Evangelist Daniel King (00:00):
Welcome to the Evangelism podcast. I’m Daniel K. I’m excited about telling people about Jesus. Today I have a very special guest with me, Ms. Cindy Jacobs. Thank you for being on the evangelism podcast.
Cindy Jacobs (00:13):
Great to be here.
Evangelist Daniel King (00:13):
Now we are in Lima, Peru. We’re getting ready for an Empower 21 conference here and leaders from across Latin America are coming together. And since I was scheduled to be in Lima for the Empower 21 conference, I didn’t want to come and not preach. And so I called some friends and they organized a crusade and we found out that you came down early and so now you are going to come and pray and prophesy over the people of Lima. And it’s such a delight to have you here. Thank
Cindy Jacobs (00:53):
You for being here. Well, thank you. Thank you so much. Peru is in a very pivotal time right now. Politically I think in the last how many years they’ve had, is it eight presidents or something? And so it’s very volatile. It’s the best time to preach Jesus.
Evangelist Daniel King (01:12):
I’ve been waiting a long time to interview you for the evangelism podcast because we’ve seen each other at different conferences and different parts of the world, but you’re always with your husband and you guys are so cute together, but I’ve never had a chance to … A quiet opportunity to interview you. So I really wanted to talk to you about the intersection between the prophetic and the evangelistic anointing. What can you tell us about how God uses the prophets and the evangelists together?
Cindy Jacobs (01:48):
You know, that is a great question because what I teach people when they are winning people to the Lord is prophesy to the wildernes in their soul. In other words, I can sit with someone, a complete stranger and God give me such a clear word that I lead them to the Lord in just a few minutes because they know God is there.
Evangelist Daniel King (02:16):
And how does God use prophets in the area of evangelism? Because we’ve been to a lot of different countries and lots of people telling, “Oh, Cindy Jacobs prophesied over this nation and we’ve seen God move in such a tremendous way.” And often I think it’s really interesting, like there’s a prophecy that the prophets come and give, and then God sends the evangelists to start to implement some of what God’s revealed to the prophets.
Cindy Jacobs (02:49):
Yeah, to harvest. For instance, this afternoon I gave a prophecy of a Peru that is not widely known yet. There’s going to be a revival in the military here. I saw that happen in the Philippines, various nations we’ve been in, that the word of the Lord went forward and then God was announcing that there was an openness that was going to happen and then he send laborers people into that field.
Evangelist Daniel King (03:16):
I was just in Thailand a couple of weeks ago. We just finished up a big Empowered 21 outreach in Thailand where we did through the Global Evangelist Alliance, we did like 25 different crusades and participating in evangelism and several pastors told me that some of what they saw happen that you had prophesied many years ago over that part of the world.
Cindy Jacobs (03:44):
Yes. I think what happens is sometimes God will give a word and then he’s just waiting for somebody to believe it. He’s announced his attentions and then people start soaking it in prayer and then the Lord sends someone like you or Mateas Vanderstein or Daniel Clinton or you guys that are so good at this. And then you go and you just harvest that. And I think God is announcing his intentions over many nations right now. So there’s a nexus really between the prophetic word and the evangelist.
Evangelist Daniel King (04:26):
What is God saying prophetically about the end time harvest of souls? I think when you look around at everything that’s happening in the world, Jesus is coming soon. I think everyone has this feeling
Cindy Jacobs (04:40):
And
Evangelist Daniel King (04:40):
Dr. Billy Wilson from Oral Roberts University, he started this initiative called 2033 to take the gospel to every single person on earth before 2033 through the power of the Holy Spirit and that the church could reach every single person on earth. And I think this is something that the Lord is speaking to the whole body of Christ because now a bunch of different organizations have jumped in and they’re a part of it. And I think that the greatest harvest of souls in history could happen in just the next few years. What is the Lord speaking prophetically about God’s heart for people to be saved during this time?
Cindy Jacobs (05:28):
Yeah. Well, absolutely. I believe I talk about they were in the end time revival of the harvest of souls. One thing I know is like we’re really involved in getting people to pray for the unreached people groups, maybe about 5,000 unreached and intercession ripens the harvest. And so the more people that pray, the more the acceleration will be. My friend Dick Eastman used to talk about praying back the King, that he always wanted Dick wanted to get people to intercede because then people would be open to the gospel. The Lord of the Harvest will send people into that field, but somewhere there’s a pray in somebody. There’s somebody on their knees.
Evangelist Daniel King (06:19):
Yeah. And you’ve mobilized intercessors all over the world
Cindy Jacobs (06:22):
And
Evangelist Daniel King (06:22):
That’s a major focus of your ministry. I really like what Reinhard Bonke said about prayer. He said that prayer is like one leg and evangelism is like the other leg. And if all you’re doing is praying, you’re hopping on one leg, but if all you’re doing is evangelism, you’re hopping on one leg. But when you put prayer and evangelism together, then you can go really far with them.
Cindy Jacobs (06:51):
Yeah, absolutely. So you
Evangelist Daniel King (06:52):
And I got to partner up. We got to work
Cindy Jacobs (06:53):
Together.
Evangelist Daniel King (06:54):
Well,
Cindy Jacobs (06:55):
We have an initiative like the nation initiative and right now we’ve adopted 38 nations in the greater Middle East and the unreached people groups in those nations and encouraging people to pray because many of these places, even it’s death for an evangelist to go in there. There’s these red zones such as Olivia, Algeria and so forth. But we have seen the most startling answers I’m sure you’ve heard too of supernatural encounters when we pray, but somebody’s got to pray. I mean, we were just in Nigeria, they’re killing thousands of Christians there. The Fulonies are killing them. Well, they’re lost. They’re lost. They need Jesus. The Houthis in Yemen, why are they killing people? They’re lost.
Evangelist Daniel King (07:48):
Recently
Cindy Jacobs (07:48):
I
Evangelist Daniel King (07:49):
Was with a Fulani man
Cindy Jacobs (07:51):
Who
Evangelist Daniel King (07:52):
He became a believer and he still dresses as a Fulani man
Cindy Jacobs (07:58):
And
Evangelist Daniel King (07:59):
They say the Fulanis, to be Fulani is to be Muslim. And they say, he says, “But I’m Fulani and I love
Cindy Jacobs (08:06):
Jesus. I’m a
Evangelist Daniel King (08:07):
Follower of Jesus
Cindy Jacobs (08:08):
And I’m a
Evangelist Daniel King (08:09):
Christian.”
Cindy Jacobs (08:09):
And they
Evangelist Daniel King (08:10):
Can’t believe it, but he has suffered so much persecution. He’s been macheted by
Cindy Jacobs (08:16):
His own
Evangelist Daniel King (08:17):
Father and his life is threatened,
Cindy Jacobs (08:21):
But
Evangelist Daniel King (08:21):
He has a great heart for the Fulani people
Cindy Jacobs (08:24):
Across the
Evangelist Daniel King (08:24):
Entire region of kind of middle to northern Africa.
Cindy Jacobs (08:28):
Right, right. Yeah. Well, the thing is most people don’t have a heart to pray for the unreached. In our churches we don’t talk about that. We don’t talk about are you praying for the lost? Are you praying for harvest? And those that maybe are, they’re kind of siloed. They have a small slice of something that they might want to pray about. So our mission is to pray to the Lord of the harvest for all these people who’ve never heard. I mean, imagine two million people, zero Christians, that’s just wrong. I say, maybe you’ve heard me say, “I’m almost 75. I’m going to stop taking water to the ocean. I’m going to take it to the desert. I’m going to go where they really need Jesus.” And I know you do that
Evangelist Daniel King (09:21):
Too. Amen. What do you say to those in the body of Christ that sometimes are critical of the prophetic gift and say that apostles and prophets are not for today. What do you say to those Christs?
Cindy Jacobs (09:38):
Maybe they’ve never had a real prophetic word because
Evangelist Daniel King (09:43):
I had a prophetic word. When I was five years old, my father pastored a small church in Cloudcroft, New Mexico and he invited a prophetess to come and God woke her up the night before and said, “Tomorrow there will be someone wearing a blue shirt and you are to prophesy. He’s called to be an evangelist and go to nations all over the world.” So she
Cindy Jacobs (10:03):
Came,
Evangelist Daniel King (10:04):
None of the adults had a blue shirt on, but there was a cute little five year old boy wearing a blue shirt and that was me. And so she prophesied over me. You’re called to be an evangelist and go to the nations around the world. So when I was five, I had that prophetic word and now I’ve been walking in that for the rest of my life. I’m still learning how to be a good
Cindy Jacobs (10:25):
Evangelist. And you remember that word?
Evangelist Daniel King (10:27):
Yeah. My parents told me about it many times over the years. I actually started preaching at the age of six
Cindy Jacobs (10:35):
And then my
Evangelist Daniel King (10:36):
Parents became missionaries in Mexico when I was 10 years old.
(10:40):
Grew up just working in evangelism, but my heroes were always people like Oral Roberts and T.L. Osborne and Billy Graham. And so that prophetic word in my life, it has come to pass.
Cindy Jacobs (10:53):
That’s so amazing. Yeah. I think that people who think this isn’t real. I mean, I remember prophesying a very, very influential Middle Eastern leader who did not believe in the prophetic at all. And so I started praying over him and I said, “Now you’re going to leave here and you’re going to go to New York. This is what you’re going to do. ” And then I started naming the cities in the United States and this was Middle Eastern. He was leaving to go to New York to do what that word was and going to … God prophesied his whole itinerary and you know what? He became a believer in prophecy.
Evangelist Daniel King (11:38):
Yeah. When you
Cindy Jacobs (11:38):
Experience
Evangelist Daniel King (11:39):
It
Cindy Jacobs (11:39):
In your life. Yeah, that’s why I said they never really had a prophetic word themselves.
Evangelist Daniel King (11:45):
All right. Well, let’s finish with this. A lot of evangelists watch and listen to the evangelism podcast. Could you speak prophetically to the evangelists and to the evangelistic gift and what God is saying
Cindy Jacobs (12:01):
For the evangelist? Sure, sure. This is your hour. This is the greatest hour to be an evangelist. I even see some young evangelists in your heart, you are just burning, burning for souls and God wouldn’t give you that burn in your heart and not give you an opportunity to use that gift. I just want to encourage you and I want to pray for you that the Holy Spirit will open those doors for you and give you the souls that your heart longs for.
Evangelist Daniel King (12:32):
Amen. Well, thank you, Ms. Cindy, for being here. Thank you for speaking tonight, speaking at the crusade tomorrow and for your heart for Jesus. It’s beautiful.
Cindy Jacobs (12:45):
It’s great being with you.
Evangelist Daniel King (12:46):
God bless you.
