Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (00:00):
Welcome to the Evangelism Podcast. I’m Daniel King. I’m excited about telling people about Jesus. And today I have a very special guest with me. Victoria Osborne. Thank you for being on the Evangelism Podcast.

Victoria Osborne (00:12):
I’m so excited to be here. Thank you for asking me.

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (00:14):
Now we are here together in the nation of Thailand, and you have brought a group here

(00:22):
The next Gen Ministry of Empowered 21. So we have just completed a really amazing outreach in the city of PAO at the University of Pao, and it was really amazing.

(00:37):
Give us a brief recap. What did you see God do there?

Victoria Osborne (00:40):
Yeah, in Payao, it was really incredible because we were on a university campus and the university students that came our crowd was 86% non-Christian, which I mean as an evangelist, that’s such a beautiful opportunity to have such a large crowd not know Christ and get to share the gospel with them. Probably for the first time, many heard it for the first time and we had this really incredible night market set up for the students and some great gospel artists and some artists and musicians that came to help share about Jesus and their dance and in their music. And then we got to preach clear gospel messages to them and it was really beautiful to get to see so many respond to the message of Jesus Christ.

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (01:25):
And so you got to preach, and it was really interesting because the students are a little shy.

(01:32):
All wanted to sit at the back

(01:34):
It was really tough to get them to come forward to the front area. But there were hundreds and even thousands, probably about 3000 students.

(01:44):
Many of them are far back there. So what was it like to try to preach to Buddhist students that are saying way back in the dark, you can’t even see ’em?

Victoria Osborne (01:53):
I know it was quite interesting because the whole front section, nobody would sit there. And so you’re preaching and all you can see is all these empty seats, but then way in the back there’s thousands of students that are sitting and listening to your message. And so you really do have to lock eyes with them way in the back and just know they’re hearing and they’re receiving. And then the moment where you get to give an opportunity for them to respond, that’s where you’re like, okay, did they actually receive what I was saying? Were they listening? Could they hear? But then seeing them stand up even way in the back and respond to the gospel was so beautiful to me.

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (02:32):
Now you and I first met at the Christ for All Nations Evangelism Bootcamp we did led by Daniel Kalinda, the Ministry of Reinhard Bonky. And I was one of the instructors for the course. And you were one of the students. I had the privilege of teaching you and many of the other students. And so what were some of the things you learned

Victoria Osborne (02:54):
From

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (02:54):
The Evangelism Bootcamp that have helped you in ministry now?

Victoria Osborne (02:57):
Yeah, I learned so much the Evangelism Bootcamp about how to share a clear gospel message, how to give an altar call, how to preach to a crusade, how to preach one-on-one. I don’t think I ever told you this about your teaching specifically, though you did healing one of the days and my knee got healed in your session trying to teach us on how to pray for the sick.

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (03:18):
Praise the Lord. It’s amazing. Jesus even heals people when you’re teaching people how to flow in healing.

Victoria Osborne (03:24):
Yeah, because COVID had just started and so everything was kind of shut down and I had started running a lot and I had hurt my knee running. I tore my hamstring behind my knee and I could barely walk. It was so painful. And during your session, my knee got totally healed and I left your session and I went and ran three miles.

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (03:40):
Wow, isn’t that

Victoria Osborne (03:41):
Cool?

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (03:41):
That’s a great testimony. Praise the Lord.

Victoria Osborne (03:43):
Yeah, I totally forgot about that. But I mean there’s so much how to pray for the sick and that’s really been used as a catalyst in my life onto the mission field to get to do what I’m doing. Now,

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (03:53):
Let’s talk about how this tour came about. You and I were together at an Empowered 21 meeting. It might’ve been here in Thailand last February. We had a big meeting for pastors and you were talking about wanting to bring next gen leaders here

Victoria Osborne (04:13):
To

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (04:13):
Minister.

Victoria Osborne (04:15):
And

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (04:15):
So you kind of volunteered, stepped up to be a part of that.

Victoria Osborne (04:19):
And

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (04:19):
Now you’ve done, this is now your second time traveling around Thailand. And so talk to me a little bit about the importance of giving NextGen an opportunity to minister.

Victoria Osborne (04:33):
When I was looking at the nation of Thailand, which is only 1% Christian, and looking at all the young people, I had looked into some statistics and 80% of Christians worldwide will give their life to Jesus before age 18. And so that really stuck with me. And I just had this function that if we can actually reach the next generation in Thailand now we can change the statistics of this nation through them. And I really feel like they’re a real key to what God’s wanting to do in these Asian countries that so far have not been super open to the gospel. And so when I saw that in Power 21 was coming to Thailand and this unreached people group had an opportunity to raise up the next generation, not just share the gospel with them, but really see them discipled and to be the ones that are then carrying the gospel in their schools and in their workplaces and in their universities, I just felt like we couldn’t miss this opportunity.

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (05:32):
And so on this tour, we’re doing three youth unlimited events. And so we had one and then we have two more that are still coming. And you brought a team of three girls from Mexico, another young man from Tennessee. I brought one of my interns from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jace Guston. And then we also have a band that came from Malaysia.

(05:57):
We have a group called his pop that comes from Korea and from Thailand and then some other groups, some other musicians from Thailand and from other places. And so it’s really an international gathering of artists. And we’re working with my friend Mano, and he does international gospel music festivals, IGMF. And he’s been doing this in different parts of Thailand. And it’s really interesting ministering here in Thailand because since there’s so few Christians, you have to find a way to get Buddhist people to come and hear the gospel. If you just announced that you’re doing a big Christian event, they have no reason to come because they’re not Christian. And so somehow you have to get them because you don’t want to preach only to the Christians. You want to preach the gospel to people who need the gospel. And so kind of the tactic that seems to work here is to use music as a way of attracting people. And then we had food and music and bouncy houses and dance and lights and sound. And of course young people are attracted to that.

(07:12):
But then to have the opportunity to present a clear gospel message to them and some respond. The night that you preached, I think there were a total of about 32 people that came forward now hundreds raised their hands.

Victoria Osborne (07:29):
Yeah, that’s one thing that’s really interesting about the Thai culture too, is getting them, they’ll raise their hands to respond, but trying to get them to come forward in this culture is not very easy

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (07:40):
Because it’s a big step. Their families are Buddhist. And to even say that you’re interested maybe in becoming a Christian requires a great step of faith. But little bit by little bit, the kingdom of God is growing here. And what’s really neat is that the churches of Thailand right now, as you mentioned, one or 2% is Christian, but the churches of Thailand, they have a vision that 10% of Thailand would become Christian.

(08:11):
Amazing. And they call it Thailand, ten, ten, ten.

Victoria Osborne (08:15):
1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1.

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (08:16):
Yeah. Thailand 1, 1, 1. And their goal is that over the next decade that they would see 10% of the nation come to Christ, which I think is amazing faith like God has given the churches of Thailand great faith to believe God for something that is really an amazing ask. Right now, one or 2%, and to go from the percentage of Christians now to 10%, this is a nation of 70 million people that would represent 7 million people coming to Jesus.

Victoria Osborne (08:53):
Which would be incredible.

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (08:54):
It would be incredible. Alright, let’s talk a little bit about your ministry. The name of your ministry is Breathe Life.

Victoria Osborne (09:03):
Yes.

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (09:03):
And so there’s a story behind that. Tell me about it.

Victoria Osborne (09:06):
There is, yes. So I actually used to be a nurse, and when I was working as a nurse, I had gone to the Dominican Republic to start a hospital ministry. And I was there for three months. And at the end of the three months, I was in the hospital one day where I just heard all this commotion going on outside and I was like, I should probably go see what’s going on. And I walked out there and this nurse just comes running around the corner and I looked down and her hands and she’s carrying a dead lifeless baby girl. And so I look at the baby and I tell her, lay her down, let me listen for a heartbeat. And I start listening for a heartbeat. There’s no heartbeat. I’m like, let me just listen one more time. I go to listen again, there’s no heartbeat.

(09:42):
And I go to move her neck back to open her airway and it’s all stiff, which Ray Morgan starts setting in around two hours. And so she had been dead at least two hours for her neck muscles to start to be stiff. And so in that moment, I just stopped what I was doing, the room’s full of people waiting for me to do something. And I just said, God, there’s nothing I can do. This baby’s dead. And the Holy Spirit said to me, I know you can’t, but I can. And immediately she came back to life. And I realized when that happened, that in my hands, I witnessed death to life. That’s the same thing that happens to us when we’re born again. We are dead in our trespasses and in our sin. And the moment we are born again, the breath of the Holy Spirit comes into us and brings us back to life. And so the Holy Spirit spoke to me again right after that. And he said, Victoria, I’ve come to breathe life into what is dead. And he took me to Ezekiel, Ezekiel prophesying to the dry bones and prophesying again the breath of God to enter into them in an army, rising the army and Israel rising. And I just thought that it was a call to preach the gospel and to see the army of God arise, both the lost and the church. And I believe God’s come to breathe his spirit across all of it.

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (11:03):
Amen. And God’s opened up the door for you to minister in a bunch of different places. You’re starting to speak at conferences, churches are bringing you in to speak, you are speaking to young women, to young men, just challenging them to give their all for Jesus, breathing life everywhere you go. So talk to me a little bit about the vision that God has put in your heart. What do you see God doing in the years to come

Victoria Osborne (11:31):
Through

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (11:31):
Your ministry?

Victoria Osborne (11:33):
Yeah. I would say four things. Our mission statement is reap. So reach the lost, equip believers, awaken hearts and propel people into the harvest fields. And so I really believe that right now the Lord is breathing into evangelism and into equipping the body of Christ and to really see the soldiers in God’s army not live as civilians, but live as soldiers and take their place on the battlefield that we’re in right now. We’re in a war for souls and the Lord is calling his soldiers to have a part to play in this battle that we’re in. And so in the future, that’s really what I am passionate about seeing is seeing people reached and the church really be able to feel equipped and ready to be a part of what God’s doing.

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (12:17):
Share with me some testimonies of what you’ve seen God do as you’ve been administering in different parts of the world.

Victoria Osborne (12:23):
Yeah. Just a couple months ago, we did a School of Evangelism in Mexico and to Luca, and it was really incredible. One of my favorite things actually that I saw in to Luca is I brought a team of 10 people with me to help me with the school of evangelism. And we had two kids with us that were seven and nine, and we had equipped everybody to pray for the sick and to preach the gospel. And so every day we would go out and do outreaches. And some of my favorite testimonies, Daniel, were of the kids going up to people on the streets of Toluca and praying for healing and seeing the people healed and then those people giving their life to Jesus because they witnessed a miracle. And it just goes to show there’s really no junior Holy Spirit. Anybody can share the gospel and anybody can pray for the sick. The Lord’s just looking for willing vessels, but we have some really cool testimonies from the kids specifically.

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (13:17):
Amen. That’s awesome. Well, if someone wants to find out more information about your ministry or wants to support you with all the amazing projects that you’re doing, how can they find out more information about

Victoria Osborne (13:29):
You? Yeah, our website is breathe life international.org. And then we also have Instagram, Facebook. You can find us pretty much anywhere.

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (13:38):
Awesome. And we are here in Thailand, and over the course of the next few months, there are going to be massive outreaches

(13:53):
The Global Evangelist Alliance under Empower 21, we launched everyone Thailand. The goal is to share the gospel with every person here in the nation in Thailand. And that’s being done through media, through visiting schools. We minister at kindergarten this morning, we did the kindergarten. Kids were so excited to sing songs with us about Jesus and then doing massive gospel crusades. And so if you’re listening, I’d really ask you to pray for the nation of Thailand, especially as all this ministry kicks off. And we’re going to be going from city to city. There’s going to be over 25 events, I think it was maybe 25, 27, it might be up to 30 events that we’re doing

Victoria Osborne (14:45):
In

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (14:45):
Different cities, different locations around Thailand. Just last week in Chang Mai, Daniel Kalinda and Mattias Vander Stein, they did a great gospel crusade there and really kicked it off and people got saved. And in January, I’m going to be doing an event in the city of Piston Low,

(15:07):
Is right in the middle of Thailand. It’s a real strategic place, and so we’ll be doing a big crusade there, and we’re excited about that. But I’d like to ask you to pray for the nation of Thailand, pray for people to be saved, pray that God would enable us to reach everyone in Thailand

(15:25):
With a clear gospel message. So let’s just finish up today with prayer for this beautiful nation, the beautiful people of Thailand, Victoria, would you pray that God would touch the young people and bring many people to Jesus

Victoria Osborne (15:40):
Here in Thailand? Yeah. Lord, we thank you for the nation of Thailand as you inheritance God. And we just ask that the Gospel would go forth into this nation with power, with boldness, with authority, that hearts would be awakened to the name of Jesus Christ, who can save them from their sins and set them free from the power of sin and darkness and their life. Lord, we thank you for your hand upon this next generation in Thailand, that this next generation will follow Jesus and that they would raise up a mighty army of warriors for the gospel of Jesus Christ. We thank you, Lord, that there is no junior Holy Spirit and that you are pouring out your spirit on the next generation right now, Lord, we just plead the blood of Jesus over them, Lord, and we’re asking for many souls to come into the kingdom of God that there would be an urgency when people preach the gospel and that the Holy Spirit would pull people into the kingdom of God in a way that only he can. Lord, we thank you for your love for this nation and for every gospel event that’s going to be taking place here over the next few months, Lord, that your word will not return void, but that there would be a mighty harvest here in Thailand. In Jesus’ name,

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (16:50):
Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. One more question for you, Victoria. What would you say to a young person who wants to be used by God?

Victoria Osborne (17:00):
I would say God can take the smallest, simplest yes and use it for the biggest things in his kingdom. The only thing he’s looking for is you to take that one step of obedience that He’s asking from you right now in this moment. And as you do, the Lord will show you the next step.

Evangelism Podcast Host Daniel King (17:17):
That’s awesome. Victoria, thank you for being on the Evangelism Podcast.

Victoria Osborne (17:20):
Oh, thank you so much for having me, Daniel.
