Sharing the Gospel with Gen Alpha

Generation Alpha generally refers to those born from about 2010 to 2025, the first generation raised entirely in a world of smartphones, short-form video, AI, and constant digital stimulation. They are growing up on YouTube Shorts, TikTok-style content, gaming platforms, and fast-paced memes, with attention spans shaped by algorithms and humor built around ever-changing catchphrases.

One of the unique challenges of communicating with Gen Alpha is that traditional preaching styles can feel slow or disconnected from their daily reality. Their language evolves rapidly, irony is their native tone, and authenticity matters more than polish. When I preach to Buddhists or Hindus, I research their culture so I can communicate the Gospel in a way they understand. In the same way, I recently researched Gen Alpha slang and catchphrases to create videos that present the Gospel in their language.

My thirteen-year-old daughter rolls her eyes when she hears these videos but at least I am trying to bridge the gap. What do you think of my attempt?
