the man!” Faced with the risk of losing a great achievement in order to save a man’s life, he chose the way of compassion.

When Peter, James, and John wanted to stay on top of the Mount of Transfiguration, Jesus knew there was a demon-possessed boy who was waiting to be healed. Jesus left the mountaintop to go “save the man!”

Would you be willing to lose a “mountain-top experience” in order to save someone’s life? Sometimes it requires great sacrifice to save someone’s life, but I believe it is always worthwhile. This is why I am so thankful for your sacrificial giving…because of your gifts, we are able to “save the man.”

This is why we go to the nations! Our goal is to “save the man!” Thank you for helping us save souls around the world.

The Power of a Transformation

The word, “transformation” means “a sudden and complete change.”

Let me give you some examples of transformation:

  1. When a caterpillar becomes a butterfly.
  2. When winter becomes spring.
  3. When night becomes day.

I have experienced transformation in my life.

  1. When I left my family to go to college.

                        – Laundry, food, waking up in the morning,

  1. When I got married.
  2. When our first child was born.

What happens when a family is transformed?

  1. A man stops drinking and starts providing for his family.
  2. A wife stops complaining and starts to show love to her family.
  3. A child stops rebelling and starts obeying.

When the family unravels, the whole nation can unravel.

What happens when a nation is transformed?     Righteousness exalts the nation.

  1. Poverty decreases and prosperity increases.
  2. Violence decreases and peace increases.
  3. Hopelessness decreases and opportunity increases.
  4. Corruption decreases and servanthood increases.
  5. People stop taking and start giving.

My father experienced transformation in his life. His life changed when he met Jesus.

Zacchaeus’ Life was Transformed in One Day – Luke 19:1-10

  1. Short
  2. Chief Tax Collector
  3. Rich
  4. Sinner who cheated people.

Jesus knows your name

Jesus wants to eat with you.

How was his life transformed?

  1. He calls Jesus “Lord.”
  2. He pledges to give away his wealth

In response to this amazing act of repentance and generosity, Jesus says “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham…”

Where does transformation begin?

            – Transformation begins in your heart.

– If you change, your family can be changed.

– If you change, your nation can be transformed.

39 Ways to Know If You Are in a Revival

Acts Chapter 2 Gives Us 39 Signs of a True Revival

  1. Revival begins with the HOLY SPIRIT.

“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:1-4).

  1. Revival is for every NATION in the world.

“And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.  And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born? Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabs we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God” (Acts 2:5-11).

  1. Revival is AMAZING!

“So they were all amazed…”  (Acts 2:12).

  1. Revival may be PUZZLING to those who have never heard.

So they were all…perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?” 13Others mocking said, “They are full of new wine.” 14But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words.15For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day” (Acts 2:12-15).

  1. Revival comes as a fulfillment of PROPHECY.

16But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel” (Acts 2:16).

  1. Revival heralds the LAST DAYS.

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, (Acts 2:17).

  1. Revival is not a drop, not a trickle, but a mighty rushing RIVER.

“That I will pour out of My Spirit…”  (Acts 2:17).

  1. Revival is for EVERYONE! “On all flesh,” (Acts 2:17).
  1. Revival is for MEN. “Your sons” (Acts 2:17).
  1. Revival is for WOMEN.“and your daughters shall prophesy” (Acts 2:17).
  1. Revival is for the YOUNG.“Your young men shall see visions” (Acts 2:17). Normally, young men only see girls, but this verse says they will see visions.
  1. Revival is for the OLD.“Your old men shall dream dreams” (Acts 2:17).
  1. Revival is for ORDINARY PEOPLE.“And on My menservants and on My maidservants” (Acts 2:18).
  1. Revival’s evidence is the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

“I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy” (Acts 2:18).

  1. Revival is accompanied by SIGNS and WONDERS.

“I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath” (Acts 2:19).

  1. Revival has three guarantees…the BLOOD of Jesus, the FIRE of the Holy Spirit, and the PRESENCE of God.

“Blood and fire and vapor of smoke” (Acts 2:19).

  1. Revival Proclaims the RETURN of Christ.

“The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord” (Acts 2:20).

  1. Revival saves SINNERS.

“And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Acts 2:21).

  1. Revival is proved by MIRACLES.

“Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know Him” (Acts 2:22).

  1. Revival emphasizes the DEATH and RESURECTION of Jesus.

“…being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it” (Acts 2:23-24).

  1. Revival produces REJOICING!

“For David says concerning Him: “I foresaw the Lord always before my face, For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken, Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad” (Acts 2:25-26).

  1. Revival inspires HOPE.

“Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope” (Acts 2:26).

  1. Revival saves people from HELL.

“For You will not leave my soul in Hades, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption” (Acts 2:27).

  1. Revival teaches us how to LIVE.

“You have made known to me the ways of life” (Acts 2:28).

  1. Revival fills us with JOY!

“You will make me full of joy in Your presence” (Acts 2:28).

  1. Revival is worth WITNESSING about.

“This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses” (Acts 2:32).

  1. Revival is GUARANTEED by Jesus who sits beside God the Father.

“Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear. “For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself: The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand” (Acts 2:33-34).

  1. Revival defeats ENEMIES.

“Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” (Acts 2:35).

  1. Revival’s heart is the knowledge that Jesus is LORD.

“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” (Acts 2:36).

  1. Revival IMPACTS people.

“Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” (Acts 2:37).

  1. Revival demands REPENTANCE.

“Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38).

  1. Revival continues to impact people TODAY!

“For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call” (Acts 2:39).

  1. Revival saves every GENERATION.

“And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation” (Acts 2:40)

  1. Revival produces RESULTS!

Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them” (Acts 2:41).

  1. Revival creates DISCIPLES.

“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. (Acts 2:42).

  1. Revival produces Signs and Wonders.

“Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles” (Acts 2:43).

  1. Revival creates an atmosphere of GIVING and FELLOWSHIP.

“Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need” (Acts 2:44-45).

  1. Revival meets people’s NEEDS.

“So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people” (Acts 2:46-47).

  1. Revival bears DAILY FRUIT.

“And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:47).

A Demonic Conversation

Once three demons were arguing about how to prevent people from being saved.

The first demon said, “We will remove the promise of reward by telling people there is no heaven.”

The second demon had another idea, “We will remove the threat of punishment by deceiving people into believing there is no hell.”

The third demon retorted, “Neither of your ideas will work. Instead of attacking the idea of heaven and hell we will simply remove their sense of urgency by telling everyone that they don’t need to get saved now, they can always do it tomorrow.”

Which of these three demonic ideas work best in today’s society? What do you think?

A Monument to Soul Winning

You will never believe what was covered up for 100 years.

Recently, I read this wonderful story:

“The Washington Monument (169 meters tall) in Washington D.C. was started in 1848 and finished in 1884. It opened to the public in October of 1885. During a recent renovation of the lobby, construction workers found some graffiti from the 1800’s which has quite a different tone from that usually found today on the sides of buildings and subway cars:

Whoever is the human instrument under God in the conversion of one soul, enacts a monument to his own memory more lofty and enduring than this. reads the inscription which can now to viewed by visitors to the monument. It is signed BFB. No one know who that is, or who left the small drawings and 19th century dates on the other walls.

The markings in the lobby of the monument were covered over when it was decorated at the turn of the century. They were found when workers removed marble wainscoting as part of a year long $500,000 renovation which was recently completed.”

It is true. Winning one soul to Christ is a much greater monument than anything you can build here on earth. Soul winning is the only investment that will matter ten thousand years from now.

We are a soul-winning ministry. Your giving helps us lead people to Jesus. Thank you for helping us erect eternal monuments for the King of Kings!

4 “Elements” of the Harvest

When Jesus saw the crowds of people, He had compassion on them. He said to His disciples, “Look, the fields are ready for harvest, but the laborers are few. Pray that the Lord of the harvest would send out workers into His harvest fields.” There are four important “L”ements of the harvest that we must think about:

  1. The LOOK of the Harvest– Jesus told His disciples to look at the harvest. Have you ever looked at the harvest fields? When I look at the harvest fields, I see a young Hindu girl from India desperately hungry. I see an old Muslim man facing Mecca praying to Allah. I see a family shopping at Wal-Mart in Tulsa. I see a crowd of children in Mexico playing soccer. I see an African man herding his cows. I see a Buddhist monk burning incense. I see a soldier of North Korea guarding the DMZ with a stoic face. I have seen all these people with my own eyes. What do you see when you look at the harvest?
  1. The LABORERS of the Harvest– Jesus said the laborers are few. He asks the disciples to pray for laborers to be sent out into the harvest fields. I believe they did pray because in the very next verse (Matthew 10:1), Jesus sends the disciples out as laborers and He gives them authority to do the same miracles He did. The disciples became the answer to their own prayers! I believe every follower of Jesus is called to work in the harvest fields by praying, giving, or going. Go and say, stay and pray, or help pay the way. YOU are a laborer!
  1. The LORD of the Harvest– God the Father is the Lord of the Harvest and He places no limits on the harvest. He wants ALL men to be saved; He promises to pour out His spirit on ALL flesh; He wants us to go into ALL the world. God’s heartbeat is for souls. Oh, that our hearts would beat with the same cadence!
  1. The LENGTH of the Harvest– There is only a brief window of time when the harvest is ripe. We must make use of this valuable time. The harvest will soon be past, only what is done for Christ will last. These are the last days. Jesus is coming soon. Time is short. We must make every second count for God! A passion for souls burns within me. When I think about the millions of lost people who are dying and going to hell it makes me cry. It is so vital to do whatever we can to win the lost. You are such an important part of what God is doing. I have such a huge appreciation for your prayers and your giving, which makes all our harvesting possible.

Jessica and I have heard the cry of the harvest. Our goal is to lead millions to Jesus. Thank you for helping us bring in the harvest!

Will You Be A Pig for Jesus?

Once there was a farmyard where a chicken, a cow, and a pig lived. One morning the chicken had an idea. The chicken said, “Brock, bock, let’s make breakfast for the farmer. I’ll give an egg.” The cow said, “Moo, I think that’s a good idea. I’ll give some milk.”

The pig said, “Oink, oink, hold on just a second, I’m not sure I want to give some bacon. If we make breakfast for the farmer, both of you will give a contribution, but I will have to make a sacrifice.”

Are you making a contribution to God, or are you willing to make a sacrifice? I encourage you to “Be a Pig for Jesus.”

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (00:00):
Joshua Freeman’s heart beats for missions. He lived in Haiti for three years. Then he pastored a local church in Tulsa for a while. This year he launched his own ministry called Embark Global Ministries. Today, he talks about his passion for evangelism.

Evangelism Podcast Host (00:16):
Jesus said, go into all the world and preach the gospel. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be welcome to the evangelism podcast with Dr. Daniel King, where Daniel interviews, full-time evangelists, pastors, missionary, and normal everyday Christians to discover how they share their faith, their powerful testimonies and amazing stories that will inspire you to reach people with the good news. And now here’s your host, missionary and evangelist Daniel King.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (00:52):
Welcome to the evangelism podcast. I’m Daniel King, and I’m excited about telling people about Jesus. They have a special guest with me, Joshua freemen. So

Joshua Freeman (01:03):
Wonderful to have you glad to be on this podcast with you today. Thank you so much for the opportunity. And so on this podcast, we talk about evangelism. We talk about people who have a heart for evangelism, and you have been involved in evangelism for many years now. Can you kind of tell me what got you started having a passion for evangelism? Yeah, actually I was 14 and I got invited to go on a mission trip. I never been on a mission trip before. And so one of my friends said that they were going to go and I said, well, I’ll try it. And sure enough they, we went on a mission trip to Mexico and as we went on that trip, I just begin to have this overwhelming desire to share the gospel with more and more people and just how real it became to me to help others find their life in Christ.

Joshua Freeman (01:53):
And so that really sparked a fire to continue to go share the gospel around the world. Where did you go in Mexico? Yeah, we went to Akuna Mexico just right off the border where we drove a bus for about 20 hours, but it was pretty awesome. Yeah. My parents were missionaries in Mexico for 20 years. We lived right across the border from El Paso, Texas, and NC that Juarez. We did lots of evangelism and what as we, we hosted dozens of groups every year. And I think we had a lot of groups from victory Christian center from here in Tulsa, Oklahoma come down and, and minister with us. Sometimes we’d take them out into the neighborhoods and do seven or eight services a day just going from neighborhood to neighborhood. And so we saw literally thousands and thousands of people give their lives to Jesus in Mexico.

Joshua Freeman (02:44):
And so you, you went on this first mission trip, you got a passion for evangelism passionate permissions. And then you went, you spent three years in the nation of Haiti. Tell me what you did while you were in Haiti. Yeah. So during our time in Haiti, we worked for victory compassion and we begin to build homes. We begin to build medical clinics. We also helped with school programs. We would go inside of the schools and we would evangelize there. We had over 20 schools allowing for us to come in and share the gospel each and every day of the week. And through that, we were able to feed those 20 schools. And also we started an IEPI there. And so we were able to begin to not only build homes, but begin to build relationships and feed and begin to minister the gospel on a daily basis.

Joshua Freeman (03:32):
Just this month, the president of Haiti was assassinated. And some of my friends who ministered there say that it’s been very difficult recently ministering in Haiti, just because of violence from different gangs. What was that like living in Haiti? Did you have to fight a lot of demons while you were there? You fought a lot of demons, for sure. You know I will say with the spiritual warfare, it was probably the toughest place. If you weren’t prayed up and ready, you know, you, you would feel the spiritual attack. There’s such a heaviness in Haiti because they’ve dedicated the island of voodoo. And so when you just go down the street, you might see a voodoo priests just out there, or you might walk into a place that you think is just safe in general, and there’s there being a sacrifice or something like that.

Joshua Freeman (04:22):
So it’s a very tough spot spiritually. So you have to really be ready. And then also with the violence, it actually has one of the largest ghettos in the world, citizen LA. And so the violence is extremely high, extremely dangerous. And so there might even be times where we wouldn’t leave the house for three days because of what they would call a manifestation. We call it a riot would happen to where they would block the streets, set fire to houses, to tires in the middle of the road. And you couldn’t go anywhere. So you, you know, when you’re in Haiti, it is a tough place to be, and it is hard and you have to continue to pray and be built up spiritually each and every day.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (05:03):
You have worked with Pastor Rod Baker, who he was the compassion outreach pastor at victory. And now he’s launched a church in Jenks and has a great feeding ministry there. And then you’re also working with Terry Henshaw who has a great ministry. He’s done all kinds of tremendous, uh, outreaches all over the United States and around the world. What are some of the things that you’ve learned working with pastor rod baker and pastor Terry Henshaw?

Joshua Freeman (05:36):
Yeah, I’ve been learning so much from both of them on a continual basis. First we’ll pass a ride. I personally asked him to teach me how to have more of a mercy gift and more of a generosity gift, because are two things that just ooze out of him, the gift of mercy, showing mercy in every situation and just being able to be so graceful with it and know he began to speak into my life just on how no matter what situation we walk into, we ought to show mercy and be able to be generous and loving to each and every person.

Joshua Freeman (06:08):
So those are some of the biggest takeaways I have because when you notice how Pastor Rod has built his ministry, you begin to see that, you know what, it’s from a place of compassion. It’s from a place of love. It’s a place of generosity because he has a saying that if God can get it through me, he’ll continue to get it to me. And you see that with his food ministry, that you know what something new will come in. And he’ll say, you know what? I have a friend who could use this truckload of rice in another place. And then the same thing works with Terry. Terry will get in a load of maybe it’s household goods or something else, or he does a disaster relief or a program somewhere where he begins to say, you know what? We need to make sure that we’re strategically blessing people in certain ways.

Joshua Freeman (06:50):
And so that’s what I’ve really began to learn is how to build connections. Relationships, operate in mercy and love towards everyone. So it’s really been a great time for me to be stretched and grown in so many ways because these men have been fighting the fight for years, showing love and compassion around the world. For several years, you pastored a church here in Tulsa, and one of the areas of Tulsa that needs a lot of outreach. What type of advice would you give to a pastor who wants to reach out to his campaign? Yeah, I would say first do it. Don’t hold back and go after every generation. So often we focus on maybe the older people in the church and, or the older people in the community. But I want to challenge you to go after every generation and then focus on your schools and the people in the area.

Joshua Freeman (07:47):
Because one of the things we focus on to the point where we were in all three schools in our community, almost on a daily basis, we went to the principals of schools. We went to the counselors, we begin to say, what needs do you have personally, whether it be they needed pencils, whether they be, they needed somebody just to sit in there for lunch, to talk to the kids. I want to tell you, don’t miss an opportunity to reach the kids. Don’t miss an opportunity to reach the teenagers or the adults because each and every one of those people, groups are so vitally important. So when you have the opportunity, don’t miss it. Take, take that bold step, even though it might be a little tough because you might be like, I don’t have enough time to do all these things, and it’s true.

Joshua Freeman (08:29):
Then you need to empower other people to help you and come alongside you. But you will definitely see the benefit and reap the harvest from doing it. Now this year, you have launched your own ministry, embark global ministries, and your ministry has a heart for evangelism, for training leaders for, for reaching out to the nations of the world. Tell me a little bit about what you hope to see God do through embark. Yes. Our long-term goal honestly, is to plant churches on every continent and to see those churches raised up by the leaders in those continents and begin to plant other churches. So our long-term goal is to just begin to disciple leaders, to make other leaders around the world, to the point where we begin to see the kingdom of God, BMA, manifested everywhere. And so our hope through, first of all, outreach, what that’s community base.

Joshua Freeman (09:24):
And then that’s global base is to make sure that we focus on reaching those right where they are. And even right here in Tulsa, reaching people locally. So we can make sure that they are being spiritually fed and then going around the world. And so that’s, the heart of embark is to continue to reach people each and every day, no matter where they are in their spiritual journey. And that’s what we continue to focus on and embark because every nation, the gospel is our, our main focus, sharing the gospel, every nation each and every time. Okay. Now this summer you took a team down to the Dominican Republic, and this is a very difficult time to minister because of COVID, but still you had good results down in the Dominican. Tell me some about what you did with the team and, and what type of ministry you did.

Joshua Freeman (10:15):
Yeah. So like you said, it was at the height of COVID in the Dominican Republic. With that being said, it changed a little bit of what we had planned, but God’s still opened up amazing doors. When we begin to go door to door sharing the gospel we actually had an amazing reception from people. People were actually grateful that someone had been coming to share the gospel. So every day we went door to door and then we also passed out food in the afternoon and we’ve been doing a feeding program for a number of years in the Dominican Republic where we’ll we’ll, we’ll buy like 50 bags of rice and our contact down there will help pass it out throughout the year. And so we continue to feed. And then we also had a crusade. We had a kids crusade and adults crusade, and we just did it all in the morning.

Joshua Freeman (11:02):
And so they came and we had dancers. We had some of the most popular characters, like Sonic, the hedgehog, all kinds of stuff. They came out and we even had other things like clowns. We had all kinds of great things to invite people out. And then we gave away for the adults, 50 sacks or rice, and then we gave away 20 bicycles. And so it was an amazing time. I’ll tell you personally, it was one of the most refreshing times because though so many other things were going on around us with COVID and all those things that God opened up doors for us to be able to minister to city officials. He opened up doors for us to just minister during such a crazy time right now. And so it’s been a huge, it was a huge blessing to be able to do that because I personally was kind of like, oh no, I would hate for us not to be able to share, but knowing how many people were so receptive was a huge blessing.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (11:57):
Let’s talk about evangelism. Why do you think it is important for more people to be evangelistic? Why do you think evangelism is on God’s heart? What do you think God wants the church to do in the area of evangelism in the next a few years?

Joshua Freeman (12:14):
I’m glad you asked this question because this was on my heart. For the past few days, I love the saying that two thirds of God’s name is go. So G O God’s name is literally telling you to go. That means go into all the world, share the gospel. Don’t hesitate. Just go. So often we get afraid of going to the point where we, we stay stagnant and do nothing, but we’ve been, first of all, given the great commission. Second of all, the greatest thing we can do is go and tell people of his love. And so it’s going to take the church and that’s the body of Christ going to their neighbors, to their friends, being a light, not just physically anymore.

Joshua Freeman (12:54):
Cause a lot of people will, will be like, well, my life is going to be the example. It’s time for us. Not only to let our lives be the example, but our mouth begin to speak out God’s word and begin to allow for people to hear the love of God. Come out of your mouth. Hey, Jesus does love you. Hate Jesus cares about you because people haven’t heard that in so long from believers. Most, most believers have stayed quiet. And I believe in the next four or five, 10 years that as the body of Christ begins to rise up, we will see the next generations come to know Christ as well. Because as long as we stay silent, we are hindering their opportunity to hear about the goodness of God. And that’s not what we’re called to do. We’re called to be a light, not hide our light, but to continue to show it no matter where we are because Jesus, Hey, we all know John three 16, but I love John three 16 through 17.

Joshua Freeman (13:48):
It says for God, so loved the world that he gave. And then when you go to 17, it says he didn’t get, he didn’t do that to condemn the world. But through that, the whole world might be saved. He wanted to give an opportunity for people to come to know him. That’s the message that we have to share no matter where you are, no matter the social economic status, tell people the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ and our promise you, it will benefit them and it will change your life forever. Amen. Amen. Well, let’s finish up today by praying for those who have a heart for evangelism. Can you pray a good holy spirit full of power prayer that God was sending more evangelists out to the harvest field, the world. Yeah. Dear heavenly father, we thank you for this day. Lord, we just ask that right now.

Joshua Freeman (14:35):
You continue to empower your body of Christ, father God. They begin to rise up and father, God begin to go into all the world and preach the gospel no matter where they are, father God, that you will begin to let them know father God that they have been called for such a time as this, they have been by the guide. You will equip them each and every day. So Lord, I pray right now that you begin to speak father God, to their hearts, father, God, and you begin to aluminate their minds so that they can see, they can hear and they can move as you’ve called them to move low each and every day. Father, I pray that you do just like you did for Jeremiah. You touch their mouth father. So not they speak, but you speak through them each and every step of the way, father God, I pray that they are bold as lions each and every day.

Joshua Freeman (15:17):
Going after the loss, no matter what is said before them God that they will continue to be risen up father God and see the great commission come to fruition in their lifetime in Jesus’ mighty name. We pray. Amen. Amen. Josh, it’s wonderful to have you as a guest on the evangelism podcast. Urgent E-Mail from Heaven

From: Angelic Building & Construction (AB&C Team – Sector 6)

To: Head of Mansion Construction

Subject: Heavenly Real Estate Boom

______________________

During the fourth quarter, there has been a rapid increase in soul winning on earth. While this is wonderful news, it has implications that must be addressed by our division.

As you know, our master carpenter (May he reign forever) promised each believer a mansion. Ever since he arrived back in heaven, our construction division has been working hard. At first, it was easy to keep up with the needs and at one point during the Middle Ages we were actually ahead of schedule. However, in these last days there has been a massive surge in demand.

As a case in point, Daniel & Jessica King just finished a Soul Winning Festival in Ethiopia and had over 55,000 people pray with them for salvation in just four days. When we received the work order for that many new mansions my wings almost fell off.

Here are my recommendations for accommodating this new growth:

  1. The sector of heaven we are working on is almost full, I recommend opening up a new area. Real estate prices are going way up due to supply and demand. We’ll have to push back the gates of hell and use some of the land they were planning on using. They won’t be needing it anymore.
  2. Alert the pavement angels. Increase their gold brick quota ten-fold.
  3. Send a messenger to the head office and get blue prints for all the new houses. You know how much Jesus likes to individualize each house plan.
  4. Pull some of the angels off “fiesta duty”and send them to help me build. I know its fun throwing a party every time a sinner gets saved, but if we don’t step up the pace we’ll never get finished before the M-SOL (Marriage Supper Of the Lamb).

No one here knows the day or the hour Jesus will be heading back to get his bride, but we do know the time is very close. We anticipate having the greatest harvest of souls in history just prior to his return. If we are going to have the mansions anywhere near complete, we need to get hopping on this immediately. We will have an eternity to rest, but right now there is no time to waste.

Will You Receive a Crown?

Why do you serve the Lord? We do not serve God for temporal rewards like recognition or promotion; we serve for eternity! When we get to heaven, each of us will receive a crown. The Bible mentions five different types of crowns that will be given to the faithful. Which of these crowns will you receive?

  1. The Imperishable Crown“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever” (1 Corinthians 9:24-25). This crown is for those who victoriously run the race of life, those who bring their flesh under the Spirit’s control, and those who refuse to be enslaved by their sinful nature. Olympic athletes who succeed, train and are disciplined, they keep their eyes on the prize, they stay focused, and they have a purpose for running. They win temporary glory…but we run for eternal glory. We run for ETERNITY!
  1. The Crown of Glorious Fruit“For what is our hope, our joy, or thecrown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when He comes? Is it not you? Indeed, you are our glory and joy” (1 Thessalonians 2:19-20). This crown is mentioned again in Philippians 4:1, “Therefore, my brothers, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown…” Paul’s spiritual fruit is his crown. Those who receive this crown are soul winners, they are disciple makers, and they are faithful to declare the Gospel.

Once, a woman went to heaven and noticed everyone wearing crowns. She asked an angel, “Where is my crown, for I have not received one yet?” “Oh,” the angel said, “On what basis do you deserve a crown?” She replied, “I witnessed in my way.” “Oh?” the angel asked, “So, tell me, what sort of witness were you in your lifetime of Christian living?” “I was a silent witness,” she explained. “I see,” said the angel, “Then for your silent witness, you shall receive an invisible crown. Here they are, you may select one in your size.” He pointed to a case that appeared to be empty. “But, I don’t see any crowns in there,” she wondered, “How are others to see I am wearing one of these?” “Oh,” explained the angel, “In the same way in which they learned of Christ through what you say is recorded as your silent witness.”

  1. The Crown of Righteousness“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for methe crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day– and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing” (2 Timothy 4:7-8). This crown is for those who are looking for Christ to return. Did you know He is coming soon?
  1. The Crown of Life“Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive thecrown of life that God has promised to those who love Him” (James 1:12). Again, “Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life” (Revelation 2:10). The crown of life is also known as the crown of martyrs. On the mission field I have met many who are willing to give their life for Christ. This is the heavenly equivalent of the Purple Heart or the Medal of Honor. Those who receive this crown will be battle-scarred soldiers who served bravely. They are willing to both DIE for Christ and LIVE for Christ.
  1. The Crown of Glory“Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers – not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be;not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away” (1 Peter 5:2-4). This crown will be given to the faithful shepherds of God’s flock.

We must be faithful to serve God lest we lose our crown. Jesus says, “I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown (Revelation 3:11).

There are 3 ways people lose their crowns:

  1. Lack of Faithfulness. They get tired of doing right.
  2. Lack of Righteousness. They allow sin to enter in. A moment of weakness can lose a lifetime of reward…sin will keep you longer then you want to stay, take you farther then you want to go, cost you more than you want to pay.“Thecrown has fallen from our head. Woe to us, for we have sinned!” (Lamentations 5:16).
  3. Lack of Focus. They look at distractions and put their eyes on things of this world instead of on eternity.

What will we do with our crown in heaven? “The twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and worship Him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they were created and have their being” (Revelation 4:10-11). In heaven there will be no boasting, no strutting around like proud peacocks, no displaying of trophies. In heaven we cast our crowns before Jesus because He is the only One worthy. He is the only One deserving of praise. All our rewards will pale in comparison to His magnificence. The more you earn, the more you get to lay at the feet of Jesus.

When I get to heaven, I want to receive a beautiful crown to lay at the feet of Jesus. What about you?

Winning Souls,

Daniel King

P.S. When you give to help us lead people to Jesus, I believe you get a new diamond in your heavenly crown. Thank you for your faithful giving.

Evangelism Podcast Host (00:21):
Jesus said, go into all the world and preach the gospel. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord. Welcome to the evangelism podcast with Dr. Daniel King, where Daniel interviews, full-time evangelists, pastors, missionaries, and normal everyday Christians to discover how they share their faith, their powerful testimonies and amazing stories that will inspire you to reach people with the good news. And now here’s your host, missionary and evangelist Daniel King. Welcome to the evangelism podcast.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (00:59):
I’m Daniel King and I am excited about telling people about Jesus today. I have a special guest with me, Garth Peterson. He’s been a friend for a long time. I think we originally met in the evangelism class. I was teaching at victory college and you were one of the students and you have a great heart for evangelism, Garth. Thank you for being with me today. Absolutely.

Garth Peterson (01:24):
Thank you for inviting me. It’s a privilege.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (01:26):
So what are some of the things that you have done in the area of evangelism? You were agnostic and then you came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. How did that happen in your life?

Garth Peterson (01:42):
I grew up in California and my parents were divorced when we were, when I was five. And so my mom, she kind of has a Buddhist philosophy, religion type thing going on, but we really didn’t have anything. We didn’t believe in anything. You know, Christmas was about Santa’s Easter was about Easter bunny. I didn’t even know till way later in life that that had anything to do with Jesus. And so I just grew up really believing in nothing. You know, I had friends that were Catholic because I hung around with highly Hispanic group of people in California. And but I didn’t really believe. I mean, I knew there was something else, but I had no idea. And when I was 22 years old, my dad had remarried and his wife came and visited us and she shared the gospel with me for the first time in my life and told me about Jesus dying on the cross and being raised from the dead.

Garth Peterson (02:25):
And it, if I would say this prayer, I wouldn’t go to hell, I’d go to heaven. And I remember thinking, what if she’s right? What if that’s real? You know, I had seen little glimpses of things on TV and you know, I’d had a police officer witness to me once. And so I said, what am I got to lose? And I must we’ll cover that base. And I prayed with her and she gave me my first Bible. And I’m so thankful for her doing that. She planted a seed in me, but, and I believe the information in my head somewhat, you know, but it didn’t bring any change to my life. And so life went back to his usual and I was into a lot of bad stuff, dealing drugs and doing drugs. And, and after a few years of my wife and I split and then having some terrible times we got back together, decided to get out of California.

Garth Peterson (03:10):
So we moved here and my dad and the lady that witnessed to me lived here in Oklahoma. And so for we moved here and tried to start a new life and I tried to clean up and be free from drugs and all those things and be a good dad and my kids, which I hadn’t been in the past. And we started going to church and three years we went to church and I bought another Bible and started reading it and got baptized. All those things. You know, it was a country church in a little town. And in 2001, my wife’s friend invited her to an event and it was a heaven’s gate and hell’s flames. And what I didn’t know is that she went to that event and that night she gave her life to Jesus. Well, she had been going to church too, but she’d just been going because I was basically making her go, you know, she was cause I was her husband.

Garth Peterson (03:55):
She was just doing what I did, but that changed her life. And she brought me the next night and the next night I was there I gave my life to Jesus and it radically transformed me. You know, there’s a scripture that got inside of me in Matthew seven, where Jesus said, all these people will come to me and say, Lord Lord. And he’ll say, I never knew you. And that night I had this revelation that I knew about Jesus in my head, but I had never surrendered to him in my heart. And the man that spoke that night at the end of the performance, you know, said, you know, you’ve got to give everything to God. He gave every Jesus, gave everything for you at the cross. And when you come to the cross, you’ve got to give everything to him. You can’t just know about him, you’ve got to know him.

Garth Peterson (04:37):
And in that moment I realized, I just didn’t really know God. I just knew about him. And that night changed my life forever. When that happened, everything in my life changed. I went back to church the next week and I thought, what in the world are we doing here? We come here two times a week and sit in this room and sing songs and listen to preaching. But we’re not doing anything to affect all the people out there. And they’re heading towards hell, just like I was. And they have no desire to come in here. Just like I didn’t. So how do we reach them? And that’s how it began. And which I was considered radical. I mean, I felt so out of place, Daniel, it was like I just couldn’t understand people if we really loved people, like we said, we did, and we really love Jesus.

Garth Peterson (05:24):
Why wouldn’t we do what he said? I mean, we can’t save people. We can at least tell them. And that’s when my journey began. And it was like almost immediate. I mean, after that day, w when, when my heart changed, my life completely changed as high notes, real cause nothing in this world can do that to somebody. And I just began to see the value of people and that were eternal and that we have in eternity that will spend forever. And and, and it’s grown from that time on, you know, I know some people received Jesus and get real excited and run for him. And, and I, I, I did, but I was, it just kinda grew. It never stopped, you know, and I’m thankful for that. And so through that, God has led us from step to step, to step in different areas, you know, and just trying to do what we knew to do to reach people. Yeah. Wow.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (06:13):
That’s tremendous. I think it’s really interesting that, that you got saved at a production of hell’s gate or heaven’s gates, hell’s flames, a live production that graphically presents the choice between heaven and hell, what will happen in eternity. And it’s interesting that you, you got saved that because then I think people often, they want to do ministry in the same type of arena that they got saved. And like people who got saved at a crusade, they often like to go do and preach crusades. Cause that’s how they got saved. Or if someone got saved, because someone knocked on their door and talked to them, then, then that’s what they do. And, and so you took that experience in, and you put together a live theatrical stage production called for, can you tell me what the name for means and what that production was all about? Sure.

Garth Peterson (07:09):
Before I do that though, I’ll just let you know, I had no intention of starting any productions doing any multimedia stuff that is, I’ve never been a movie production stage, any of those things. I mean, I’ve done music in the past, but that was so foreign to me. And I had just because I got saved through a production, I never had the vision to use a production to save others. I just had the, the, the vision to reach people with the gospel. However, that was, and actually the, the vision of that came is a, you know, a few years after I had given my life to Jesus and opportunity came for a youth pastor position. And I, I took it and this little Methodist church, and when I was writing messages or trying to write messages this download, I had, it was originally called the last day or a last day.

Garth Peterson (07:56):
It was just like, I was trying to write messages. And all of a sudden I just wrote this thing that was like seven, eight pages long. And I thought this isn’t a message. You know, what the heck do I do with this thing? And so I tried to turn it into a message and I think I’d probably attempted that a few times with the youth, but it just sat and it didn’t really go anywhere. And then in 2008, I was going to one day a week on Mondays or two days a week, Mondays and Tuesdays to victory Bible college. And this man named Tom Newman came in and spoke at our chapel and he spoke about his salvation, how he came to Christ and about how God had put this thing in his heart from this book, he had read gates of splendor and how he had had that in his heart for years, and then shared it one day at a meeting and a guy named Mr.

Garth Peterson (08:46):
Green heard the vision. And they came together and it produced a movie called the end of the spear. And then he said, these words, he said you can’t trick your heart. You must be a determiner of your heart. He said for you know, problems for 23, you know, for whatever has your heart basically has your life from, you know, guard your heart above all else for out of it comes to issues of life. And then he said this, he said, if God puts something in your heart, it won’t leave you, it will remain. And that means you’re supposed to do something with it in a moment. He said that it was like, boom. And I thought, man, that thing I wrote all that time back because that’s supposed to be a movie or what’s that supposed to be. And that’s how it came. And after I went to that chapel, I went back home and I went looking for it. Cause I had no idea what I had done with it. And I found it and I pick it back up and I started writing it and that turned into four. So the basis of four is four is the parable of the sower brought into modern day times. The story is about five teenagers. Four of whom are the foregrounds, you know, the, the hard ground.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (09:50):
Yeah. It’s the, the parable that Jesus told the parable of the sower about the four different grounds. Correct.

Garth Peterson (09:56):
And so each of these four young people are those four grounds and the fifth one is a witness. And so and her name’s Casey. And so she witnesses she knows they all go to school together. They all live in the same town and sheet note. They all know each other. And so you should get to see their lives in the earth, but then once they step into eternity through an accident, they all die. At the same time they stand before God, she witnesses them standing before God. And what each one of those hearts or grounds looks like as they stand before God. And, and one of them is a, is kind of like I was done, believe anything, thinks God’s, whatever. It’s just a bunch of, you know, nothing. The second one goes to church, but gets persecuted and falls away, you know?

Garth Peterson (10:39):
And the third one is the pastor’s daughter. Who’s the thorny ground who, who acts like she loves Jesus in front of everybody, but really loves the world. And the fifth one is the good ground. And so you get to see what that looks like eternally. And the, the production is a big production. It’s about an hour, hour, 15 minutes long. And it made a great impact everywhere we went, you know, not only for those to coming to Christ, but but for believers because it gave them that view of man one day, I’m going to stand before God, you know,

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (11:08):
You took this production to different churches here in rural Oklahoma, just going anywhere that would have you on it’s a lot of work putting on a production. What are some of the testimonies that came out of that? Did some people get saved? Yeah. Well,

Garth Peterson (11:24):
The thing of it was we didn’t, you know, everything was a learning experience. So the first ones I did or the first ones we did we gave an invitation, but we didn’t like call people forward and we didn’t count numbers or any of that. So I had no idea on the first three performances, how many people gave their lives to Jesus. But we did 11 performances, 12 performances, total 11 plus the first one we did was like our icebreaker just to be able to do it. And there were 120 that we had actually confirmed people that were salvations. Now, there were more than that, but we don’t, you know, I can’t say that because of the only ones I know about, but the thing that, what it was is it, four is a really, you know, everything we do with the gospel is a seed.

Garth Peterson (12:06):
And we really believe in the power of that seed, just like the power of the, you know, the, the parable of the message of the soul or the parable of the sower. You know, Jesus says that’s basically the most powerful parable he tells. He says, if you don’t understand this parable, how will you understand any of the parables? So the gospel is that seed that we plant. And so we don’t get to choose how that produces, you know, that’s, that’s due to the that’s because of the soil of the person’s heart and also the power of God in that message. But we would hear testimonies afterwards, you know, people that went to, came to church and said, you know, I went to that performance and is that real? Are we really going to stand before God like that? And I would hear about other people leading them to Jesus and about how their life changed.

Garth Peterson (12:48):
The last performance we did, there was a girl there and she didn’t come forward, but she was in the youth group. And I guess later on, she came and talked to the pastor and the pastor said that thing radically changed her life. She’s not even the same person anymore. So, you know, we have those confirmed numbers, which is kind of strange that it’s 120, you know, when he, when he kind of mirrored that to acts, you know, there’s 120 in that upper room, but that was the, that was the end result of actual numbers that we, that we recorded. Yeah. You

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (13:17):
Mentioned Tom Newman many years ago, he had toymakers dream, which was a theatrical production that he took all over the United States and around the world. That was a, a great depiction of the gospel in a visual form. And Tom Newman. He always talks about the importance of reaching a sight and sound generation. This generation spends so much time on their phone. So much time watching television. So much communication comes through the videos that they watch on Netflix and on Disney plus, and the church. Sometimes it’s still stuck with just someone standing in a pulpit in preaching. And in order to reach a sight and sound generation, we need more than just words that worked great back in the 18 hundreds. But I think we need to tell stories, communicate stories through film and your theatrical production did such a good job of that, of communicating the gospel in a visual way. And so I think it’s just tremendous. I think more people need to think about doing this kind of thing of, of reaching people through arts, through theater, through telling stories, stories are such an important way of communicating the gospel. Jesus was always telling stories. I think we should tell more stories. I agree.

Garth Peterson (14:49):
And you know, I didn’t know Tom Newman did that toymakers dream or any of that stuff. When I heard him speak, I mean, he may have mentioned it that day when we heard him in chapel, but I didn’t know that till after the fact. And then I went back and looked at that, you know, after we started everything and how he used like music that was culturally relevant. Cause see, that’s the thing about the church. We’re not always culturally irrelevant and you know, we need to change our methods without changing the method. And it’s funny, you should say that about seeing and hearing and believing because that’s the name of our production. Our ministry is see, hear and believe productions. And we got that from Jesus when he said, you know what, their eyes that they would see, what areas that they would hear and what their hearts said would turn and be healed.

Garth Peterson (15:26):
Well, they would believe, and he’s quoting from Isaiah. Right. And that’s actually tied to the parable of the sower. So yeah, Tom’s he was he was innovator in all of that. You know, when I heard that he was using like, when they first started toy makers dream, which was just a little street play and they used pink Floyd and they used all these rock music that the church was probably gasping at, you know, but that was reaching the people that it that the church wasn’t reaching, you know, and it’s like the church that we go to to reach people that no one’s reaching, you got to do things that no one’s doing. And so, yeah, Daniel you’re right on with that. I totally 100% agree with that, that we live in a sight and sound generation more than now, than any day in the history of our world. And we need to use what we have to be a bridge to bring the gospel to people because the gospel is the power of God into salvation. So, you know, the boring thing though about that is not changing the message as we do it, you know, being truthful and be doing it with the right with the right motive, with the right why behind our, what it should be love and everything that we do. Yeah.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (16:30):
I want to congratulate you because you have a brand new book that is hot off the press. And I remember about a year ago, you and I were talking, you shared that you wanted to write a book and you’re asking me some questions about how to do it and how to do the cover and stuff. And, and so I was able to coach you a little bit through that process, but the, the book is just beautiful. You’ve got a beautiful cover. It’s called the war within. Tell me a little bit about this book and, and what people can learn from it.

Garth Peterson (17:01):
Yeah. The book is actually the greatest where we face is not one without, from the outside of us as a believer. It’s the one from the inside of us. We have outside influence, but it’s our inside response and choice to the things that take place that determine the course of our life. And it goes back to what what Mr. Newman said in, in that, that meeting, which is a core scripture for me, Proverbs 4 23, you know, out of, out of your heart, comes your life, you know, guard your heart above all else for your, it determines the course of your life as a new living translation of that verse. And that’s really what the book is about. Whatever has your heart has your life. You know, our war that we go through as a believer is in our mind, but what affects our heart is determines how we live.

Garth Peterson (17:41):
You know, it’s not just what we think, which are what we think is important, because what we think does determine what we do, but it’s really what has our heart has our life. And a lot of this book came out from the production, you know I had I started to ride in inner gain. It started as a message and for preaching somewhere and it just kind of blew up. And I immediately knew that I was supposed to write this book and I thought, God, I’m, I’m not an author. I was terrible. I flunked English in school. I mean, we we’d write a book. I don’t know what, you know, how am I supposed to do this? I have no

Garth Peterson (18:10):
Clue, but I had no clue how to do that, the production or the filming or the stage stuff. And so you know, God gives you a grace to do what he’s called you to do because there’s people on the other side of that. And so the premise is really that, and it really says it here in a subtitle, you know, the battle is fought in the mine, but the war is won or lost in the heart. So that’s the premise of the book. And it’s just to help people help believers, you know, gain victory in our lives as are walking through things. You know, when we went through the production of four, I mean, it was it was a battle. It was it was very difficult and it was, but it was a very good growing time for, for me and for the people that were in it.

Garth Peterson (18:51):
I mean, the kids, we had all teenage staff actors, you know, so you can imagine a group of teenagers trying to keep them together, trying to keep a schedule and train them how to act. And, and they were, they were so anointed. I’m so grateful for God sending those them into our lives, you know, and the people that worked with us at the time who helped train them, it was just the whole thing was a God thing. But it was, it was it was a battle, you know, and anytime you’re going into that place where the enemy has a has a hold in people’s lives and you’re bringing them out of the kingdom of darkness and helping them to come into the kingdom of light, you know, you’re facing opposition. So, but the, but the battle we’re facing is really not against Satan himself.

Garth Peterson (19:37):
You know, people are always saying, oh, the devils done got me. The devil did this to me, you know, and I would hear that all the time. And I think, well, for one, the devil’s just one dude. He’s not like, God, he’s not [inaudible]. He can only be in one place at one time, he has no power or authority over any believer because he’s already been defeated through what Jesus did through his death and resurrection. So we’re living in victory and we’re actually coming from a place of victory. We’re not trying to gain it. We already have it. And so that’s the other premise of the book that we’re coming from victory. And so we need to, we need to know that as we’re walking into those situations, you know, against the forces of darkness, that, you know, our authority, who we are, identity is a core part of the book too, and what we have and what we can do to accomplish the goal and mission that God has for our lives.

Garth Peterson (20:23):
The one that Jesus died for us to, to accomplish here in this world. And it’s I hope it inspires people and I hope it, it also leads people to salvation, you know, like Daniel, anything we do, if just one person, you know, if this book took a year and a half to write, and it was just a big growing experience as well. And I’m so thankful for your help, you’re such a help to me and a inspiration to me, you know, I’ve read several your books probably eight of them. And every one of them has inspired me, you know, and also use those as a blueprint. When I was writing my books, I’ve seen how, how it was laid out or how I could do this or that, you know, so I’m very grateful. But if this book, if it, you know, a year and a half, but if, if one person, I mean, one soul comes into the kingdom as a result of that too. It’s, it’s, it’s worth it, make it, how can you put a value on, on a soul you can, and I’m like, you don’t want to see millions. And I want to see all 8 billion souls in the world come to Jesus and God does too that’s as well. But, you know, we get to do our part, you know, we, we do what we can and he does what we can’t. And so so that hopefully that’s descriptive enough on the premise of the book and that it, it touches

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (21:33):
Well, I love your passion for souls. You have a true evangelistic heart. Even now your, your eyes are tearing up a little bit, just thinking about all the lost souls. Let’s finish with a word of prayer for people in our city and our state or country to be saved. Would you lead us in prayer? Absolutely.

Garth Peterson (21:54):
Father. We just come in the power of agreement in the name of Jesus. And we release faith today, father, for the people in this world, every person that you place such incredible value upon that you came to earth. And did you gave your life on a cross and was raised from the dead father. We pray right now that people would hear that message. We pray for opportunity to be bridges to people in this world, the people around us, not only in this city, but in our country and in the nations of the world. We thank you that there’s nothing impossible with you that is according to our faith. And so Daniel and I, and those that are listening today, we released faith today for the salvation of every man, woman, boy, and girl on the face of this earth, that they would come to know you, to know your love and to know your life living on the inside of them. We pray against those strongholds and principalities and that, that deadly religion that would try to hold people in captivity. And we release faith today for the power of Jesus and the lives of those people, especially those right now that are listening to this podcast. We thank you for what you have done and for what you will do and what you’re going to do. And Jesus, we know you’re coming back soon. And so we’re grateful and we pray this in your name. Jesus. Amen.

Philip Renner (01:13):
I’m so excited to be here. It’s so awesome.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (01:17):
Well, I’m delighted to talk to you because your father has been one of my heroes ever since I was in college at oral Roberts university, your father pastor Rick Renner. I was listening to some tapes in the holy spirit library at ORU. And I heard him teach on some revelation he had from the Greek language. And it really caught my attention because all the preachers that I heard always talking about the Greek language would say, you know, the word dunemas means power and that’s all that they knew, but your father really knew about Greek. And so I found out he was in Tulsa and I called him and, and went over and met with your father. And he gave me so tremendous resources for studying Greek. And of course your, your father has been a missionary in Russia for many years. How old were you when you first went to the former Soviet union?

Philip Renner (02:16):
I was six years old.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (02:18):
And what was that like growing up in Latvia and then Russia?

Philip Renner (02:23):
Well, I think the most interesting moment is that dad really didn’t want to move. And he was trying to find somebody who would say, it’s not God’s will. So we talked to his pastor and he said, the pastor said, oh, that is God’s. Well, that sounds awesome. They need your teaching. And he was trying to find somebody. So he talked to my mom who was having a nightmares at the time that the KGB were chasing her through the night and she would be running down the street and then she would jump into a trash. And then as they would open up the lid of the trashcan that KGB had found her and she would wake up, she was having those kinds of dreams. And she said, oh, that sounds like Godspell. But he was trying to find somebody who would say no. And so he sat us all three down and he said, okay, God is calling us to the former Soviet union.

Philip Renner (03:25):
And it’s very possible that we move over there and you all become orphans. Me and your mom are killed for the gospel. You’ll never go back to America. You can forget about it, who your, who your grandma is and forget about everything because we could be killed. Do you understand? And we’re like, yes, daddy, we understand, we didn’t understand the former Soviet union. I mean, I’m six years old. My, my other brother is turning three and Paul is eight. So Joel is two and Paul is eight and I’m six. And so we don’t know what the former Soviet union is, but he said, what do you think? And I said, dad, well, if if you’re going to do something for the Lord, you know, if we’re going to die, we might as well die for Jesus. And he was like, oh, no, it’s happening.

Philip Renner (04:14):
So we moved. And I remember there was there was nothing I remember. I remember standing in line for food and because there was no food. I remember everything being gray purple or black. So there was no color in anything. A blue shirt would be, you know, non-existent all this stuff. Remember how cold it was, but also remember the miracles when dad started the ministry and he started the TV program and the TV program, it was really funny because it was just like the setting of we’re here right now, except the microphone was in it was in a plant and you would speak into the plant. And those first programs were horrible, but they did the job. And I remember going to the stadium and seeing the miracles and seeing how God was really moving. And then dad started the church and then unraveled. And it’s, you know, 25 years later. And,

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (05:23):
And now your family has had a tremendous impact all over the former Soviet union. And your, your family is very well-known in ministry over there. And you actually grew up loving the Russian people, loving music and participated in a program where they were searching for the next music star. And you won and you are offered a recording contract, but you turned it down. Why did you return it, turned it down.

Philip Renner (05:54):
I turned it down because the Lord told me better and different three words that completely transformed my life. He said later, because you’re not ready for that platform right now. You’re not ready spiritually. You’re not ready. You would break in the Russian show business and better. Cause I’ve got a better plan at different because it’s going to be wild. And it’s not what you imagined. Those three words later, a better and different transformed my life that day. And I said, okay, Lord, which at that time, I really wasn’t on fire for the Lord. If I had signed the contract, I would have basically been saying goodbye to my Christian life and being controlled by the Russian show business and become the next star. But that wasn’t God’s plan. But the amazing thing is he said, I’ll still bring you these people. And so through a course of events that happened, I said no to all of that.

Philip Renner (06:57):
And I actually stopped doing music for about three years because I told the Lord, you know, this is an idol for me. I’m not going back. I’m going to Bible school. I am going to delete music from my life because music is so it’s an idol. And so I’m going to Bible school and I’m going to be focused on you, really rededicate my life. And it’s amazing that the things that you say no to the idols that you say no to when you change your motive, God has a way of resurrecting them back because now you’re ready for it. And it was a couple of years later that I actually started writing music for the MTV artists of, of Russia. And even now I’m writing music and for one of the biggest artists of Russia right now.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (07:49):
And so God opened up the door for you to minister tremendously through music in Russia. What were some of the things that you were able to impart in the area of music to the church in Russia?

Philip Renner (08:07):
Well, I think that something that’s important to establish is in America, you have a new worship song from hundreds of different artists coming out every single week. Well, in Russia at that time, there was nothing. There’s a lot of animalistic stuff that was coming out, but there was nothing that was available as far as worship. Everybody was doing a copy of what Hillsong did or, you know, all the, all the artists in America or abroad, planet shakers all those guys, Chris Tomlin. So they’re just translating everything that they do and then re recording it. And I said, God, I don’t like this. I don’t want to sing under the cover. I want to release the sound of Russia. And I beginning asking him, Lord impart into me the sound of Russia. And we recorded an album and released it. And it went viral pretty much overnight.

Philip Renner (09:11):
And it became the first album in about 15 years that had been released of original worship music. And I had said, Lord, I’m ready to start traveling. But I thought maybe it would be once a week while it turned into nine months out of the year very quickly. And it kind of reminded me, you better be careful how you ask God to use you because he will. And then it’s kind of shocking. Then you say goodbye to your wife for nine months. But that’s the way it happened. And we saw miracles. We saw demons cast out. We saw the supernatural happen. We saw, you know, mosh pit worship where people were just there’s such an expression of joy and freedom. And then, you know, 30 minutes later, they’re all on their knees because the presence of God is so strong and you don’t even want music because you just want silence. You know, that even to play a sound at that moment would maybe even interrupt what God is saying, because God is speaking to the people at that time. And so yeah, it’s been, it’s been powerful and that has released a, a sound and a movement of worship all over Russia. And when I say rush, I mean the 15 republics or nations that surround Russia

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (10:36):
And you really love Russia. You, you grew up speaking Russian, you’re married to a Russian wife. Your kids speak Russian, but just a couple of years ago, God really sent you from Russia back here to America as missionaries, because God wants to do something here in America. Talk me through that process. Why, why did you come back from Russia? You you’ve got tremendous open doors all over Russia, speaking in churches ministering. Why did you come back here to America?

Philip Renner (11:13):
Well, I read God’s generals and as I read God’s generals, I realized that America has been sending out missionaries for the last 200 years, all over the world. And my Russian friends at the time, bishops that have, you know, hundreds of churches underneath them have been saying, Philip, we need you in Russia. If you ever think about going somewhere don’t don’t and especially America, because America is doomed, there’s going to be no revival in America. Nothing is going to happen in America. Stay here in Russia. And I began talking to them and saying, wait a minute, wait a minute. What you are saying does not make sense spiritually. I respect you a Bishop, but how were you saved? And they said, well, an American came over preached to us and it started a movement we got saved. So the Bible says you reap what you sell.

Philip Renner (12:08):
So if America sewed into Russia into the surrounding nations for 200 years, that America is about to reap a harvest that is going to blow, you know, blow our socks off. It’s going to be amazing. And I remember thinking to myself, I want to be a part of that. And the Lord told me, he said, there are two nations in you. And the older will serve the younger. And I knew that the Russian in me, cause I lived there for 25 years would come back that I wouldn’t come back as someone who was trying to look for a better life or, or a different climate to live in, or, you know, running away from Russia because of persecution or there’s no persecution in Russia, but I’m just creating different scenarios of what people think. And that’s what the Lord said to me. He said, the older nation in you will serve the younger.

Philip Renner (13:07):
And so we moved here with our family and the first three years was a little weird because I thought that it would be very well accepted here in America because I’m very well accepted in Russia. And the Lord really took me through some humility, but I really, it had to start from zero all over again. But God really taught me. It’s not, it’s not what you do. It’s who you carry. And he loves you. Not because of the songs that you released, not because of the healings that happened through your ministry, not because of your plans. He loves you just because of who you are. And it was like going through a desert. I came back and it was, it was weird because I still went to Russia all the time. I went to Kazakhstan, I went to Belarus. I went to all these nations surrounding Russia, Ukraine.

Philip Renner (14:01):
I went to all these places, but even people from Russia would say, okay, fellows. So you say, you ha you got a word from God, right? But you’re still just going back to Russia. Why aren’t people in America calling you to minister? And I would say, I don’t know, but I know I have a word from the Lord. And I think it was just a process of dying to myself. But to really minister, you have to die to yourself. You have to die to your dreams. Because when I moved here, I just thought myself, man, it’s just going to be instant. I’m going to be the next big thing. And then God put me through this desert. She, because I’m humble. It was a lot of and breaking on the inside of me. And it’s like God, I don’t care if I’m the next, the next big thing.

Philip Renner (14:56):
I really don’t care about gout going to the biggest church. I don’t really don’t even care if my name is on a flyer or not. I don’t want my name on a flyer. I want your name on the flyer. And I want God to be glorified in the center of cities and shift the atmosphere. And so once that orphan mentality was, it was about the time that COVID hit. And the Lord taught me that there is a sound in America that is very different from Russia, which I came here with the Russian sign thinking, oh, I’m going to cause people to love the Russian sound and teach them that the American sound is not right. But God said, I’ve brought you to Tulsa to teach you the American sound. And I really began to adapt that sound. I hated it when I moved here. I mean, I think this is, this is horrible.

Philip Renner (15:51):
But then the Lord began to, to work in me and change me. So there’s an American sound here and it’s not the Russian sound and you must learn the American sound. And so that was why I moved to Tulsa and I was a pastor or worship pastor here millennial church. And that was where I, I learned the American sound and I’m very grateful for that. And but when I learned that sound that was about when COVID hit. And that’s when the Lord said, it’s time to start your restart your ministry in America. And I said, Lord, this is really weird because all the churches are shut as a traveling evangelist as a minister. I mean, how am I going to preach to people? If all the churches are shut, you’re breaking my whole idea of ministry because my idea of ministry is go to a church preach and get people saved in the church.

Philip Renner (16:53):
But if all the churches are closed, how do you do ministry? And he began to show me Phillip, it’s time to go and shift the atmosphere. And I really didn’t know what that meant, but I remember one night, which it didn’t start from that night actually started from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He said go to Guthrie green. And it was the middle of the day. It was a hundred degrees outside. And he said, go to Guthrie green and begin to shift. The atmosphere, began to prophetically speak and shift what has been said over a downtown. And I didn’t really understand that except that Lamar Boschman it was really become very dear to me said that the prophets in the old Testament, they would go to a place. And if it was a school of profits back then, it wasn’t just a school of profits. It was school of musicians and they had the right and they were taught to either speak over a specific geographic location or to sing over that geographic location.

Philip Renner (18:06):
And they would literally shift the landscape and shift the atmosphere. And so I did it in Guthrie green, and I said, Lord, what will that, what does that look like? And it wasn’t long after that, that I really had an encounter with the Lord. And that was when he said, it’s time for you to pray. You have to go and pray. And I felt like, like I don’t know, like 300 pounds had been dropped on my chest and I could not move until I began to pray and begin praying in the spirit. And it was instant. One second, you’re in the holy of Holies and there you’re crying and you’re crying. You don’t know what’s going on. And it’s just, just an immediate encounter with God. And I said, Lord, what is this? And he’ll say, he said, you don’t know yet, but before you go to bed, you’ll know.

Philip Renner (18:59):
So I went to bed and I opened up my phone and I see the notifications and I see Chicago and fire. And he said to me, I want you to go to Chicago and shift the atmosphere downtown the center of the Chicago, the heart of Chicago, that’s where you’re supposed to go. So me and another evangelist, Brian McKnight, we got together and we did Chicago. It was in the middle of three riots, a daily Plaza, which I didn’t know was right next to city hall. And, and it was amazing because we saw stateness, that would try to cross the street to curse us, but they couldn’t because we had literally taken communion. And when we took communion, it was like a shield of favor that surrounded us. The interesting thing is, is there was nothing physically that could have stopped them to cross the street and curse us nothing, but they would come halfway across the street and then go back halfway across the street and then go back because they couldn’t get past the spiritual bloodline that had been established because we had taken communion and done a, you know, a walk of prayer in and said, we’re going to establish a bloodline around this place, but we could cross the street to preach to them.

Philip Renner (20:20):
And it was amazing. But then there was another group, about 600 people, because I said, this was in between three riots that were supposed to come through us. And and they were surrounded with about 300 different different policemen, all using crowd control to try to stop them from doing what they were doing. And they got within about maybe 50, 60 feet of our event. They just freaked out and they could not pass. They could not pass. And they went the other direction and it was that shield of favor. And the Lord showed me, he said, Philip, when you bring worship to the center of the city, true worship, then, then you bring confusion in the enemy’s camp, which is what happened with Gideon. The shout of the Lord, you know, the breaking of the vessels with fire coming out, which is us. Then the confusion came in the enemy’s camp. And since then we’ve done about 13 cities, including Sacramento, the Capitol. And it’s just been phenomenal to see the healings, to see the shifting of the atmosphere. Something that’s very close to me. As, you know, some places you go and you think there’s going to be thousands, or you think that there’s going to be hundreds, but God didn’t call you to hundreds. God called you maybe to one, you

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (22:00):
Have been shifting the atmosphere in different cities. Talk to me about some of the places that you’ve.

Philip Renner (22:07):
So some places you go to thousands and sometimes you minister to the one, that’s something that’s very close to me. And especially if you’re an evangelist, you know, sometimes it’s like, I want to see the thousands, but sometimes God didn’t call you to thousands. Sometimes he called you to the one and the Lord told me after 10 people were killed in king Sooper in Boulder, Colorado. He said, Phillip, I need you to go. And I need you to shift the atmosphere from that place. And it was about 10, 10 days later we came and it was just, wasn’t a big setup with a ton of musicians. It was just, just one speaker and an acoustic and singing over the atmosphere. And it was really interesting cause I planned one day and then the Lord shifted it to another day. And I, I didn’t even call churches together.

Philip Renner (22:58):
Really. I just called a couple of friends. I think this is really important. I don’t want to make a big deal out of it, but this is important. And as we were playing, there was a young man who came up and he came there to lash his anger towards God because he knew one of the people that was killed in king Sooper that day. And so he came to say, God, why did you do this? Why did you let this happen? Why, why was my friend killed in that supermarket that day? And so he came to basically yell at God. And when he got there, he heard worship and his heart was broken and he said, God, I repent. God, I love you. God you’ve encountered. And sometimes you go after the one. And so that’s something that I hold dear to my heart because because we can’t forget about the one we can’t forget about you know, life being just, oh, we got to do this event. And that event, that event if you’re a true Vangelis, if you’re an evangelist, then you carry what is on you 24 7. And it could happen at a coffee shop or it could happen at a quick trip. You don’t live your life from a big event, but you live your life from a place of God. Use me wherever I am to go after the one.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (24:34):
Let’s talk about the link between worship and evangelism. You go into different places often, right? In the center of a state in front of the, the state house or in front of the, the city courthouse. You get a permit. If you can, if you can’t get a permit, you still go and you begin to worship to sing. And then you also evangelize what is that link between worship and evangelists?

Philip Renner (25:05):
Well, in DC, this is, this is how it worked is the Lord told me, he said, you need to get musicians together to shift the atmosphere. But as people gather, you need to, you need to know how to fish. So worship and the sound, the shifts, the atmosphere is the bait. But then, you know, you got to know how to fish. You gotta bring in the line to catch that fish. And so I believe that when you bring worship to the center of a city, you establish the government of God in that city, which is why it’s so important to go to the stronghold of that city, because you’re saying, okay, I’m reclaiming this place because this place has God’s place, which is something that was very important that you talked about here in Tulsa that I didn’t know about the Guthrie. Green was actually a place where that God broke out a hundred years ago, there was like a Pentecost.

Philip Renner (26:04):
And the first church was established there at Guthrie green. And so that’s an important place for God. And it’s also the center of authority in Tulsa, but you go to that place and you establish the government of God. And so you do this, and then you have evangelists that are around you that are watching who’s, who’s taking out their phones or who’s stopping to listen. And as they’re stopping to listen, you go up to them. You pray for them. You speak to them, you pray for healing. You ask the Lord what are the words of knowledge that could have right now to speak to this person? And you really do what God has called you to do. So that’s how the worship and the evangelism, how they linked together and the prophetic,

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (26:54):
The next city you’re hoping to go to is

Speaker 4 (26:57):
Boulder, Colorado.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (26:59):
And then in the future, God’s given you some, some big ideas. What are some of the things that you think that God wants to do here in America?

Philip Renner (27:09):
Honestly, I’m kind of waiting on the Lord on the next big idea, but there are cities that God says, okay, it’s time to go here. Was a worship school that I want to want to do because we are to equip people. I want to equip people to do this. I mean, I’ve been thinking about what would it look like if I took 10 crazy, crazy worship leaders and, and took him to a bar and said, I want you to lead this worship song in that bar. And then you have a couple of evangelists there that are ready to pray for people, ask people, does anybody need a healing who is dealing with this in their life right now? And just have the presence of God just overpower somebody in that place. Which is something we kind of saw in Tulsa at the gay bar, which was really cool. But yeah. Tell me about that.

Philip Renner (28:07):
It was it was at Guthrie green, which is so, so conniving and evil, that a place where a place where the first church was established, a move of God was established. There’s no church there now, but now there’s a gay bar right across the street. So the enemy wants that place. He doesn’t want a church to be there. He doesn’t want the influence of God to be there. But the Lord just said, go into the gay bar and begin to preach. And I wish I could say that there were miracles and that people got saved, but sometimes it’s not about you know, people getting saved immediately. But I knew it was specifically about the guy who was greeting people because he was a Christian. I believe that he was a pastor’s son and he had been hurt by the church and what God wanted to do because he was being ripped up. He, he, he didn’t know what to think about everything that happened. He said, I got to kick you guys out of here because you can’t pray for people in a gay bar. What are you talking about? You can’t do this. And I said, we have not told one person that they are center. We have not told one person that they’re going to hell. We haven’t told anybody, anything like that. We are just pouring out the love of God, praying for people talking about their identity and their worth in Christ.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (29:31):
I think that’s the right approach. And in Romans it says that the goodness of God draws all men to repentance. And I think people need to see the goodness of God.

Philip Renner (29:40):
Absolutely. Yeah.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (29:41):
The guy’s standing on the street corner with the megaphone shouting. You’re all going to hell is rarely, really very effective.

Philip Renner (29:48):
Yes. you gotta be led by a holy spirit how to preach. And I think it’s a good question to ask people you know, if you were died day, where would you spend eternity? But God will teach you how to say that in a very respectful understanding way. But sometimes you’re not supposed to go there. Sometimes you’re supposed to say how has your mother, I think she’s dealing with cancer right now. And the person is blown away because how could you know that? How could you know that I’m dealing with the issue in my blood vessel right now? How could you know that? And God is God is moving and shifting things. And that’s where the work of the evangelist is so powerful because it’s because there’s signs and there’s wonders. And the Bible says that Peter, that he would walk through a place and even the shadow would heal people.

Philip Renner (30:52):
So that’s what I’m asking. I’m like, Lord, that’s what shifting the atmosphere is. What does that look like? What does it look like to be just so full of God that you walk into a place? And everyone knows in there that it’s not just you, that walked in the place, but God walked into that place with you. And it’s not in his spirit of being judgmental. You’re all going to hell. Maybe sometimes God will tell you to be very strong and speak strongly, but I don’t think it’s all the time. And it’s always going to be with a spirit of understanding with the spirit of love and no condemnation. And so you know, if you were to ask me about three years ago, we want to go to the bar to preach. I would say no. And I, and I think I would have had a very judgemental attitude towards it.

Philip Renner (31:54):
Like, I don’t want to, not necessarily, I don’t want to be with those centers, but oh man, I don’t want to be in that, that evil place. I don’t want that stuff to get on me, you know, but it’s the compassion of God. And I think that if you have a relationship with, with God and you know, we’re talking about Greek words, right? And one of my favorite words in Greek is the word Jesus had compassion on them and not to get crude. But the word compassion is a splash of [inaudible], which means movement of the bowels. And we all know what movement of the bowels is. It causes you to take action. If you need to go to the bathroom, there’s nothing that is going to stop you. You’re going to ignore everyone and you’re going to go to the bathroom. And so it’s,

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (32:48):
It says Jesus was moved with compassion. It moved in the same way you would be moved urgently to go. Yes,

Philip Renner (32:56):
There was something literally on the inside of him that caused him to have pain. It’s like, I got to do, I got to do this. I got to pray for that sick person. I got to preach to this person. And, and that’s what compassion is. Compassion is not pity. Compassion is action. And it’s compassion on, on gay people. It’s compassion on the bars or whatever it be that tells you. And I see the light of God and I didn’t go in there by myself. I found three other guys. And I said, man, let’s do this thing because there’s always someone that is ready to do it with you. And it’s about compassion that causes you to do these things. And I just, I want to pray for people right now, father. I thank you for everyone watching right now, everyone listening right now.

Philip Renner (33:55):
And God I ask you that we would be moved with compassion, that we wouldn’t be able to just sit and watch someone homeless or someone who is sick and say, oh God, I wish you would do something. But God let us be the ones that are moved with compassion to go after the one to even leave the 99 to go after the one to not be just so focused on the next crusade that is going to have thousands of people, but God, to be moved with compassion, to go after the one in our every day life in the name of Jesus father,

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (34:36):

How Do You Use Your Words?

How are you using your words? Are you using your words to attack people or to build God’s kingdom. Words are important because they can be used for either good or for harm.

I am harvest focused. My passion is for souls. But recently, I was attacked on the blog of a self-appointed church watchdog. With his words, the blogger assailed me. He tore my ministry down. He questioned my integrity, my motives, my theology. The worst part of the assault was his misuse of Scripture to beat me up.

He used his words and God’s word as a sharp sword to cut me to pieces. After I finished reading his four thousand-word diatribe, I felt like a flayed fish, cut to pieces and laid out on a sizzling frying pan to cook. I am a big boy, I can handle the criticism, but my story illustrates an important point.

All too often, some people in the church use their words to cut others down, to attack, to injure, to hurt, to curse their brothers and sisters. In a misguided passion for truth, they even use God’s Word as a dangerous weapon to put down other believers.

Turn Your Verbal Swords into Plowshares

The Word of God is like a sword. But it is designed to be used to attack Satan, not your brothers. Christians need to stop stabbing other Christians in the back and use their weapon for its proper purpose.

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Peter took out his sword and cut off the ear of Malchus, the servant of the high priest. Jesus bent down into the dirt, picked the ear up, and miraculously reattached it. All too often, preachers have wounded and maimed people with their insensitive, sword-wielding way of preaching of the word of God. When preachers use their words as swords, they metaphorically cut off the ears of the people they are attacking. With their spiritual ears cut off, these people become unable to hear what the Spirit is saying.

This is what happened to the religious leaders in Jerusalem. Right before he was stoned, Stephen accused them of being stubborn and uncircumcised in both heart and ears (Acts 7:51). The Pharisees and Sadducees had so much political infighting that their spiritual ears were deafened and they failed to recognize the Messiah they were waiting for.

While churches are busy attacking other churches and denominations, there is a world full of people who are going to hell. Dying humanity is crying out for help. Will the church hear their plea?

The prophet Micah prophesized that in the last days nations would beat their swords into plowshares (Micah 4:3). What was once used for war would be turned into a tool for bringing in the harvest. It is time to beat our swords into plowshares. Rather then using God’s word as a weapon for attacking others, we should use our words to encourage others to go after the harvest.

Jesus is coming soon. We need to make every second count for God. I believe the greatest harvest of souls in history will happen in the next few years. More people will be saved in the next decade then were saved in the first two thousand years of church history.

But, in order for this great harvest of souls to take place, we must stop using our words to attack each other. Instead, we must use our words to encourage one another to go after the harvest. Our words can be used either as a weapon of war or as a tool for bringing in a harvest of souls.

How will you use your words?

Six Words To Describe Your Life

If you had to describe your entire life in only six words, what would you say?

There was a trend on the Internet a few years ago, started by SMITH Magazine, for people to write their memoirs in only six words. Here is what I think various Biblical characters and famous Christians would write about their lives if they only had six words to use.

Biblical Characters

Adam: “I lost garden by eating apple.”

Noah: Saved from flood by building ark.

Abraham: Trusted God, Father of many nations.

Moses: I said, “Let my people go!”

Joshua: Marched around Jericho, took Promised Land.

David: I killed giant, became Israel’s king.

Obed-Edom: God blessed me because of faithfulness.

Solomon: Built Temple, married too many wives.

Jonah: “Have you heard my fish tale?”

Esther: “I’m born for such a time.”

Daniel: “I pray lions are not hungry.”

Mary: “Thy will be done unto me.”

Jesus: God’s Son, died for your sins.

Peter the Apostle: Followed Christ, Denied Christ, Preached Christ.

Paul: Persecuted Christians, Encountered Christ, Wrote N.T.

John: The Disciple whom Jesus loved. Revelation.

Thomas: “Doubt no longer, I touched Him.”

Church Historical Figures

Polycarp: “How can I blaspheme my Savior?”

Constantine: Pagan; saw vision, converted Roman Empire.

Jerome: Translated Bible into Latin, became Saint.

Martin Luther: Nailed revelation: Solo Scriptura, Solo Fide

John Calvin: “I was destined to write this.”

George Whitefield: The apostle of the English empire.

Jonathan Edwards: Sinners in hands of angry God.

John Wesley: Fiery preacher who founded Methodist denomination.

Modern day Preachers

Billy Graham: Preached the Gospel, Thousands accepted Christ.

Oral Roberts: Healing ministry, Built university, seed-faith.

Rick Warren: Purpose-Driven Preacher returns church salary.

Bill Hybals: Seeker-Sensitive Church reaches unchurched people.

Ed Young: This memoir should be really creative.

Benny Hinn: “You can be healed!” “Sing choir.”

Marilyn Hickey: Covering the Earth with the Word

Joyce Meyers: Life is hard, you can overcome.

Reinhard Bonnke: “All of Africa shall be saved!”

Joel Osteen: Father Died; “Your Best Life Now”

Joseph Prince: It is by GRACE you’re saved.

David Barton: Founding fathers were Christian, America strayed.

My Life

If I had to summarize my life up until this moment in only six words, this is what it would probably be.

Daniel King: Rescued Millions of Souls from Hell

What would you say about your life if you only had six words?

A Reservation in Hell: A Short Story By Daniel King

A Short Story By Daniel King

It was a boring day at Hell’s check-in desk. Only a teenage drunk driver and a Hindu guru had checked in so far. It was not like yesterday when a suicide bomber and his victims arrived. Then the flames had been roaring and a full contingent of demons had been present to drag everyone to the torture chambers. But, for now, the flames smoldered in the darkness and reflected off the brass, maggot eaten nameplate sitting on the desk. Just barely, the name could be seen. William Zane Bub.

The red-faced, deformed demon looked up from his desk and wiped the sweat from his forehead. What was the annoying sound that was disturbing his rest?

“Ring,” blasted the sharp, piercing noise of the antique telephone sitting next to his elbow. Lethargically, he stretched out his claw and grabbed the handset.

In a tired, rebellious voice, he began to sing the jingle management forced him to recite when answering the phone, “Hell, Hell, Hell, Hello. We’re looking foreword to seeing you below. Hell, hell, hell, hello, where the flames are bright and time goes slow…” He decided not to sing the other ninety-four poorly written verses of the hotel’s theme song.

“What can I do you for,” he coughed, “I mean, what can I do for you?”

“My name is John Smith. I want…”

“My enemies call me Bill,” the demon interrupted, “hold for a second, let me find you in the computer.” Bill tapped on his keyboard only to find that the computer had performed an illegal function and had gone into semi-permanent hyphenation. “Stupid computer demons,” he muttered to himself, “those bugs they programmed into this operating system are purely diabolical.”

Finally, John Smith’s info came flickered into life on the screen. Bill took a moment to look over the profile then he spoke into the telephone, “John, I have you right here, it says you were born July 9, 1978, is that correct?”

“Yes,” said John with relief in his voice. The rock music playing while he was on hold was ear splittingly loud and badly out of tune.

“Right, I have your reservation right here. It looks like you made this reservation the first time you lied to your mom when you were three years old.”

“Uhh…I guess so.”

“We have you scheduled to be in the Mausoleum Suite.”

“I don’t want that room.”

Bill chuckled to himself. Here was an opportunity to use the worst of his puns. “You know, people are dying to get in there. Don’t laugh, this is a grave matter. I’m dead serious. Do you know why funerals are so sad? It because six of your best friends let you down,” He waited for the groans but when only silence ensued, he continued, “but on a lighter note, I could put you in the Crypt Chamber.”

“I’m not coming…” John began to explain.

“Nonsense, of course you’re coming. Everyone comes. As a matter of fact, you’re scheduled to be with us sometime next year. I’m sending Agent Death to pick you up real soon. You’ll be able to recognize him, he’s the one with the big sickle. Ha, ha.”

“You are not listening to me, I do not want to come,” John reiterated forcefully.

“Very common response, but you really have no choice, besides, the worms are ready to eat.”

“I’m not going to eat worms” John exclaimed!

“No, of course not sir, the worms eat you. Ha, ha! By the way, do you like rare, medium, or well done…actually, there’s not really an option. We keep the flames so hot that everyone is well-done.”

John was not getting through to Bill. “I am not coming to Hell Hotel.”

“But, you’ve already paid a high price for this reservation.

“How much?”

Bill tapped away at the keyboard for a moment, “So far, your reservation in hell has cost you your health, your wealth, and according to a note here, for your next installment on your payment plan, it will cost you your marriage.”

“I had no idea it was costing me so much.”

Bill gloated, “Well, sir, we try to give you a foretaste of hell, by giving you a little hell on earth.”

“I want a full refund,” John angrily demanded.

“We don’t give refunds, your investment in this reservation is non-refundable.”

“I want more than a refund, I want a seven-fold return.”

Bill paused for a moment. Where had John heard about that clause? It was hidden in the smallest of the small print at the bottom of the contract. Few knew they could demand a seven-fold return on Hell’s prices. Perhaps it was a fluke, he would be careful. “What are you talking about?”

John took a breath and started to explain, ‘Last week, one of my business associates invited me to go to church with him.”

Bill began to squirm, “You didn’t go, did you?”

“I did go, just to be polite.

‘What happened?”

“The people were friendly, the music was nice, and the sermon was interesting.”

Bill breathed a sigh of relief, it sounded like the hundreds of churches where nothing ever really happened on a typical Sunday.

Then he caught his breath as John continued. “After the sermon, the preacher started talking about sin and salvation. I thought about all the wrong things I’ve done and when he asked if anyone wanted to give their lives to God, I raised my hand.”

Furiously Bill said, “You what?”

“I got saved.”

“What?”

“I’m going to heaven when I die.”

“You can’t…I mean, why…Why are you calling me?”

Bill Z. Bub cringed as he listened to John yell, “Because, I’M CANCELING MY RESERVATION IN HELL!”

What Are You Focused On?

Focus is your most powerful weapon and a lack of focus can be your most dangerous enemy. Focus is either a destiny maker or a destiny breaker. Your focus determines your success. Your lack of focus predetermines your failure.

Your ability to focus is the most important skill you can develop. Without focus, there will be no success in your life.

The definition of focus:

Focus is being single minded.

Focus is removing all unnecessary and unimportant things.

Focus is about being able to concentrate on the real issues.

Focus is about being able to maintain your long-term direction and commitments.

Today God gives you a gift of 86,400 seconds. You either use it or you will lose it.

The average American watches 4 hours of TV each day. If you watch four hours of television every day, you have wasted two full months of your year.

The number of seconds, minutes, and hours in your day are limited. If you spend time doing one activity, you lose the opportunity to do anything else with that time. Once time is spent, you never get it back.

Examples of the Power of Focus:

  1. A light bulb lights a room but a laser using the same light in a focused way can cut through steel.
  2. The blinders on a horse help him stay focused.
  3. If you chase 2 rabbits, you will lose both of them.
  4. If you try to shoot one arrow at two targets, you will miss both.
  5. Keep your eyes on the ball.
  6. A camera that is out of focus does not produce any useable pictures.

How does focus help you?

  1. Focus will help you get everything you want in life.

You can be successful at anything you decide to be focused on.

Your obsession determines who you are, what you do, why you do it.

What you focus on expands in your life.

The greatest decision I made in my life was to be focused on soul winning.

There are ten thousand things I could do, but there is only one thing I can do well. If I try to do ten things, I will do poorly at all of them but if I focus on one thing, I can do it with excellence.

* Your focus determines your mastery. If you spend five minutes a day to study any subject, within five years you will be one of the world’s foremost experts on that subject.

* Your focus determines your energy. Focus creates enthusiasm and excitement.

* Your focus determines the level of your prosperity. Different areas of focus produce different rewards. A person focused on becoming a great lawyer will be rewarded at a different level then someone who is focused on playing video games.

* Your focus determines the miracles that happen in your life. Only focused faith can produce miracles in your life.

* Your focus determines your rewards. Focus has rewards in your life. God wants reward you for your focus.

  1. Focus brings the right things into your life.

Focus brings right people.

Focus brings right ideas.

Focus brings right resources.

  1. Focus keeps the wrong things out of your life. Your ability to focus helps you to weed out the activities that will stop you from completing your assignment.

Broken Focus

The main reason why people fail is because of broken focus.

Lack of focus causes you to compromise your integrity.

Lack of focus causes you to waste your time.

Lack of focus causes you to miss opportunities.

Lack of focus creates insecurity and instability in everything around you.

Example of Broken Focus

            – King David committed adultery with Bathsheba because of broken focus. He was the king. He was supposed to be at war defeating the enemy but he lost focus. He stayed home and was hanging out on the roof of his palace and he saw Bathsheba taking a bath.

            – Samson was always distracted. He was called by God to be a deliverer but he kept chasing Canaanite women. His lack of focus caused his greatest downfall.

The Enemies of Focus

By breaking your focus, the devil can stop your blessings. When Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden they should have been focused on obey God. Instead, they started listening to the voice of the snake. When they lost their focus, they lost their destiny.

Your enemy is anything that breaks your focus. Television, social media, hobbies, sports are all fine if they are used properly, but the moment an activity pulls you away from your primary focus you need to get rid of that activity in your life.

Your enemy is anyone who breaks your focus. Some relationships you don’t need in your life. Some people are time stealers. They ask, “Hey do you have a minute?” and then they take an hour. They have no focus in their lives so they come and distract you from your focus.

How to Feed Your Focus

  1. Know your focus.
  2. Surround yourself with your focus. In my office, I have lots of pictures of crusades on the walls because I want to remind myself of my focus on a regular basis.
  3. Set goals based on your focus. Goals keep you focused.
  4. Spend time every day pursuing your dominate focus.

What Motivates You?

Motivation is “The inner power pushing one toward taking action, driven by desire, passion, and ambition.” Another definition of motivation is “the reason one has for acting or behaving in a particular way” or “the general desire or willingness of someone to do something.”

When you are motivated, you never get discouraged, even when you fail. Winston Churchill said, “Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.”

Motivation has to come from inside your own soul. Stephen R. Covey wrote, “Motivation is a fire from within. If someone else tries to light that fire under you, chances are it will burn very briefly.” Les Brown says, “Wanting something is not enough. You must hunger for it. Your motivation must be absolutely compelling in order to overcome the obstacles that will invariably come your way.”

Motivation is more important than talent or ability. There are many talented people who never amount to anything because they lack motivation. Lou Holtz wrote, “Ability is what you’re capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.”

Motivation is the difference between a rich man and a poor man, a health woman and an overweight woman, a winning team and a losing team. The secret ingredient to success is motivation. Motivation is like food for the brain. You cannot get enough in one sitting. It needs continual and regular top ups.

Jim Rohn says, “Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.” The secret to getting ahead is getting started.

The greatest gift a coach can give his team is motivation. There are no motivated teams led by unmotivated leaders. Giving people the “how” is not enough, you have to give them the “why.” The “why” is what motivates people.

When I am motivated, I wake up early and go to bed late.

When I am motivated, I keep my nose to the grindstone and work hard.

When I am motivated, I accomplish more in a day then I normally do in a week.

When I am motivated, I exercise even when I feel like laying down for a nap.

Motivated people don’t give up.

Motivated people aren’t afraid of hard work.

Motivated people take on challenges.

Motivated people do not wait; they take action.

Motivated people create opportunities.

Motivated people desire to achieve a goal.

Motivated people have a clear direction to achieve that goal.

Motivated people have an optimistic attitude.

Motivation creates energy.

Motivation keeps you going when life is tough.

Motivation attracts others to your dream.

If I could bottle up motivation and sell it, I would be a billionaire.

What motivates me?

Goals motivate me.

Cleanliness motivates me.

Achievement motivates me.

Completion motivates me.

Learning motivates me.

Teaching motivates me.

Financial reward motivates me.

Approval motivates me.

A sense of accomplishment motivates me.

What demotivates me?

Lack of cleanliness demotivates me.

Lack of appreciation demotivates me.

Lack of appropriate compensation demotivates me.

Lack of encouragement demotivates me.

As a Christian, my ultimate motivation is to stand in front of the throne of God and to hear Him say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

Evangelism Podcast Host (00:19):
To Jesus. Jesus said, go into all the world and preach the gospel. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord. And now here’s your host, missionary and evangelist Daniel King. Welcome

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (00:56):
To the evangelism podcast. I’m Daniel King, and I’m excited about leading people to Jesus. Today. I have Dr. Willebrand. He is from the nation of Cameroon and we originally met in Madagascar and I was so impressed with all of the pastors conferences and evangelism that he’s doing in different parts of Africa. Dr. Will thank you so much for joining me today.

Ticha Willibroad (01:23):
I guess I’m watching Dr. King. it’s my pleasure to be with you. Of course. I’m very excited every time with you. Remember how we met in Madagascar and how the Lord also used you mightily. I mean, ever since we’ve been very good friends, I sincerely appreciate it. And thank you for having me on this platform.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (01:40):
So you have a tremendous call from God on your life as any evangelists. Tell me a little bit about your ministry and what God has called you to do. Yeah.

Ticha Willibroad (01:50):
First of all I’ve been seven love for a couple of years right now. I got saved when I was much younger, probably my 13. I was 13 of age or so then the Lord revealed to me he’s called wit for ministry. And of course it was it’s, it’s been tough and challenging, especially coming from a family that our daughter we’re Christian, but we’re not really Christians, you know, and answering the call was quite challenging, but God has been seeing me over the years and I’ve done ministry in different capacities before. But the Lord eventually leads us into what we do right now, which we’ve been doing this now for over 11 years. And so we actually organize leadership conferences in different countries where pastors and leaders come from different churches and to attend our conferences and we focus a lot more on the great commission, how the churches within a nation can reach out to the entire nation, the gospel of Jesus Christ, how they can set structures to ensure that evangelism can be, can be ongoing.

Ticha Willibroad (02:47):
So we go to these different nations where we do these conferences and what, what breaks my heart a lot more times is seeing pastors and bishops, you know, so carried by the word of God. I mean, there were brick and, and I’m in the same pattern and you see what the Lord is doing in those different countries. So that’s the kind of ministry which we do. And we also run this project called operation last, our rescue, the Lord spoke to me some time to train special Yvonne JDC chaplains for hospitals and nursing homes.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (03:18):
And so you have a goal To train evangelists that would minister in hospitals and in nursing homes. Why is it important to reach out to people that are in hospitals and nursing homes

Ticha Willibroad (03:30):
You see over the years I’ve experienced, even while growing up. One of the polices I used to evangelize also a lot daily Wayne hospitals. I realized that whenever I post in the Sikh, he’s more conscious of the wall after, because there was an aspect of the fear of death, even an atheist, someone who doesn’t believe in God when he foresee and he’s in the hospital bed, and he’s not really sure what he’ll be will or whatever. There’s always that question, what happens after this? So I realized that at that point in time, a lot of people, even those who do not want to hear the gospel before become more open, literally I’ve seen Muslims confess Christ on the hospital bed. They will confess Christ, accept the lodges cause and all that stuff, you know? So I think it’s a very sensitive period in their lives and also a very fit type moment where in the gospel can go across. And then I think it’s also very important because you can imagine someone living his life without the Lord and, and on his dying bed, he, he received salvation and change the course of his life for eternity. So I think it’s something which is so important and, and the, you know just like the people across the acts of the Christ, you know, he pushed himself.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (04:40):
So it’s last chance of Angela’s ism right before they go to heaven or hell you give them a chance to heaven or hell to cry out to Jesus for salvation. So how would you go about training in evangelist who wants to go into the hospitals? How would you help that evangelists to become competent at sharing his faith in the hospital?

Ticha Willibroad (05:02):
Yeah. Okay. First of all, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we send our teams to these different countries and we first do, first of all, a vision casting meeting for them to understand why this is so important. Why should we go to hospitals? Why should we go to nursing homes? They have the festival understand that now once the guests understand that, and the fact that it is an opportunity to be the, to be the bridge, through which someone can, can pass through and get into eternity with Christ, you know, it becomes very much more exciting. Then we, we, we, we, we already have the training program. Well-Structured how to be able to reach out to an individual in a hospital environment. It it’s totally different from evangelize on the streets. It’s totally different from preaching in churches. It’s a very sensitive environment and there are certain guidelines and principles that it need to be able to observe.

Ticha Willibroad (05:52):
So we, we, we take them through these training programs about 3d streaming product intensive training, where we educate them as to how to go about it, the hospital environment, the kind of ethics, you know, how to collaborative with hospital staff and how to Rick, because these sick people, oftentimes like we reached out to you, you don’t have that luxury of time to talk to them. Like you could have one hour to talk to them in church. It could just be five minutes, could be 10 minutes. It all depends. But now we teach them strategies on how to be with a sick present for five minutes. And the sick person feels like he has been with them for an hour. So we have all those strategies and how to be able to approach them and all that stuff. So once we train these evangelists, we licensed them to be able to go into hospitals. And in those different countries, we, we, we, we we’ve established structures wearing it structures that helps to get whoever has been trained into hospitals to minister the gospel. Yeah.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (06:51):
So you’re originally from the nation of Cameroon, but you’ve worked in many different countries in Africa. What, what are some of the countries that you’ve worked in?

Ticha Willibroad (07:01):
I’ve worked in a few countries in Africa for Nigeria toggle Republic of Benin, Ghana Ethiopia, Tanzania, Rwanda, seashells, militias, Madagascar, South Africa, Zimbabwe Liberia. It could run Guinea Gabon of course, Cameroon as well.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (07:31):
You’ve been to more countries than Africa than I have. And I’ve been to quite a few what as an, as an African who’s called by God, what do you see that God wants to do in the continent of Africa?

Ticha Willibroad (07:47):
I, I strongly believe that there is a mighty revival going on. And the, one of the things that also characterize people from Africa or pre-test in Africa is because you see based on, is it Africans and not, you know, a lot of them are not overly exposed to, to some of the privileges, for example, financially, for example, that in our American preachers or whatever the Westerners may be exposed to. So, and because of that, it pushes them to pray a whole lot so that there was this tearing in, in our, our, this revival in Africa where people are coming to a police, they realize that if they’re going to make it, it has to be to the power of God. So you would see Africans will go into, into all kinds of Prius. People would lock themselves up for and believing because they’re not, if the hand of God doesn’t manifest upon their lives, they’re not gonna succeed.

Ticha Willibroad (08:39):
So I think that there was a mitral valve in Africa. God is raising men and women addicted to the word of God who are addicted to prayer and fasting that the know that is the only way out. And, and, and so, and because of that, there was a whole lot of revival on, in different, in different countries. I mean, you saw what happened with you in, in, in Tanzania with crowds of thousands gathering, you know I think that there was a mighty river going on and I see go to quite whole little things in Africa. Yeah.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (09:10):
Now you have your, your doctorate and you’ve written quite a few different books, and many of them are available on amazon.com. Could you share with me the names of some of the books that you’ve written and what they’re about and in the podcast, I’ll put a link to the books. If someone wants to buy a book off of Amazon. Oh, thank

Ticha Willibroad (09:33):
You. Yeah. I’ve written a few books. Most of my books have not been published yet. I’ve written close to 30 books and most haven’t been published. But I have a few of them already on Amazon. We have reclaiming yourself from emotional trauma. Now these are for people who’ve gone through tough times when it come, when it has to do with the relationship, but it feels like they can love again. They feel like, can I really find someone I can trust? Can my life become better? Again, now a book like that, the one that’s going to help them a whole lot to come out of those emotional crisis and to be able to look at life

Ticha Willibroad (10:07):
Mountains, point of view, and not to allow that stigma of the religion of the past to be the whole of them them it’s called the reclaiming yourself from emotional trauma. And, and also we have cultivating the spirit of leadership and the, the, the goal, actually that book is to be able to help those brewing minister, those who want to sell a moat. And it helps them to be able to identify their calling and to be able to pursue, you know, grow in leadership and stuff like that. It helps them to even as a black from his own foundation, with regards to what leadership is all about and how to go on with that, which the Lord has called them to do. I think it’s very important for every leader and everyone desiring to lead in any capacity, whether it’s in ministry or it’s in business or whatever.

Ticha Willibroad (10:58):
I think it’s a very good book on that. We also have the book on recovering. You are 19. Now there are people actually who have been passionate for God or the desire to go hybrid God, but don’t even just know how to go about it. They, they can sense that God is calling them into a deeper walk, into the higher walk. And so I had experienced, but they don’t know how to harness himself towards that. Now the book recovering you’re 19, it’s going to be a very good piece. It helps a person really trace where the mystic retraced themselves, especially those who have been once passionate for God or once acting or hot for God. And somehow they’re now becoming look warm, but they don’t, they don’t like your presence. They don’t want to go back to the place of glory, but they don’t know how to go about that. That book is very dynamic in that it’s going to help them. It begins by creating the hunger. It creates that desperation for God. It brings them to a place where this apple school becomes what they don’t want to be. They don’t want to be a pathway. They want to go with God too, you know, and stop like that. And, and, and it helps to, to create that passion, that Honda for God. And it shows them the practical steps, what it takes to get back to that place of glory. You know? So I think the book recovery anointing is going to be a good piece. That’s wonderful.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (12:27):
