Main Idea: When you are covered in the blood of Jesus, you will be saved from the devil.
Verse: “The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:9).
Story: Once there was a school that was attacked by a gunman. He shot into a classroom and the bullet hit a boy and killed him. Next to the boy there was a girl. Suddenly the phone in the boys pocket started to ring. The girl heard the gunman coming back towards the room.
There was nowhere to hide. The girl put her hand in the puddle of blood beside her friend. She rubbed the blood all over her face and body. She ripped her clothes and covered them in blood. Then she laid her head on the floor next to her friend and held absolutely still.
When the gunman saw the blood, he passed by.
The girl was interviewed. She said, “I wish I could say thank you to my friend because today his blood saved my life.”
In the same way, the blood of Jesus saves our lives. When you cover yourself in the blood of Jesus, the devil will pass you by.
