Do Not Ask the Dead for Help

Main Idea: You do not ask the dead for instructions on which way to go. Instead you ask someone who is living.

Key Verse: “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6 NKJV).

Illustration: Imagine you come to a cross road and you want to know which direction to go. At the cross road there are two people. One person is dead but the other person is living. Which one will you ask for direction? If you want to know which way to go, you will ask the person who is alive.

If you want to go to heaven, do not ask someone who is dead.

Buddha is dead.

The prophet Mohammad is dead.

Confucius is dead.

Joseph Smith is dead.

L. Ron Hubbard is dead.

But Jesus is alive.

Jesus is the only religious teacher who came back to life. He knows the way to heaven because He has been to heaven and come back to show us the way.
