Main Idea: You cannot get to heaven through your own efforts.
Illustration: Imagine traveling through the jungle. It takes days to hack a pathway through the overgrowth with a machete. Every step is torture because you have to fight vines, trees, overgrowth, snakes, insects, and alligators.
Now imagine there is a four-lane paved superhighway that goes through the jungle. Cars are zipping along the road at eighty miles per hour. The distance that takes six weeks to chop through the jungle is passed by a car in a few seconds. Trying to get to heaven through your own efforts is like chopping a pathway through the jungle. You will never make it.
But the fast superhighway is like Jesus. He takes you straight to heaven with no strain and no stress. Jesus is the way to heaven.
