Main Idea: The only people who wil enter heaven are those whose names are written in the Book of Life.
Key Verse:“I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books…And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:12,15 NKJV).
Illustration: Someday in heaven every person who has ever lived will gather together in front of the throne of God. Standing in that crowd will be Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Peter, James, and John, every king who has ever lived, all the presidents of the United States. Also standing there will be Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini. Standing there will the members of the Beatles, Michael Jackson, and Lady Gaga. Every great person will be standing there and every average person will also be standing there. One more person who will stand there is YOU. The Lamb’s Book of Life will be opened. Every person whose name is written in the Book of Life will spend eternity in heaven. Every person whose name is not in that book will go to hell. So, is your name written in the Book of Life?
