Main Idea: If you make Jesus your Lord, you receive all the benefits of heaven.
Key Verse: “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us” (2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV).
Illustration: Once there was a rich man who owned many paintings. The majority of his paintings were very valuable but his favorite painting was a simple painting of his son who had died in an accident. One day, the rich man died. Since he did not have any heirs, he gave a direction in his will to hold an auction for his collection of paintings. Many buyers came because they wanted to purchase his beautiful paintings.
The first painting put up for auction was the painting of the man’s son. No one wanted it because it was not done by a famous artist. Finally, one man said, “I like the smile on the boy’s face, I will buy the painting.” He bid five dollars and won the painting with his small bid. The hammer of the auctioneer slammed down and the auctioneer shouted, “SOLD.” To everyone’s surprise, the auctioneer announced the auction was over. The rich man said in his will, “Whoever is willing to choose the painting of my son can have everything.”
The moral of the story is that whoever chooses the Son will receive all the blessings of the Father. If you choose Jesus tonight, you will receive all the blessings of God the Father.
