Vietnam is a land of breathtaking beauty. Recently, I stood in awe of the emerald waters of Ha Long Bay, climbed the heights of Lying Dragon Mountain in Ninh Binh, and walked through the bustling, motorbike-filled streets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. I visited the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh and toured Hỏa Lò Prison, known during the Vietnam War as the “Hanoi Hilton,” where Senator John McCain was once held.
The history of Vietnam is sobering, yet in the midst of it, I witnessed something powerful: God is at work. I was invited to speak at a church in Hanoi, where I preached on evangelism. The presence of God moved in a beautiful way, hearts were stirred, and believers were encouraged to reach their nation for Christ.
Though Vietnam is governed as a communist nation, and Christian believers often navigate real restrictions and challenges, the Gospel is not bound. Across the country, faithful Christians gather in homes, pray with boldness, and share the hope of Jesus with courage and wisdom. Even in places where faith must be expressed carefully, God is moving powerfully, softening hearts, strengthening the church, and drawing many to Himself. The light of Christ shines brightly in Vietnam…
Please pray that God would continue to pour out His Spirit in Vietnam and open up even greater opportunities for future ministry in this remarkable nation.
