Evangelism Coach Daniel King (00:00):
Welcome to the Evangelism Podcast. I’m Daniel King. I’m very excited about telling people about Jesus. And today I have a very special guest with me, Ryan Aiken from
Ryan Aitken (00:12):
South Africa.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (00:12):
South Africa. Married to an American and now we are together in the nation of Thailand. And so God is moving here. Ryan, tell me a little bit about what brought you here to the nation of Thailand.
Ryan Aitken (00:25):
Yeah, so it was 2018 when I came out and did, I was invited out to do ministry in Thailand, actually at a local church here in Bangkok. We did a healing conference and God really moved and in that time I saw a vision actually of stadiums all across Thailand being filled with Thai people. And then I saw them running to the feet of Jesus, hundreds of thousands of people. And God spoke to my heart and said, I want to bring a move of God in Thailand, which is only 1% Christian about, there’s a debate on that, but I want to bring a move of God to Thailand that would be a witness to the rest of the Southeast Asia, what God can do. And so then, yeah, then we made plans as my family now we then left California and then moved to Thailand and so been here since then.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (01:14):
And so you are also a graduate of the Christ for All Nations Evangelism Bootcamp. And I was one of the teachers there.
Ryan Aitken (01:22):
And
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (01:23):
So I’m so excited about the fruit that God has given you here. I feel like God will give me one or two little diamonds every time you get someone saved in my crown in heaven. Amen. But it’s just so wonderful to see what God is doing through your ministry. You’ve been starting to do gospel outreaches throughout Thailand. So tell me about that. What have you been seeing God do?
Ryan Aitken (01:46):
Yeah, so I was here before Covid and then I was then stuck in America during Covid and I was like, God, wow, am I stuck in America? And so at that time I was coming across a post on YouTube of the advertisement from C Fan for the bootcamp, and the God said, this is why I brought you back to America during Covid. So that’s when I did the bootcamp and then straight after that I feel like I received a grace then to do these crusades in Thailand. And so I came back to Thailand. We purchased a very large gospel truck, kind of like a transformer truck. And we then started doing these large crusades around Thailand. We’ve done numerous, numerous crusades in different cities all across the nation. Were literally thousands of people receiving the Lord. And at that time we also felt burdened to raise up the next generation of evangelists. So we started a school of evangelism here and we now have right now running our sixth school of evangelism up in the northern part of Thailand. So we are both actively really going for it with the gospel from one-on-one on the streets to the large crusades and raising up the next generation of Thai evangelists.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (02:58):
So it was about 18 months ago, we were together in Jakarta, Indonesia at a meeting of the Global Evangelist Alliance, empower 21. And the goal of the Empower 21 is to reach everyone on earth with authentic encounter with Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit before 2033, the 2000 year anniversary of the first day of Pentecost, and then the resurrection, the ascension of Jesus up into heaven. And so this is a massive initiative to reach people all over the world. And so the Global Evangelist Alliance is like the tip of the spear going into different nations and evangelizing. And every year we’re choosing one or two different countries to focus on. So last year we did El Salvador and saw God do amazing things in El Salvador. El Salvador is a small country, 6 million people, but we had 34% of the nation that was actually in our services face-to-face, 250,000 people that got saved and 4,000 plus churches that participated. So we saw God do amazing things in El Salvador, but we were there in Jakarta, Indonesia, and we started to pray what would be the next nation that God would give us to focus on? And Mattias Vander Stein came, he had just come from Thailand and went and visited so many churches and provinces across this nation and he gave us a report and we started to pray about what God would have us do and we felt like the Holy Spirit gave a resounding shout of yes to Thailand.
(04:38):
And you remember that moment? Yeah. It was really a divine moment. The Holy Spirit came into the room, we started to worship God together and the churches here in Thailand have been praying for God to send revival for so many years. And many missionaries have worked here, many ministries have worked here, but I think it’s a new day for Thailand. There is a new openness for people to hear the gospel and the churches have a project called Love Thailand where they are focused on winning people to Jesus over the next decade. And so we really felt like God called us here an answer to the prayers of the churches of Thailand. And that was wonderful. And so immediately the Global Evangelist Alliance started working to develop relationships throughout the country. And then in February of this year, we had a wonderful conference, everyone, Thailand, and I forget all the numbers, but it’s like 2,500 people who came, about 1200 churches represented at everyone Thailand. And the people were just so enthusiastic. We had such wonderful times of worship and praying for Thailand. And so it’s really beautiful to see what God is doing. And you’re very involved in organizing and the setup of it. Tell us some of kind of the anticipation of what you feel God is going to do during this next season here in Thailand. That’s a long story.
(06:15):
Wanted to get through it so we could just celebrate what God is doing here.
Ryan Aitken (06:18):
So the love Thailand one network has really been burden for to reach Thailand, but up until this point they really didn’t know how to do it. And then all of a sudden God then puts it on our heart of the GA to come and then join hands with the local tar churches to see the vision that ultimately God already impregnated the tar people
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (06:44):
With. Really, I think it’s important to point out that we are coming with a spirit of servanthood and not saying this is what we want to do, but to say God has been putting this on your heart. How can we serve the Thai church and be a part of what God has put on your heart to do?
Ryan Aitken (07:02):
Yeah, God had really been working in their hearts. And so us coming now to join arms with them to see their nation turn to the Lord is really something that many say. This is what we’ve been praying for decades, is this opportunity where the internationals and the nationals join arms to see this harvest. And so we are really excited. Our crusade season begins in November this year going through till next year, April. And as of now we have 21 crusades planned all across the nation, every district of the nation. And we really believe that more and more crusades will be added as we go along, but we really feel
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (07:44):
So if you’re listening and you have a heart to come to Thailand, there is something for you to do here. Amen. We want to get you involved, we want to get you plugged in. And so reach out to my ministry, Daniel King, go to the everyone thailand.com for more information about it. But if you want to be a part of it, we want you to be involved. So we are calling the entire body of Christ. There’s place for pastors to be involved, for evangelists to be involved, for discipleship ministries, for prayer ministries. We are calling the entire body of Christ to focus on Thailand over the course of this next year because we believe God’s going to do something magnificent here.
Ryan Aitken (08:30):
Yeah, definitely. All hands on deck. When God highlights a nation like Thailand, we really want to come and do what God’s doing. So if you’re free and available, join us to see Thailand saved. It really is Thailand’s Tom. Amen.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (08:45):
Okay, so part of the strategy for everyone Thailand is gospel trucks.
(08:51):
So at everyone Thailand conference in February, you had the first gospel truck built and it was parked right out front in front of the conference, and it’s this truck, it’s like the size of a bread truck and it has the side that transforms into a platform. So you just put the side of the truck down and you can preach from that. And then it has a sound system that’s attached to it with a generator. And so this truck can go anywhere across Thailand to preach the gospel. And I saw people coming into the conference and they were so excited. Everybody wanted to take a picture with the truck. They were so excited. And when they heard the vision of using the gospel truck to go out and witness here, everyone was so excited about it. Here in Thailand, there are many night markets.
Ryan Aitken (09:41):
And
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (09:42):
So this truck is the perfect tool to pull up to a night market. Everyone’s out there in the cool of the night shopping, you just put the side down, have a band from one of the local churches begin to minister, and people gather together and then you can share the gospel with them. And so there’s one gospel truck and you have already been using it, but we actually need a fleet of gospel trucks to really impact this nation. So tell us kind of what results you’ve seen with the truck that has already been built and what are you doing with it?
Ryan Aitken (10:18):
Yeah, so the one that we’ve already been built has been going literally every week out doing outreaches in different places around Thailand. And it’s been incredible. Just this month alone, we reached over a thousand people with the gospel and with over 250 people receiving the Lord and then being placed into the local churches. And we really feel the wind of the Holy Spirit on this project because the miracles have been incredible. The first ever gospel truck, there was a gentleman there that had a tumor on his neck and he couldn’t speak. He was in a lot of trouble. He couldn’t eat, couldn’t drink properly. And during the very first gospel truck, the power of God touched him and that tumor shrank. And then we did another gospel truck in a different area and he came on the second gospel truck event to come and testify, saying that now he’s speaking, the tumors has disappeared, he’s eating, he’s drinking, and his life has literally been plucked from death.
(11:20):
So we have then been seen a flood of incredible miracles like gland eyes opening, deaf ears opening, all to point to the authenticity of the gospel message that has been preached from these small gospel truck events. This first truck that we’ve launched has been a massive success, really. It has a lot of the, we don’t need many churches, but we just need a few and we can do it year round during the rainy season, and it’s not a lot of preparation to try and put it up. And I would say the big factor is different from a large crusaders in a large crusade, we are inviting people to come to our event and we put on, musicians are playing, we’re giving away prizes, but with the small gospel trek, we go to them and we need both forms of evangelism to reach this nation.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (12:13):
And this is a great way for local churches to get involved in evangelism. It gives them a part that they can play.
Ryan Aitken (12:19):
And
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (12:20):
Then we’re training up evangelists. You’re doing schools of evangelism and training up evangelists, and so we need places to send them. So this gospel truck is going to be a tool that is going to be tremendously effective in reaching people for Jesus here in Thailand. And so you have one, but you have more coming. Tell me about what’s coming.
Ryan Aitken (12:38):
Yeah, so we have another four more, actually there’s four more are being modified right now. So
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (12:45):
The process has
Ryan Aitken (12:46):
Already started. It’s already started. So there will be done by the end of April. And then at the end of April we then we have selected four more evangelists that have a team and strategic places around Thailand to begin to bless that region, those provinces in that region with the gospel truck ministry. So every church in Thailand has the ability to sign up to invite a gospel truck team to come. And as of now, we are in station one in the north of Thailand, the northeast, sorry, the southwest central and then the south of Thailand. So we are spreading out the gospel trucks.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (13:27):
So my province that I’ve been assigned, so for everyone Thailand, we’ve divided the nation up into about 20 different areas where large crusades will take place with evangelists coming. And so I was assigned to the province of piston, did I say that right?
(13:47):
Yeah. We are going to do a gospel truck there. I’m going to be doing an evangelism training school at the end of July. And then we will send a gospel truck there that they will, the churches are going to start using it to evangelize that entire region of Thailand. And so in my province there’s 95, and so I’m going to challenge the local churches to do an outreach in every single one of the 95 Subdistricts between August to February when we’re going to do a big crusade there in that city. And so by the time we do the crusade, we will be able to say that we have done evangelism throughout the entire region, but we don’t have a gospel truck yet built for my region. And so I am praying that God would put it on someone’s heart to sponsor a gospel truck for the region of Pi Lu. And so what does it cost to build and then to run it for equip,
Ryan Aitken (14:53):
Equip
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (14:53):
And equip it.
Ryan Aitken (14:54):
So the cost is $50,000 for the truck and it’s a brand new truck. So there’s longevity that for many years to come, we can use it. And that includes the customizing of the stage and all of the equipment. So obviously you need the sound desks and the musicians need the instruments and everything that needs to the lights, the speakers, everything for the running of the small gospel trucks. So the total is $50,000.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (15:18):
Okay, so for my district, we’re going to do 95 outreaches and we need $50,000 to build a gospel truck for the province of piston ou.
Ryan Aitken (15:29):
And
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (15:29):
So I want to ask you to pray about being a part of that. Maybe you could do the 50,000, maybe you could do 10,000, maybe you could do a thousand, but if we had 50 people that would do a thousand each, we can build a gospel truck for piston ou. But if you want to do that, go to my website king ministries.com and donate today for the gospel truck in piston loo. But then we also need more. Right now you’re already working on five, but there’s actually 77 provinces here in Thailand. And this is a big faith goal, but I think the faith goal is that we could have a gospel truck for every single province across this nation. And so maybe you could do five gospel trucks or you could sponsor 10 gospel trucks, that’d be half a million dollars. But this is going to have long-term impact because for many years to come, these gospel trucks are going to be going from place to place sharing the gospel, and it’s going to be a tool that the local churches can use to reach out to the nation of Thailand.
Ryan Aitken (16:39):
Exactly.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (16:40):
And so we need your help. Please help us to send gospel trucks to Thailand. We need a fleet of gospel trucks. Go check out the website everyone thailand.com. You can see the whole vision there of what God is doing here in the nation, but we want to invite you to be a part.
Ryan Aitken (16:57):
Yeah.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (16:59):
Okay. And so tell me more about the plans coming up over the course of this next year. What are some of the outreaches that everyone Thailand is going to be doing
Ryan Aitken (17:11):
From, basically from now until October is the, we’re entering into the rainy season. So we’re not doing any large crusade events, but we are focusing now on the large crusade planning and also the equipping of the saints and really the raising of the evangelists in Thailand. So we are now going into the phase of training and you mentioned that you’re going to be doing the training I think in
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (17:34):
July. In
Ryan Aitken (17:35):
July.
(17:36):
And so that is the phase that we are in. We’re going to do evangelism training, discipleship training, Jean-Luc Skel and his ministries. They’re going to be doing the healing and deliverance training and preparation for all the crusades. And then as soon as we hit November, I believe the first crusade is going to be in the city of brewery room with Pastor Henry Ava and Pastor Henry Ava has done many crusades in the past in Thailand. And we really believe this will be a big, big explosion that would hopefully send ripple effects through the nation of excitement for all the next 20 other crusades that would take place. So that’s what we’re looking at. And for the rest of the year, we are now also parallel with that launching the small gospel truck project continuously.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (18:23):
And so we are so excited about what God is doing here in Thailand and we really feel like this is God’s time for Thailand, that God is opening heaven over this nation and pouring out his glory. And so I want to invite you to be praying for Thailand, pray that God would give us a great harvest of souls here in this place. Pray that many people would be saved, pray for discipleship to happen. Now one of the main questions that evangelists get is what do you do about follow-up? And I really like the follow-up plan with the gospel truck because right on the gospel truck really big, you have a QR code. And when someone scans the QR code, they instantly get access to many resources to help them grow as a new believer, to learn more about the story of Jesus and then will be able to continue to follow up on the people that get saved. And so tell us some about, it’s pretty sophisticated actually, but tell us about the follow-up plan with the QR code.
Ryan Aitken (19:32):
So we have the QR code both at the crusade events and the small gospel trucks. And anybody that’s signs up through it, they go in through a program led by jesus.net. I dunno if you guys are familiar with that ministry, but they’re really focused on then helping people in their new beginnings with Jesus, their first discipleship phrases. But also if the person has not yet made a decision for Jesus, they also facilitate them on a journey till they make the decision for Jesus. And ultimately they link up with a call center where somebody is personally discipling them and then leading them to a local church. So this isn’t addition to the more traditional ways where as soon as the pastors and the churches receive the information, they follow up the new believers. This is an addition to that. So this is something that we are now implementing into the everyone talent project as brand new. Traditionally we only focus on those that receive the Lord, but this actually focusing on those that have not quite ready to receive the Lord. They just need some more information connection and then that would lead them to the Lord. So this is brand new
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (20:43):
In here in Thailand. It’s such a small percentage that are Christian. That is actually a really big decision for someone to decide to follow Jesus. And sometimes it takes a process to get them to that point. And so wherever we are, sometimes we plow the ground, sometimes we sow seeds, sometimes we water the seeds and God is the one who gives the harvest.
Ryan Aitken (21:05):
Yeah, exactly.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (21:06):
So wherever they are on the journey, we want to take people from step to step until they become a follower of Jesus and know the peace that only Jesus can give.
Ryan Aitken (21:16):
Yeah, exactly.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (21:17):
So Ryan, you are living here as a missionary in Thailand. You need people to support you, to help you with the crusades and the outreaches that you’re doing. If someone wants to support your ministry, what is your website? How can they get more information about you?
Ryan Aitken (21:34):
So we have a website called spirit of revival ministries.com. And if you just go onto that website, it has all the information of what we are doing of the schools that we host for the local people. We have an online school, we do evangelism training in India and other countries. And then if you feel like you want to join the team and partner with us, we would be more than welcome. The more that we have partnership, the more we can do as it is with the ministry.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (22:03):
Amen. Well, let’s finish by praying together for the nation of Thailand and pray that God would send a great harvest here. Would you like to?
Ryan Aitken (22:11):
Yeah, let’s pray. Father, we want to thank you for Thailand and we thank you yes,
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (22:16):
Lord,
Ryan Aitken (22:16):
That it is Thailand’s time and God that your eyes are on Thailand right now and we thank you for all the preparation that has been taking place that the local churches in Thailand are rising up to the occasion and they’re seeing that it is harvest time in Thailand. And so Lord, we just submit this project that everyone Thailand project into your hands, Lord. And we ask, just like the seed that gets sown in different types of soil, we declare that this seed of the everyone Thailand project in Thailand would produce a crop 60, 80, a hundred fold that Lord at the end of, sorry, next April, that we would see something that would be extraordinary above and beyond what we could think or imagine that we would see a nation turning to you. So Lord, we just thank you for this Lord, and we pray that as pastors and leaders and evangelists from around the world link up arms to form a massive net, that we would see millions receive Jesus over the next 12 months, God we love you and we give you all the glory and we thank you for what you’re doing.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (23:22):
Amen. Thank you for being on the Evangelism podcast.
Ryan Aitken (23:25):
Yeah, it’s an honor. Thank you, Daniel.

Welcome to the Evangelism Podcast. I’m Daniel King. I’m very excited about telling people about Jesus. Today. I have a very special guest with me, Mattheus van der Steen from the Netherlands. Thank you for being with me.
Mattheus van der Steen (03:17):
Thank you so much. Eventually, Daniel, they’re actually calling me the Flying Dutchman,
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (03:22):
The Flying
Mattheus van der Steen (03:23):
Dutch Flying Dutchman arrive here in your studio.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (03:25):
Well, thank you so much for coming to Tulsa and it’s wonderful to see you. A couple of years ago it was so wonderful to be in Amsterdam for the Everyone Conference, which you worked so hard to organize and to set up, and it was so beautiful because people came from all over the world who had a passion for evangelism.
Mattheus van der Steen (03:48):
Yeah, I think that was still until this day, the most significant, I would say, a courageous moment for the church history, that five 6,000 global leaders with impact reaching millions of people with all the networks together came together around the theme, the Great Commission. How can we work together to reach every person with the gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit? I mean, just think about that day, nomination leaders, church leaders talking about how can we work together to see our area, our nation changed. So for us it was supernatural. The Great Commission is of course for us as evangelists, it was like heaven. I mean hearing church leaders talking about winning souls for Jesus. Yeah, it made me cry. I mean they were speaking our language and what for me was the most beautiful thing was that the existing church leaders and fathers and mothers actually are saying, we need needy evangelists. We want to embrace them. When I started 25 years ago, the ministry Evangel Daniel, that was not the case. I mean, most evangelists were, how do you say that? I don’t want to be sounding sad, but we’re lonely,
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (05:11):
Isolated, ignored, ignored. No one understands. You come back from a big event and thousands of people would get saved and come back to a church in Europe or America and they’d just say, oh, did you eat anything weird? No passion for all the people that are coming to Jesus.
Mattheus van der Steen (05:29):
True.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (05:31):
But I think it’s a new day for evangelism in the world.
Mattheus van der Steen (05:33):
That’s what I say. It’s a courageous moment. It was like literally a new chapter of a book opened for evangelism. So I really think this is the time for a whole generation to rise up in faith. There are a lot of churches around the world who are embracing the great commission but don’t know how to do it. So here we are as evangelists. It’s really time to move forward and to be very radical about this.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (05:56):
And it was at conference that God gave Dr. Billy Wilson a vision to reach everyone on earth and to personalize the great commission to one by one to make sure that everyone has an encounter with Jesus. And the goal is that everyone would have an authentic encounter with Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit before the year 2033, which will be the 2000 year anniversary of the giving of the Great Commission, the death and resurrection of Jesus, the ascension of Jesus up in heaven, and then the day of Pentecost and how appropriate it would be to celebrate the original day of Pentecost by giving God a gift of thousands and even millions of new souls coming into the kingdom of heaven. And so this vision was launched and we are already starting to put it into practice. And so both of us are part of the global Evangelist alliance.
(07:00):
And last year we went to El Salvador and we saw God do tremendous miracles in El Salvador. We actually had 34% of the nation that was with us face, face-to-face in the services, which was amazing and 250,000 plus people that gave their lives to Jesus. But El Salvador is an easy country, many churches there, many Christians already. It’s a small country, only 6 million. And we were praying, we were at a meeting in Jakarta, in Jakarta, Indonesia, and we were praying and saying, God, where should we go next? And you had just taken your entire family on a trip across all of Thailand and you came and you brought a report to us and you said, guys, I think God is doing something special in the nation of Thailand and we could see a harvest of souls in Thailand. And we all began to pray about it. And do you remember when we started to pray, it felt like the Holy Spirit came into the room and when we ask God and say, God, should we go to Thailand, it felt like the Holy Spirit shouted, yes, I want to see Thailand say it was
Mattheus van der Steen (08:16):
Loaded. It was so amazing. It was so amazing. And again, it’s very touching again to hear you speak about everyone vision right now. I really feel like God’s anointing is on this. I mean, what does it mean to personalize the great commission? And when we talk about everyone, we talk about 8 billion people, right? Eight plus billion people, Dr. Billy Wilson told us that around 5.3 billion people don’t know the Lord. Why are we speaking right now? It means like 2.7 plus billion people know the Lord. What if these 2.7 billion people, and some of them they’re listening right now to your podcast, are making a commitment to personalize the great commission in their lives. So imagine with us that in less than it’s 2025 right now, in less than eight years, we have the opportunity of reaching 5.3 billion people all around the world. And we only can do this together. No one is called to run this race alone. It’s too big for one ministry. That’s what I love about this whole vision. So 4 billion people around that number are living in Asia.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (09:26):
We can’t reach the world for Jesus without thinking about Asia.
Mattheus van der Steen (09:30):
It’s say 45% is living in Asia. So if we talk about reaching everyone, I really love that there is a lot of focus right now on Asia. And again, let’s not forget America, let’s not forget Europe and all the other continents, but in Asia there’s a huge harvest. And again, Jesus is the Lord of this harvest. So when you say, I came back with a report and I love that we can talk honestly about this stuff, it’s really in faith like with my natural eyes. So I don’t want to encourage everyone who’s listening with your natural eyes. It was almost impossible. I mean, I saw the biggest giants walking around in Thailand, in any other nation when it comes to disunity, when it comes to networks, when it comes to people having a heart for the great commission. I mean, I really had to choose to look in faith and seeing the spiritually realm what God wanted to do.
(10:30):
But what I kept hearing was the famous word, Matt, it’s kairos time for Thailand. When I walked in Thailand in the south, seeing less than 1% people being a Christian, people getting actually in some of the areas in the south, people are getting persecuted there. Another strong religion, very active. I kept hearing the Lord say, but it’s my car’s time. When eter steps into our time, everything changed. And so I think the Lord was really challenging us to just really step in faith and say yes to talent. Even though there are incredible things happening in Thailand right now. We keep hearing from missionaries working there for 25 years, 30 years, that since two years they feel like there’s an atmosphere shift. So what do I mean with that? There’s a missionary in the north working for so long, they’re plowing, facing a lot of persecution. People are very antichrist resisting now. They have this ministry have lines of people. I saw videos. Benji Morph is very involved in this ministry. They want to stay unknown though, but they say that we saw on the video thousands of people on the monthly base are getting baptized right now in rivers. There is an underground revival happening in Thailand.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (11:53):
And actually I heard that a lot of that is in the district that I’m assigned to Luke. And so I’m so excited. I’m like, wow, I got the best place to go. God is moving in such a tremendous way.
Mattheus van der Steen (12:07):
I make sure eventually it’s Daniel, you do your crusade near the river because this is really a thing they want to get baptized. There has been a new report out two weeks ago and they had one line of three kilometers. Again, I come from Europe, so it’s like 1.6 miles I think of people waiting to get baptized. I
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (12:26):
Mean, what a miracle. It’s a miracle what a day of Pentecost type the thing to do where they had 3000 people saved in one day. So we just had a wonderful launch event in
Mattheus van der Steen (12:40):
February America itself
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (12:42):
For everyone Thailand. And it was so beautiful. We were at Liberty Church there in Bangkok beautiful church facility and filled the place up with pastors and leaders from across Thailand. And we started to talk about what does it look like to see a harvest here? And I saw so many that just had a great heart and a great passion for seeing God do something wonderful in Thailand.
Mattheus van der Steen (13:15):
And what really touched me about this, because people said before what you want is not possible. Even a Thai pastor said it’s not possible to get so much pastor around the great commission, but when the Lord speaks a word, just obey that. Just follow it. Don’t look and hear what all the critics are saying. Be open for correction of course, but really following the Lord. And I think that’s what we did together in faith. We moved forward and in the end we had around a thousand churches and 2000 plus pastors from every province. We have 77 provinces in Thailand. Being there hearing the vision, how can we work together in reaching talent for Jesus, our vision for the coming 12 months, and I do believe it’s God’s vision, is reaching 10% of the whole population of Thailand with the gospel of Jesus Christ. So there are around 70 million people, 74 million people, some say 72 million people.
(14:10):
So we keep it like, oh, we say 70 plus million people. That means that the coming 12 months and all your listeners, I want to challenge them to pray about this, to be part of this. Everyone can be part of this through enriching talent with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We want to reach 7 million people through gospel trucks, through crusades, like what you’re going to do through outreaches, through different types of evangelism. The Jesus film, the Jesus film is there. We are working together with the chosen. We try to get the whole chosen series in the Buddhistic nation on national television. Can you imagine that? It’s big. It’s wild. So really I do believe that between now and 12 months, we are going to see a major change in Thailand. While we are speaking, we have 12 young evangelists in Thailand. Right after the launch, they saw 17 and a half thousand teenagers coming to Jesus this morning. I got a report that the last week they saw seven of thousand teenagers surrendering the life to Jesus in schools in Thailand. That’s happening right now.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (15:15):
Wow.
Mattheus van der Steen (15:16):
So quickly we talk about the last four or five weeks, 25,000 teenagers are rescued for eternity. And that’s great news.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (15:24):
Amen. Well, I’m so excited about what God is doing in Thailand and it’s such a privilege to be a part of it. One of the things that I think is so beautiful is that when evangelists partner together with the local churches, you have these churches in Thailand that have been there for many years and they love God. They’re praying for people to be saved. They love the people of Thailand and they’ve been praying to say, God, do something in our nation. And God spoke to us from outside the nation, from Europe, from the United States, from Africa, all these evangelists and put Thailand in our heart. And really it’s the answer to the prayers of the churches of Thailand,
Speaker 3 (16:09):
A hundred percent.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (16:09):
And now when we join together, we can dream big and in the natural a dream might look impossible, but with God, all things are possible. And one of the anointings of an evangelist, I think, is to bring people together in unity and to bring different churches. Maybe one church doesn’t talk to another church that they have had a disagreement 50 years ago and so ever since they haven’t gotten along. But we can come and say, guys, let’s focus on the great commission, the words of Jesus to go and to bring all creation to the foot of the cross and to meet Jesus. And that’s something that every single church can agree
Speaker 3 (16:54):
On
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (16:55):
And that we can all can say yes, we may have different theology in different areas, but we agree that everyone needs Jesus.
Mattheus van der Steen (17:03):
That’s right. And I really love what you’re saying. That was a thing. So touching that when we came into Thailand and did a pioneering trip there, we kept hearing from the generals, the fathers of faith there that their desire was to see at least 1 million type people coming to Jesus, at least 10,000 new churches. So it was almost like the Lord already prepared the way. The question was how are we going to do that? The why is very clear, but how are we going to do that? So most leaders felt like that. The whole everyone talent vision was really connected with their vision. And I am pretty sure that if we do a podcast around maybe this time a little bit later, next year, 2026, we can tell the listeners, listen, this is what God has done. Five, 6 million type people surrendered the life to Jesus. Not only that, they are in training schools, they are in discipleship courses. The history of Thailand is going to be changed.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (18:02):
I’m going to be going to Thailand in just a couple of weeks. And so in my city we’ve put together committees of local pastors and they have been talking what is the best strategy for reaching people in our area? There’s many different strategies and we’re not saying you have to do it one way or one strategy, but we’re saying let’s do everything we can to focus on the great commission during this time. And one of the things that was so exciting at the everyone Thailand launch event was seeing the very first gospel truck, which was built, and I saw so many people, they came in, it was parked right beside the front door door and everyone was taking pictures. They’re standing up there pretending like they were preaching. But I think that this gospel truck is a strategy that is going to work because there’s so many villages in neighborhoods throughout Thailand.
(18:56):
How are we going to reach them? Well, let’s take young tie people, teach them how to share the gospel and send them out into the village. And so the truck, it was so beautiful, it has a platform, it comes down out of the side of the truck and then it has a sound system. And in just a few minutes you can set it up, set up the sound system, put some chairs out and invite people to come. And you could have 50 people, you could have 200 people, you could have 500 people just with this little truck. But we realized that one truck is not enough. That’s true. At first, I think we were saying maybe we could do 12 trucks,
Mattheus van der Steen (19:32):
10
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (19:32):
And 10. Let’s do 10 of these gospel trucks. And then we said maybe we could do 50. And then I remember the moment in the conference where you stood up and said, there’s 77 provinces in Thailand. Why shouldn’t we believe God for 77 gospel trucks?
Mattheus van der Steen (19:53):
And the whole thing, like pastors, I never saw pastors. This were not young people. Pastors stood up, it was a holy moment. And they start to cheer and clap. And I felt like to weep, I said, Lord, this pastors really are hungry. What I love Avengers, Daniel is that in Thailand you have to realize that they’re a little bit more, it’s a little bit more, how do you say that? Different than here in the states. So they have night markets. So every night you have night markets in the villages. That means when it’s dark, people are coming out and they’re going to shop in the night market. It’s one place in the city center. So to have a gospel truck there, it’s almost like free advertisement. There are always people in the night market. Normally we do our crusades in the night because it’s more cooler, it’s more effective.
(20:42):
So we can reach 500 to a thousand people per night just through a gospel truck. So right now we are training several hundreds of evangelists. They’re all on the list right now to get trained in Thailand, to be an evangelist for the gospel trucks, there are 80,000 villages all over Thailand. So imagine with us that in five years, if we have 77 gospel trucks and we do two or three small village crusades per week with a gospel truck, because we don’t have to do the weekends. On Monday, there is a night market. And on Sunday and on Thursday we can reach in less than five years every village in Thailand with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (21:27):
So in my district, there’s 95 sub-districts and I’m hoping that we can go and do an evangelistic campaign in each of the 95 sub-districts between this August and when my crusade will happen in February. And so at the end of July, I’m going to go and do a week of training in evangelism. And the pastors have said that they can give me 50 young people to train for the first part of the week. And then the second part of the week will have over 300 pastors and leaders and the people from the churches come and be trained in evangelism. And then each of the churches will take that truck out and begin to do these night markets, going to different villages, going to different places to share the gospel. And the truck will be used every night throughout the week. So a different church will use it each night. So each church will build an evangelism team and then take the truck out and so that the truck will be used full time. But each church is responsible for sending out an evangelism team once a week and say, guys, at least once a week, can you take Monday night? Can you take Tuesday night? And between August and next February, we want to do 95 mini crusades, the truck. It’s going to go from place to place. And I think we’re going to see such tremendous fruit.
Mattheus van der Steen (22:54):
That’s an amazing strategy. I like that a lot. So it would be great.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (22:57):
So I’m already talking to the pastors and they’re already excited about, they saw the truck and now I got to go to them and say, now we need to trust God to provide a truck for us.
Mattheus van der Steen (23:09):
Amen. And I think that’s where your listeners can really pray and consider joining us. What I love about this gospel truck is you don’t need like $10,000 to do a crusade with a couple of hundreds of dollars. You already can do a two, three night crusade with a gospel truck.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (23:26):
Yeah, once you have the truck, because a lot of the expense of doing a crusade is renting a sound system, renting a platform, and getting transportation there. But with this gospel truck, what we’re doing is we’re building the infrastructure of evangelism. So think about a church here in America. A lot of churches will do a capital campaign in order to build a building. Why? Because the building is where all the ministry of the church takes place. And so here in America, a church will raise 15 million, 20 million for building a new gymnasium so that they can reach the youth in their community. And so then every week they bring the youth to that gymnasium to preach to them. Well, think about doing evangelism. The evangelism doesn’t happen in a church building because lost people don’t come to church because they’re lost. So somehow you got to go to them. And so in order to do all of these evangelism trucks, what we need is a capital campaign to invest in the infrastructure of evangelism because the evangelism will take place on these trucks. And so investing in a truck is investing in a church building, but the truck goes from place to place doing evangelism. And so this is a great investment for the body of Christ to say, Hey, we want to reach Thailand for Jesus and 77 trucks. That’s big faith. What was the cost of doing one truck? The first truck,
Mattheus van der Steen (24:59):
50,000 per year. And that’s including also the maintenance and a small celery for an evangelist
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (25:05):
And then paying for some of the gasoline to take it from place to place.
Mattheus van der Steen (25:09):
We have all a whole detailed plan. It’s like an incredible organization to have 77 gospel trucks on the road every day. But there’s a very solid plan for that. We have great contracts and deals with a Japanese company or a building, this gospel trucks. And what I love as well about this gospel trucks is that we all using the same Q air code. Everything in Thai people love. What do we use here? Messenger or WhatsApp group? That’s the lying thing. Everyone is doing lying. That’s how they communicate. It’s like a sort of Instagram. Sure.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (25:45):
It’s like WhatsApp,
Mattheus van der Steen (25:46):
Facebook. So we are all using one QR code. So all over til people scan this QR code and through the chosen and jesus.net, we give them an opportunity to really start a journey with Christ. So I do believe we can reach millions of people the coming years with the gospel through the gospel trucks. And I think this is really important. Kingdom key.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (26:11):
Okay, so if you’re listening, I want to ask you to sponsor a gospel truck. It would cost $50,000
Mattheus van der Steen (26:19):
Or partly,
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (26:20):
Or you could do part of it. But I want to go for someone who will do the whole
Mattheus van der Steen (26:25):
Gospel truck. Yes, your logo will be on the gospel truck.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (26:29):
So can you sponsor a gospel truck, give a gift of $50,000, help us do a gospel truck for one year. Now if you’re an evangelist, what I want to challenge you to do is do this through your ministry. You can come and you can do some of the first crusades with the gospel truck and then through your ministry, sponsor it throughout the entire year. And you can be a part of helping us to reach Thailand. If you’re a church, why can’t your church sponsor a gospel truck to go all year long in the nation of Thailand?
Mattheus van der Steen (27:03):
Yeah, five years.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (27:03):
And think about what an impact it will have going every single week, day after day, from village to village, from marketplace to marketplace. I think one gospel truck could be responsible for reaching a hundred thousand, 200, 500,000 people with just one gospel
Mattheus van der Steen (27:22):
Truck. That’s true. And that’s happening when you are sleeping. So example, you’re going to give while you are sleeping in the night. It’s 12 hours difference. Of course in Thailand, just the thought when you’re watching Netflix or you are in your prayer live or you’re on Sunday morning in church, that gospel truck is used to win full-time for at least five years on a weekly base. People for Jesus for eternity. I love that thought. Amen.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (27:50):
Okay, so if you want to sponsor a whole gospel truck or maybe you could do a part of a gospel truck, you can go right now to everyone thailand.com. So everyone thailand.com and donate and give towards gospel trucks. And if you want to sponsor my gospel truck, I need a gospel truck for my area, contact me www.kingministries.com.
(28:17):
We need not just one. We need at least 77 gospel trucks so that we can have one in every single province throughout the nation of Thailand. And I believe right now, God is speaking to you. You need to go and help us to sponsor a gospel truck.
Mattheus van der Steen (28:34):
Yes.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (28:35):
And we need evangelists that will come and adopt a gospel truck and come and you could even do multiple trips to Thailand, get your gospel truck working, get it started in a province, and then you could come back two or three times. Then you’d already have your equipment there. You could be doing crusade after crusade impacting the nation of Thailand. And Vinces
Mattheus van der Steen (28:56):
Daniel. Thailand is beautiful. I mean it is beautiful. I mean incredible islands. The people are I think the most nicest people on planet earth. They’re so humble. So hospital, the hospitality is great. And what I love is the food. The food is the best. People said, are you getting sick when you go to Thailand? I said, no, because everything really is around tourism. You don’t really get sick in Thailand. So the street markets are great. I really want to challenge everyone. Come with us. Go to Thailand. Experience is incredible culture and most important, see, revival. See Jesus moving through your life.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (29:36):
Another thing I wanted to talk about is the Christ for All school of ministry. And so you’re helping evangelist Daniel Kolenda with Christ for All Nations to launch this. And it’s going to be an amazing training center to help train up people who have a passion for ministry, a passion for evangelism. Tell me a little bit about that and how people can find out how they can go and be a student for the school of
Mattheus van der Steen (30:06):
Ministry. Well, I’ve actually very great news because we have some spots available for everyone who is listening right now. And we want to offer you all your listeners a very special deal. That’s a free scholarship for the first year.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (30:20):
A free scholarship.
Mattheus van der Steen (30:21):
Yeah, free scholarship. It’s really worth $5,000. We have the most amazing speakers. You are part of it, of course. Evangelist Daniel Klin and myself will we be teaching every week. We have a lot of C and evangelists coming over, but we also have Cindy Jacobs, Randy Clark, Ben Fitzgerald, Heidi Baker, the list goes on and on and on. We have like 28 international global speakers who’re going to pour out everything they received from the Lord in this school. This school is really based on the fivefold ministry. We want to train people to find their place in the harvest. There are a lot of students, they dunno what to do with their life. We really want to invite every person you’re called by God, not just as an evangelist, but like you are called in a fivefold ministry, including in the business and you want to make a change, please come to the school. We starting August 26th this year in Orlando places of all places, we have already 300 students. We have a cap of around 350 students. So again, I want to give all your listeners a free school leadership. If you’re interested in it, go right now to CFAN. It’s www.cfansom.com.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (31:38):
Yeah, cfan.org. They have information up about it and apply and get your scholarship.
Mattheus van der Steen (31:45):
Yeah, get your scholarship and come to Orlando and we come to train you. You can choose for a one year or a two year. We have even agreements with some of the universities, so it’s also academic. So besides like importation, great opportunities for outreach and great teachings, we have also an academic site in built into the school. So they actually get credits. So when you do our SOM school, we have agreements with SEU, we have agreements with the Oral Robert University and all the Christian universities around the states that you actually can get credits for that school year or you do the two year school.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (32:24):
And if you have a heart for evangelism, it will be fired up by being at Christ for all nations. The great ministry of Reinhard Bonnke and Daniel Kolenda, they have just finished their 50th year. They did 50 crusades across Africa in one year in their 50th year. Just tremendous faith. And to see what God is doing through their ministry. And they’re training up so many evangelists,
Mattheus van der Steen (32:47):
5,000 right now
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (32:48):
Around the world and it’s so amazing.
Mattheus van der Steen (32:51):
And they see around half million people like facts coming to Christ every month right now. So it’s like it’s an amazing ministry where they multiply, train, equip, and give them opportunities. So if you want to be part of this amazing school, please come and see us in August in Orlando.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (33:07):
Amen, Florida. Alright, well let’s finish with praying together for Thailand. Yes, we need your help in Thailand. It’s a big vision. We need people to be involved. We need evangelists to participate. We need churches to come help us with discipleship, to do leadership training. There’s so many opportunities for people to be involved. You can come and sponsor a gospel truck, find a businessman who will go and sponsor an entire gospel truck. I mean, we need your help for Thailand, but let’s just finish by praying together for Thailand and what God is going to do
Mattheus van der Steen (33:43):
There. Yes, let’s pray. Lord, we just want to thank you so much for this podcast and we thank you God for shaking the nations. We thank you Lord that we living in ous moments and we thank you Lord that you have said so clearly. Yes to Thailand. And Lord, we want to say yes to you. And I want to pray together with Aventus Daniel and all our listeners right now to this podcast, Lord, that your will will be done. That every stronghold will be broken over Thailand. That every person who’s living in darkness in deep darkness, Lord is facing eternal hell. We thank you Lord, that Lord your light and your glory and your love and your power and your resurrected power, your covered in blood will invade every person’s life living in Thailand right now. Lord, we proclaim your covenant blood over all the 70 million plus people living in Thailand. We thank you Lord that strongholds and demonic forces will be broken. We thank you Lord that we are going to see your light be is seeing every corner of darkness in Thailand. We thank you Lord for your glorious light. We thank you Lord for eternal life. We thank you Lord for your blessing in your hand upon this nation up into the government and up to the king. We thank you Lord that Thailand shall be saved in Jesus’ name.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (35:08):
Well, thank you so much for listening to the Evangelism podcast and come work with us in Thailand. Let’s see. Jesus do amazing things. Thank you so much. Thank you, Mathias, for being on the Evangelism Podcast.
Mattheus van der Steen (35:19):
See you next year. I.
On today’s episode of The Evangelism Podcast you will hear Daniel King minister on “Boldness for Evangelism” at the EveryONE Thailand conference in Bangkok, Thailand, hosted by the Global Evangelist Alliance. Over two thousand pastors and church leaders gathered together for this kickoff event to evangelize Thailand. The nation of 70 million people is only 2% Christian, but the churches of Thailand have a goal to increase the number of Christians to be 10% of the population. This would represent a total of 7 million souls coming to Jesus. The goal of EveryONE Thailand is to take the Gospel to all 77 provinces of Thailand over the next eighteen months!

Yes, I’m going to the store right now. I’m going to buy some bread. Don’t worry, I’ll bring it back. I love you too. And then I go to the store. I buy some rice. I buy some vegetable, and then beep, beep.
Translator (10:17):
It’s a text message. It’s from my wife. One word.
Evangelist Daniel King (10:26):
Do you know what the word was? Oh, you are so smart. Here, bread. Now, what would happen if I got
Translator (10:38):
All the way back home and I forgot to bring the bread? I
Evangelist Daniel King (10:48):
Would be in trouble.
Translator (10:51):
Now,
Evangelist Daniel King (10:51):
What happens if Jesus returns and we forget what he told us five times to do.
Translator (11:04):
Matthew
Evangelist Daniel King (11:04):
28, go make disciples. Mark 16, go unto all the world and preach the gospel. Luke 24, forgiveness of sins will be preached. 20.
Translator (11:21):
As
Evangelist Daniel King (11:22):
The Father sent, Jesus is sending me, you’ll receive power
Translator (11:31):
To
Evangelist Daniel King (11:31):
Be a witness. How many of you think we should obey the words of Jesus? Raise your hand. Amen.
Translator (11:42):
Amen.
Evangelist Daniel King (11:44):
I want to tell you another story. When I was 14 years old, I went on a mission trip to the country of Jamaica.
Translator (11:57):
Mission trip.
Evangelist Daniel King (11:59):
Jamaica is a very hot country. And so all day we were running through the neighborhoods, passing out flyers, inviting people to come to the crusade
Translator (12:09):
T. And then when nighttime came, we
Evangelist Daniel King (12:17):
Wanted to return to our hotel,
Translator (12:20):
Take
Evangelist Daniel King (12:20):
A shower
Translator (12:22):
And go
Evangelist Daniel King (12:22):
To bed. But all the water in the hotel was shut off. So we said, what do we do? One person in the group was a smart missionary. In the hotel, there is a pool of water in wash in the pool. We went to the pool and we began to wash ourselves. And as we’re playing in the pool, I noticed that on the side of the pool, there was a light that had smoke coming out of it,
Translator (13:10):
And there
Evangelist Daniel King (13:10):
Were some sparks. So very foolishly
Translator (13:18):
Swam over to investigate
Evangelist Daniel King (13:22):
The smoking light.
Translator (13:27):
When
Evangelist Daniel King (13:27):
I was looking at the light, electricity entered the
Translator (13:32):
Pool
Evangelist Daniel King (13:35):
And it shocked my
Translator (13:36):
Leg
Evangelist Daniel King (13:38):
And it scared me because you can die from electricity.
Translator (13:43):
I shot die. I pulled myself out of the pool and I began to walk away, and I was thanking God. I said, thank you, God for saving me. Thank you for saving me.
Evangelist Daniel King (14:01):
I was six steps away from the pool. Suddenly I remembered all of my friends were still
Translator (14:10):
In the pool.
Evangelist Daniel King (14:14):
I became concerned for their
Translator (14:15):
Safety. I rushed back over to them. I said, guys, get out of the pool. You stay in the pool, you’re going to die. Do you know what my friends did? They laughed at me. I said, no, get out of the pool. And I started grabbing them, them pulling them out of the pool. And finally they all got out the pool.
Evangelist Daniel King (14:49):
And thank God that one died that day. But then God spoke to me and God said, Daniel, I want you to have the same
Translator (15:02):
Passion,
Evangelist Daniel King (15:05):
Saving people from hell as you had saving your friends from the pool. You see many people, they get saved and they walk away saying, thank you God for saving me.
Translator (15:27):
How
Evangelist Daniel King (15:27):
Many of you are saved today? Thank God that you’re saved, but let’s not forget about all of the people
Translator (15:42):
Who
Evangelist Daniel King (15:43):
Are in danger
Translator (15:44):
Of dying in going to
Evangelist Daniel King (15:45):
Hell.
Translator (15:48):
So
Evangelist Daniel King (15:49):
Thank God that you are saved,
Translator (15:53):
But
Evangelist Daniel King (15:53):
Let’s not forget about the people that need to be rescued.
Translator (16:01):
I
Evangelist Daniel King (16:02):
Want to rescue as many people as I can. Are you passionate about leading people to Jesus?
Translator (16:10):
Do you
Evangelist Daniel King (16:10):
Want to rescue people from this danger of going to hell?
Translator (16:17):
Someone
Evangelist Daniel King (16:17):
Said that Christianity is like one starving man who finds bread.
Translator (16:27):
He goes and tells all the
Evangelist Daniel King (16:29):
Other starving men where
Translator (16:30):
They can
Evangelist Daniel King (16:31):
Find bread.
Translator (16:36):
And
Evangelist Daniel King (16:36):
When you
Translator (16:36):
Have Jesus, you have the bread of life. Hallelujah.
Evangelist Daniel King (16:45):
Hallelujah. I want to tell you another story. Do you like stories? Yeah. One time I went with my family to visit a cave.
Translator (17:01):
The
Evangelist Daniel King (17:01):
Cave went very far down into the ground
Translator (17:07):
And they had a path you could
Evangelist Daniel King (17:09):
Walk into the cave. So as we walked down, they told us stories about the original explorers, men and women who would explore using nothing but a tiny candle.
Translator (17:31):
When
Evangelist Daniel King (17:31):
We reach the bottom of the cave,
Translator (17:35):
Two
Evangelist Daniel King (17:35):
Kilometers under the ground.
Translator (17:39):
They
Evangelist Daniel King (17:39):
Said they wanted to show us what the dark cave was like. They asked us to sit down on a bench and then the guide walked to the light switch and the guide turned off the lights and suddenly it was dark.
Translator (18:01):
It
Evangelist Daniel King (18:02):
Was so dark I couldn’t even see my hand in front of my face.
Translator (18:09):
I
Evangelist Daniel King (18:09):
Couldn’t see the people in my group. It was dark. But then she reached into her pocket and the guy pulled out a cigarette lighter. And I thought, this cave is so dark that a small cigarette lighter will not make much
Translator (18:34):
Difference.
Evangelist Daniel King (18:39):
We were in a room about the size of this one.
Translator (18:44):
Let me
Evangelist Daniel King (18:44):
Tell you,
Translator (18:46):
When
Evangelist Daniel King (18:47):
She lit the cigarette lighter, suddenly we could see the entire room. We could see the whole cave.
Translator (19:00):
All
Evangelist Daniel King (19:00):
The people in the group,
Translator (19:03):
The cave was very dark, but all it took was one light to light up a dark cave. Some people
Evangelist Daniel King (19:20):
Have told me the nation of Thailand is very dark. I have heard that there is a lot of darkness here.
Translator (19:32):
But I want to
Evangelist Daniel King (19:33):
Tell
Translator (19:34):
You that
Evangelist Daniel King (19:36):
When it is dark,
Translator (19:37):
What all it takes is one
Evangelist Daniel King (19:41):
Light. Everyone hold up one finger like this and say one light say, I am a light in the midst of a dark world. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Matthew chapter five, verse 16. Jesus said, let your light so shine before Ben.
Translator (20:22):
See your good works in
Evangelist Daniel King (20:26):
Glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Translator (20:31):
You were called by God be a shining light.
Evangelist Daniel King (20:38):
In the midst of great darkness,
Translator (20:42):
There
Evangelist Daniel King (20:42):
Might be great darkness. But I tell you today, Jesus is a great light. Jesus is shining bright in Thailand, shining bright in your
Translator (20:58):
Life,
Evangelist Daniel King (21:02):
Light in the midst of the darkness,
Translator (21:05):
And Jesus is ready to use you.
Evangelist Daniel King (21:10):
Lift your hand and say,
Translator (21:11):
Hallelujah.
Evangelist Daniel King (21:12):
Hallelujah, hallelujah. I want to give you another illustration.
Translator (21:20):
And
Evangelist Daniel King (21:21):
For this illustration, I need some volunteers. I have chosen two young men.
Translator (21:29):
Could
Evangelist Daniel King (21:30):
The two of you come stand right here, please? Yeah. Come stand right here.
Translator (21:40):
My
Evangelist Daniel King (21:40):
Time is going. You
Translator (21:41):
Got to leave my,
Evangelist Daniel King (21:44):
What is your name please? Jay. Everyone say hello, Jay. And you are Joseph. Everyone say hello, Joseph. Hello Joseph. For this illustration. Jay and Joseph are going to represent two pastors. Both of them have been called by God to plant a church. Both of them are men of faith.
Translator (22:21):
Both of them are men who love to pray. And so Pastor Jay, you
Evangelist Daniel King (22:32):
Are a man of prayer, but there’s one difference between the two of them. Their prayer is a little bit
Translator (22:41):
Different.
Evangelist Daniel King (22:44):
And so you have just started your church, and the first thing that you pray for
Translator (22:52):
Is
Evangelist Daniel King (22:53):
Chairs for the church. I want to give you the microphone,
Translator (22:59):
Microphone,
Evangelist Daniel King (23:00):
And I want you to just say, God, give me some chairs. Pray for chairs in your church.
Translator (23:11):
Go,
Evangelist Daniel King (23:33):
Okay, I want you to run over there. Come and sit in the chair right here.
Translator (23:39):
Okay?
Evangelist Daniel King (23:41):
Now, pastor Joseph
Translator (23:43):
Adan. Joseph,
Evangelist Daniel King (23:44):
You are also praying. But there is a difference in what you are praying. Your prayer is, God, help me to lead someone to Jesus.
Translator (24:00):
Give me
Evangelist Daniel King (24:01):
A soul. Can you pray that? Okay. Pray that God would help you to lead someone to Jesus. Okay? Pastor Joseph, I want you to look at the people out here. Look for someone who looks like they need Jesus. Go find someone that needs Jesus and bring them here. Look right here. We don’t point
Translator (24:57):
Over
Evangelist Daniel King (24:57):
Here.
Translator (24:57):
Go find
Evangelist Daniel King (24:59):
Someone who needs Jesus. You must go quick because Oh, who wants to receive you? Yeah. Come. Oh, come on. Look. Let’s clap for Jesus. Look, someone is coming. Say Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Yeah. Okay, pastor Jay, now you have started your church.
Translator (25:25):
God has given
Evangelist Daniel King (25:26):
You chairs. But your second prayer request, give me a guitar in our church. We need music. So you begin to pray for a guitar.
Audience Member (25:43):
Can
Evangelist Daniel King (25:43):
You pray for a guitar?
Audience Member (25:48):
Amen.
Evangelist Daniel King (25:58):
Okay. So Pastor Joseph, Joseph, you’ve led this young man to the Lord, and you have been teaching him to also pray for people to be saved.
Translator (26:11):
We must pray for Thailand. Let I know we can pray for people to
Evangelist Daniel King (26:15):
Be saved. And so are you ready to pray? Be a short prayer for Thailand.
Audience Member 2 (26:28):
No, do it in English. Do it in English. Okay.
Evangelist Daniel King (26:31):
So dear Lord, heavenly Father, we thank you Lord for Thailand. We thank you, Lord that your
Translator (26:36):
Eye and your love is for Thailand. And we just pray, Lord, that Thailand belongs to you in name.
Evangelist Daniel King (26:49):
Now, I want each of you to go look for someone who looks like they need Jesus and grab them and bring them back here.
Translator (27:00):
Don’t
Evangelist Daniel King (27:00):
Bring just one go. Bring two up here. Bring two
Translator (27:03):
Quickly.
Evangelist Daniel King (27:03):
Somebody who needs Jesus quickly, quickly. Who needs Yes. We’ve been praying for her to be saved. Hallelujah. Who else? Yeah. Yeah. Oh, pastor Joseph is finding someone else. Yeah. Come on. Clap for Jesus these people. Hallelujah.
Translator (27:28):
Hallelujah.
Evangelist Daniel King (27:30):
And now, pastor Jay, in your church, you need a computer.
Translator (27:37):
Computer.
Evangelist Daniel King (27:38):
And so you begin to pray. God, give me computer. So God is answering his prayers.
Translator (27:57):
But this church, pastor Joseph,
Evangelist Daniel King (28:01):
He is having an all night prayer meeting. He’s saying, let’s pray for the loss to be
Translator (28:07):
Saved. Let’s do a three
Evangelist Daniel King (28:11):
Day evangelism training. Let’s do a five day evangelism training.
Translator (28:18):
Let, let’s take
Evangelist Daniel King (28:21):
The small gospel truck,
Translator (28:22):
Let
Evangelist Daniel King (28:25):
Go to the village and tell people about Jesus.
Translator (28:29):
So
Evangelist Daniel King (28:30):
Everyone is
Translator (28:31):
Praying for Thailand to be safe. Sister,
Evangelist Daniel King (28:37):
Can you pray? Pray for Thailand to be safe.
Audience Member 2 (29:20):
Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord.
Evangelist Daniel King (29:23):
Hallelujah. Wow. I can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit here in this place.
Translator (29:34):
Wow. Can you feel the Holy Spirit? Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
Evangelist Daniel King (29:40):
Sister, I love you. So beautiful. Can each of you
Translator (29:47):
Go
Evangelist Daniel King (29:47):
Look for someone who needs Jesus?
Translator (29:51):
Grab
Evangelist Daniel King (29:51):
Them and bring them here
Translator (29:54):
Quickly.
Evangelist Daniel King (29:57):
You can get one, you can get two. Yeah. The Bible says, go out into the highways in the byways.
Translator (30:12):
This
Evangelist Daniel King (30:13):
Word compel is a very strong
Translator (30:15):
Word. You’ll go and
Evangelist Daniel King (30:18):
Bring people to Jesus.
Translator (30:21):
You don’t
Evangelist Daniel King (30:22):
Just sit in church.
Translator (30:25):
You go out
Evangelist Daniel King (30:27):
And you take people and bring them to Jesus. Look, everyone is coming to Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Wow. Can we clap for Jesus? Look at all of these people. They’re finding peace in Jesus Christ.
Translator (30:53):
Look how pops.
Evangelist Daniel King (30:55):
They’re finding healing in Jesus. They’re finding salvation in Jesus.
Translator (31:01):
Let’s clap for
Evangelist Daniel King (31:02):
What Jesus is doing
Translator (31:04):
In Thailand. This is so beautiful. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
Evangelist Daniel King (31:29):
And then in one night,
Translator (31:33):
K,
Evangelist Daniel King (31:38):
Jesus returns. Pastor Jay, when Jesus returns, I’m sorry, but you cannot take your computer with you to heaven, and you cannot take your guitar with you to heaven. And Pastor Jay, when you get to heaven, you’re going to be standing in front of the throne of God.
Translator (32:34):
So
Evangelist Daniel King (32:34):
You cannot take your chair with you to
Translator (32:36):
Heaven.
Evangelist Daniel King (32:40):
You’re a man of faith. So you go to heaven, but you can’t take any of these things with you to
Translator (32:46):
Heaven.
Evangelist Daniel King (32:50):
But Pastor Joseph,
Translator (32:52):
Joseph,
Evangelist Daniel King (32:52):
Where’s Joseph, pastor Joseph,
Translator (32:55):
Joseph,
Evangelist Daniel King (32:57):
Not only do you get to go to heaven, but look at all of the people
Translator (33:07):
That
Evangelist Daniel King (33:08):
You will bring with you to heaven. The only thing you can take with
Translator (33:17):
You to heaven is people. Sometimes we pray for things. God, give me me a new house. Give me new shoes. Long time. Give me a new bicycle. But you
Evangelist Daniel King (33:37):
Cannot take the house, the bicycle with you to heaven. The only
Translator (33:43):
Thing you can take with you to heaven is people.
Evangelist Daniel King (33:51):
This is what God cares about.
Translator (33:55):
This
Evangelist Daniel King (33:55):
Is what God loves.
Translator (33:58):
God loves people, and God wants the people of Thailand to be in heaven with
Evangelist Daniel King (34:08):
Him.
Translator (34:10):
So pastors, I
Evangelist Daniel King (34:13):
Have a question to ask you. What kind of church do you want?
Translator (34:21):
Like
Evangelist Daniel King (34:21):
This or this? Tell me what do you want? Let’s pray. Dear heavenly Father, you love people and because you love people. We love people. You love us, and because you love me.
Translator (34:53):
I love people the same way that you love people. God fill my heart with compassion. Compassion for the lost. I pray for the people of Thailand. Look at the time to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Evangelist Daniel King (35:18):
Help us to care about people. Help us to bring people to Jesus. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Translator (35:31):
Amen.
Elliot Morgan recently moved his whole family to Thailand because he wants to train the church to evangelize in the unreached nations of Southeast Asia. His journey to Thailand began about 15 years ago after he read Foxes’ Book of Martyrs and felt called to reach the 10/40 window. He has been leading evangelism training camps in Thailand and the surrounding nations, focusing on teaching foundational biblical truths like Jesus as the Light of the world and the preeminence of Christ.

Evangelism Coach Daniel King (00:00):
Welcome to the Evangelism Podcast. I’m Daniel King. I’m excited about telling people about Jesus today. I have a very special guest with me, Elliot Morgan. Thank you for being on the Evangelism Podcast.
(00:12):
Thank you, Daniel for having me.
(00:14):
And so you are a graduate of the Christ for All Nations Evangelism Bootcamp, and I was one of the instructors there, and now you’ve been going and blowing and doing big things for Jesus.
Evangelist Eliot Morgan (00:27):
Yeah, yeah. Actually prior to the CFAN Evangelism Bootcamp, believe it or not, I was a pastor for about 10 years. And I like to say it jokingly to my pastor friends that the Lord liberated me and he sent me out to be fully trained as an evangelist. And that’s actually where you and I met for the first time. As you said, you were one of our instructors, which I highly, highly enjoyed your class and your teaching, but it was thereafter it when I began to work with the bootcamp that you would continue to come and I got to have more conversations with you, grab lunch with you, that I really got to hear your heart and know you. So it is an honor for me to be here. Thank you for having me.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (01:06):
Well, we are in the nation of Thailand and God has been speaking to you about Thailand, and tell me the story of how you ended up here and what God is doing.
Evangelist Eliot Morgan (01:16):
Sure. Yeah. I love Thailand. I’m glad to be here with you. We’re currently in Bangkok, but my home is Chiang Mai. It’s in about eight to nine hours north of here, one hour flight. So my journey to Thailand, I would’ve to say without exaggerating, probably began about 15 years ago. I’ve been walking with the Lord, I guess since 2005, and within a year of getting saved, somebody put a book in my hand, the Foxes Book of the Martyrs. And I don’t know if you’ve ever read that, but once you read that book, your life is never the same. When I began to read about people who were paying the ultimate price for the gospel laying down their lives for Jesus, it changed everything about the way I viewed Christianity, the world, and even my own life. And so soon after reading that book, I found out about a ministry called Voice of the Martyrs, which this ministry highlights the families of people that have laid down their lives for Jesus all over the world.
(02:14):
And as I began to read the stories of the martyrs and the persecuted nations of the world, I felt God beginning to tug me in that direction. That started about 15 years ago, and then one day God gave me a vision of the nation of Pakistan, of a great revival that he was going to send to the nation by then evangelist Daniel, I was undone. I was like, Lord, you have me here in this little city in the middle of nowhere pastoring a church, but you’re burdening my heart for these parts of the world. Well, I’ll save you the long story. By the time I ended up going through the Evangelism Bootcamp with CFAN and then coming back to work with them because I believed in the training so much, I wanted to continue to labor with them to raise up more evangelists. It was that time that I was given the invitation to lead what CFAN calls a Fire Camp, which is a one week training for evangelist.
(03:08):
I was able to lead CFAN’s very first Fire Camp in the nation of Thailand in January of 2024. It was during that training that I saw an open vision of the Lord Jesus standing in Southeast Asia, and he held his hand out to me. And it wasn’t a very forceful command, it was a loving invitation. Jesus held his hand out to me and he said, Elliot, would you come here? And that is how I ended up in Thailand because as he showed me the great harvest that is about to take place, not only in Thailand but in the whole of Southeast Asia, and then the Lord began to show me in the future how he would raise up Asian missionaries to send to the Muslim world. How could I deny that invitation? And so that is my journey to getting here. I said yes in January of 2024, and my family arrived in the nation December 28th, 2025, no, sorry, December 28th, 2024. So within the same year we were moved.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (04:07):
Wow. And so you took a step of faith, packed up your whole family. Now you’re living in Shang Mai, and your heart is to train the church in evangelism, but not just here in Thailand. You have a heart for the unreached nations. This is a very strategic place because there’s a lot of nations around. Tell me, what are you hoping that God does in this region of the world?
Evangelist Eliot Morgan (04:34):
Yeah, so early on, the Lord put the entirety of the 10/40 window on my heart. If people are not familiar with that terminology, 10 and 40 are just coordinates on the map, 10 degrees north, 40 degrees north. And in that span of territory or regions of the world, it encompasses all of North Africa, the Middle East, and all of Asia, most of Southeast Asia, I mean all of Southeast Asia for sure. God began to burden my heart for this place because when you look at it statistically, over 96% of the people in the world that have never heard the gospel, they live in the 10 40 window. So as an evangelist, as a person with a heart for the loss, I used to cry out to Jesus. Every nation needs to be saved. Every person deserves to hear the gospel, but Lord, I want to go to the places that no one’s going or that it’s very hard to go. And so I believe that Thailand is strategic because if you look at it on the map, Thailand sits in the middle of restricted
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (05:29):
Nations. Yeah, you’ve got Myanmar, you’ve got Laos, you’ve got China, you’ve got Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, all right here in this one region.
Evangelist Eliot Morgan (05:40):
Exactly. Because even though Thailand is unreached itself, it’s less than a 2% Christian nation. It is not restricted. So you can live in Thailand and freely preach the gospel, make disciples, train missionaries and evangelists, but you have easier access to these restricted nations. And what’s beautiful about what we’re finding is yes, we’re here training Thai evangelists, but we’re also working in Lao in Vietnam and Myanmar, and I know this is a further out of the way, but in Pakistan we have realized that even when times get tough or if it’s a bit too dangerous to get into a particular place, we can bring these leaders, pastors, evangelists to be trained in Chiang Mai or in Thailand in general to be sent back to their nations.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (06:28):
And so when you’re doing evangelism training, what are some of the key truths that you’re sharing?
Evangelist Eliot Morgan (06:36):
That’s a good question. And people would probably think that you dive right into evangelism, but we’ve found that you can’t do that because when we’ve come to Asia, we learned that a lot of people are, they have a real, genuine, authentic fear of Satan, of demons, of the demonic. And there’s no wonder because they’re steeped in centuries of darkness, centuries of deception. And we have found a great need to teach the principle of Jesus the light. And it’s a simple biblical principle that the light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it. But as simple as that may seem to most people, even in the West, because of our plethora of the availability of Bible studies, resources, programs here, this is a very basic teaching that we’re finding to be quite effective, that we start our evangelism trainings with establishing Jesus is the light of the world and he’s greater than all darkness in the world. And that as the believer, see, Jesus said, I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you will never have to walk in darkness. I will give you the light that leads to life. Then he looks at his disciples and he says, you are the light of the world. And so we teach this in our trainings and we begin to see light bulbs go off in the eyes and we see the people come alive like, wow, I carried the light.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (07:57):
I really love the verse in John chapter one where it says, the light shines in the darkness and the darkness shall not overcome it. It cannot overcome. It cannot. And so when the light starts shining, darkness has to flee.
Evangelist Eliot Morgan (08:11):
I mean, that is a simple truth. That is, it seems to be changing the lives of many people here because what they need to understand is the darkness is never more powerful than the light. You can walk into a completely dark room and light a small match. You could take your cell phone flashlight, the smallest light in a large dark room. The light always overcomes the darkness. Another truth that we teach in the beginning of our trainings is Jesus, the first we start with Jesus, the light, but we move on to Jesus the first. And it’s the truth about the preeminence of Christ. We teach the people that Jesus is above all, because Jesus is before all, because of the demonic oppression and the things that they face here, we want show the believers that you do not have to fear darkness. You do not have to fear the enemy, that because of Christ in you, you overcome the world.
(09:03):
And so it’s with those base teachings where we begin and then we eventually move on into what is an evangelist, the call of the evangelist. What is the gospel of Jesus Christ? Give them a simple understanding of the gospel. Then we go into the practical teachings of how to share the gospel with Buddhists for in a Muslim nation, how to share the gospel with Muslims. And then we teach personal responsibility of evangelism that if you’re going to reach a soul with the gospel, that you have to be willing from the onset from the very beginning to take personal responsibility for that new baby that you born, that you helped birth into the kingdom of God. And so we don’t have it all figured out. Obviously we don’t have all the answers, but what we’re beginning to see is that what God is entrusting to us. It’s working.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (09:50):
That’s so amazing. Well, what is your website? If someone wants to connect with you, support your ministry, how can they find out more about you?
Evangelist Eliot Morgan (09:58):
Yeah, so our ministry is called Lion Face Ministries International, and the website is lion face ministries.com. And if you go there, there’s limited, we post limited things because of the nature of where we work and what we do. We can’t publicize much. But it gives you the vision of the ministry and how you can connect with us. You can subscribe to the email newsletters and if God should move upon anyone’s heart to sow into what we’re doing, there are ways to give listed on the homepage.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (10:25):
That’s awesome. We’re in the nation of Thailand this week, and we’re launching the everyone Thailand vision. And the goal is to reach everyone in Thailand with the gospel of Jesus Christ, that every single person in this nation, they have the right to hear the gospel at least once in their lifetime. And it’s a massive nation. 70 million people, only one or 2% Christian, about 97% Buddhist, but such a beautiful people, such a wonderful people. What do you see God doing here in Thailand, especially among, give me some testimonies from that first fire camp that you helped lead. I saw the pictures of it, and it’s just so beautiful. So many young people that were so excited about evangelism. Share with me some of the testimonies that have come out of that first fire
Evangelist Eliot Morgan (11:18):
Camp. In our evangelism trainings, one strong push, we always teach about the baptism and the Holy Spirit and the baptism of fire because we understand, if you look at the New Testament, when the Holy Spirit came upon people, they became a new person, a different person. The same Peter who denied Jesus Christ three times. When he received the power of the Holy Spirit, he preached boldly in front of 3000. And so with that illustration, we see these Thai people, even the Burmese people were at our training, they come in and quite naturally, they’re quiet people. They’re some timid, some just they’re very honoring culture. So they come and then here we come and we teach them the boldness of the Holy Spirit and the power that the gospel carries. We watch these students come in one way, and then when we train them on how to preach the simple gospel, the perfect life of Jesus, his death, burial on resurrection, and we show them that all of heaven will back the words that they say.
(12:18):
When they preach the truth, we take them into the streets. And these sometimes very small people, timid, quiet, become as bold as lions. Now, the Bible says, the righteous are as bold as lion. And the greatest testimony I can give you is I watch them come in one way. They leave the training another, they go out and they preach the gospel with power, seeing signs, wonders, and miracles, and they’re bold and they’re not afraid of the enemy. And to me, that’s the greatest testimony of what God is doing because he really changes them and he shows them that you can be effective if you’d be willing to go out and be obedient.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (12:55):
Wow. Well, I so admire your faith, especially moving your family here. What has that experience been like for your family?
Evangelist Eliot Morgan (13:04):
Yeah, I would like to say that it was very easy with no problems, but let’s face it, anyone, if you grow up in a particular nation your whole life, and that’s all your culture’s, all your family’s there, you’re comfortable, things are convenient. The Bible gives a call to leave all of those things. And I’ve preached it for years, honestly meaning it in my heart. But it became another thing when we had to live it.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (13:30):
It’s
Evangelist Eliot Morgan (13:31):
Almost like Jesus was saying, you’ve been preaching this. You’ve been provoking others to follow me radically. Now, Elliot, will you do it? So when we did it, I have to say that we learned a lot more about the cost of following Christ. I learned a lot more about faith because I had to leave a lot of things behind and I had to trust Jesus for finances in levels or amounts that I never had to trust in before. But I can tell you now that we’re here, I look back and we’ve lacked nothing. Everything that we needed to happen, the Lord worked it out. I mean, moving to another nation, sometimes we romanticize the ministry, but we forget the very practical things. You’re leaving your home country. You have to get a visa to live in another nation for four people, me, my wife, and my two daughters, and Thailand is one of the hardest places to get a visa, and none of us have the same type of visa.
(14:20):
So we had to figure that out. We moved to a country where we do not speak the language, and we don’t even know the city. We had to find a house, but the Lord provided a home. We had to find an international school for our daughters to attend. The Lord did that. How do you buy a vehicle in another country? How do you learn to drive on the opposite side of the road? Where do you grocery shop? So I’m sharing these things. There are people that may hear this interview that have a call to relocate to another nation, and it’s okay to have those questions, and it’s okay to face the reality that it’s not to be easy, but I want to encourage people that if God is calling you to do it, God really will provide. Now, here we are, we have only arrived a little more than a month ago, but we have a home.
(15:04):
We have all of our visas. When I arrived back in Chang May on Monday, I’m purchasing my first vehicle in another country. All of our needs are taken care of. So I can say we learned faith like never before. We learned to trust Jesus like never before. But we also learned of the great support that the church gives. We have many friends in the states that support what we’re doing. We have many churches that support us, and we’ve really seen the body of Christ rally around us to lift us up. And that now more than ever before in my nearly 20 years of walking with Jesus, more than 15 years of ministry, I’ve learned the importance of community and that you can’t do this alone.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (15:44):
That’s awesome. Well, let’s finish by praying for this entire region of Asia. Let’s agree together that there would be a revival fire that would come and sweep across Southeast Asia.
Evangelist Eliot Morgan (15:58):
Absolutely. Well, heavenly Father, we come to you and we just want to thank you for what you’re doing here, not only in Thailand, but in the entirety of Southeast Asia. Jesus, this is the one thing that we know that when you set your eyes on a people or on a nation, that you will fulfill your purposes. Lord, we’re so grateful that you’re allowing us to be a part of what you’re doing here. Jesus. We know that without unity, without being in one heart, with one mind, in one accord and in one spirit, the work will be difficult. But Jesus, I see that you’re raising up a mighty army to link arms and walk together from the west and from the east, different ministries, different tribes, different tongues, different people are coming together in one heart to see you save this region. Father, we pray in Jesus’ name that you would continue to build unity amongst the brethren and that you would continue to give the Thai people, the Thai pastors and leaders, and those that belong to the body of Christ in this nation, give them boldness, give them favor, provide all that they need as they continue to push forth in this nation.
(17:02):
And Lord, we pray that the revival that breaks forth in this nation will spill over into the nation’s bordering to Thailand, bordering Thailand, and even to the ends of the earth. Lord, we love you and we thank you, and we know that this will be done in Jesus’ name.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (17:16):
Amen.
Evangelist Eliot Morgan (17:17):
Amen.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (17:17):
Thank you for being on the Evangelism podcast.
Evangelist Eliot Morgan (17:19):
Thank you, brother. What an honor.
Simon Chen has a heart to train evangelists in Asia. He lives in Taiwan and leads Asia Revival Ministry, which aims to train and equip Chinese evangelists to prepare for a “great harvest” in China and other Chinese-speaking nations. Today on the Evangelism Podcast we discuss what God did on one of his recent outreaches in Japan. We talk about the cultural differences in Asia compared to other regions of the world . In Asia people are more reserved and shy about evangelism and it is important to train them and to restore their identity in Christ.

Welcome to the Evangelism Podcast. I’m Daniel King. I’m excited about telling people about Jesus today. I have a very special guest with me, Simon Chen. Welcome to the Evangelism Podcast.
Evangelist Simon Chen (00:12):
Thank you, Daniel. It is an honor to be here today.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (00:14):
So you are a graduate of the Christ for All Nations Evangelism Bootcamp, and I was one of the instructors there, and you have a heart for Asia. Tell me a little bit about your background and what you’re doing for Jesus here in Asia.
Evangelist Simon Chen (00:29):
Amen. I am Simon Chen. I’m from Taiwan, and our ministry is called Asia Revival Ministry. About four years ago I was in bootcamp and you were my instructor. I was really blessed by your coaching and your teaching, and then it was such a great anointing on me. We were in Tanzania, as I remember the last week of the training in Africa. God spoke to me about there’s going to be a revival in Asia. So he didn’t want me to stay in Africa. He told me, son, bring back this fire evangelist, fire back to Asia. Asia needs evangelist because people might not know, usually in the Christian circle in Asia, like in the church we have apostle prophet, lots of teachers, lots of pastors, but we don’t have evangelists.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (01:31):
Yeah, I’m a student of evangelism and I’ve studied what God has done in many different parts of the world. And if you look at American history, there’s been great evangelists. There are great evangelists that God has raised up in Africa from Europe, has great evangelists. And I started to look who are the great evangelists here are in Asia. And David Young Cho, who pastored the largest church of the world in South Korea. He was also a good evangelist. He did lots of evangelism. But I haven’t found many names of evangelists. And I think it’s time for God to raise the gift of the evangelist here in Asia.
Evangelist Simon Chen (02:11):
Amen. Because God spoke to me about the end time revival is going to take place in Asia and then it’s going to connect it to the soul harvest. But in order to have a soul harvest of soul, we need evangelists. We can’t have, it is impossible to have a harvest without evangelists. So our mission in Taiwan, we are based in Taiwan, but we are focused in Chinese speaking nations, and our mission is to train Chinese evangelists, prepare for the great harvest in China.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (02:46):
That’s awesome. Well, I have a great love for the Chinese people. My wife is full ethnic Chinese, and so both my kids are half Caucasian, half Chinese, and so we love Chinese. God has a great plan for the people of China that are all over Asia here. So tell me some of what you’ve been doing in Taiwan in Japan recently, and now we’re in Thailand right now. What have you seen God do?
Evangelist Simon Chen (03:17):
Yeah, over the past four years, God has been taking us to different countries across Asia. And our ministry mainly is to have a purpose, to do the training for evangelists. We also have a school, we have a gathering.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (03:41):
It’s so beautiful what you’re doing. I so love what God is doing through you, through your ministry. It’s so beautiful. You were sharing yesterday in the session upstairs about Japan and you went out on the streets of Japan and trained Japanese believers to go out
Evangelist Simon Chen (04:01):
And
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (04:02):
Saw God do great miracles. What did you see happen?
Evangelist Simon Chen (04:06):
Yeah, it was amazing because when God spoke to me about a nation, what I do is I start praying about the nation
(04:15):
And then the door will open. So for example, in Japan, I’ve been praying for Japan for two months, three months. And then there will be a guy come up to me, Simon, do you have a heart for Japan? I’m like, I’ve been praying for Japan for three months. Of course. He say, would you like to go to Japan with me, a minister? I said, definitely. So I went to Japan with him, and then he connected with me, a local Japanese church with me. And then praise God, I get to minister in one session. And one of the blind eyes, women, her eye got open. She was completely healed. And then people was amazed by what Jesus has done to
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (04:59):
Her.
Evangelist Simon Chen (04:59):
And the message was sending out to the Japanese churches. So the last two days when we host the revival conference, surprisingly not in the beginning, we thought mostly will be Chinese people show up. But instead, two thirds of the crowd are Japanese people. And it was amazing because people, they were hungry for Jesus. They’re hungry for the power of the Holy Spirit, but they don’t have access to it. And then of course, I know it is God’s will and it’s time for Japan. So we just happen to be in the right moment. Be there. Yeah.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (05:40):
Amen. What is your website, if someone wants to find out more about your ministry, what God is doing here in Asia, how can they find out more information about you? Maybe someone will want to support you and help you to train evangelists.
Evangelist Simon Chen (05:56):
Right. Thank you very much. My website is
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (06:05):
Asia revival.org. And you’re also on Facebook?
Evangelist Simon Chen (06:08):
Yeah, Facebook if you want to on Facebook, you can look up Asia Revival Ministry and also YouTube as well. Yes.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (06:17):
Wow. Okay. Share with me some testimonies of what you’ve seen happen as you’ve taken Asian believers out to witness. Because I think Asia is very different from Africa, like in Africa and some nations, there’s great boldness to speak and that’s not hard for them. But here in Asia there’s a different culture. And so talk to me about Asian culture and what it means to be an Asian and to witness.
Evangelist Simon Chen (06:49):
Yeah. I think the culture, there’s a big difference. Asian people are more reserved, they’re more shy. So just in order to encourage them to step out of the war of the church, to share gospel, it feels like to them it’s impossible. But so in our course, we mainly, first thing we have to do is to restore their identity in Christ. They didn’t know it’s not about us. It’s about Jesus and didn’t know sharing Jesus. There’s not shame about gospel. There’s nothing to be shared about gospel. And as long as you can bully, proclaim gospel, proclaim Jesus, the Holy Spirit will take place. You’ll see the miracle. So we train our student in that way. When they start in the beginning, they test it, they try, but they see the results. So they become, after years of training, they become really bold for proclaimed gospel.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (07:55):
How did you become bold to proclaim the gospel?
Evangelist Simon Chen (07:58):
I’m still shy, but God is, his strengths manifest in our weakness. To be honest, I’m not a really good English speaking person. Oh, your English is very, but I’m trying because I know I’m doing this for Jesus, and I believe that we are in one spirit. As long as we show our sincerity and our for Jesus, people can sense it. Again, it’s not about me, it’s about our king.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (08:34):
Amen. Yeah. Well, you are doing such a great job. I love your heart, and I believe that God wants to do something amazing here in Asia. There is such a huge harvest field. Jesus said, behold, the fields are ready for harvest. And then he told us, he said, pray that the Lord would send forth laborers into the harvest field. And I believe that God will raise up laborers to come work in the harvest fields of Asia.
Evangelist Simon Chen (09:01):
Amen.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (09:02):
And I believe that we are going to see the greatest harvest of souls in history over the next few years. And it will come from here in Asia. It must That’s where all the population
Evangelist Simon Chen (09:11):
Is. Hallelujah. Yes, we have in Asia, we have more than three billions unsafe souls. And there are 70% of population in Asia haven’t heard of gospel. People might be amazed in Western people, they might think about, it’s impossible. How can you have not heard of N Jesus?
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (09:32):
But
Evangelist Simon Chen (09:32):
It’s real. If you go into Middle East, if you go inside of China, some deep place in China, people have never heard of Jesus before. So when we go to those place, we share Jesus. They are touched. It’s like in the Book of Acts, Paul has called to share the gospel to the unreached people, and that’s our calling as well.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (09:57):
Amen. Well, let’s finish by praying for Asia.
Evangelist Simon Chen (10:00):
Amen.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (10:01):
Would you pray that God would pour out his spirit upon this entire region of Asia?
Evangelist Simon Chen (10:07):
Amen. Father God, we just thank you for this podcast meeting. Lord, we just ask you in this special moment, we know the revival is coming to Asia. Lord, we just ask you, pull out your Holy Spirit, your spirit among old flesh. Lord I, we declare it is time to raise up the army for Jesus. Lord, it’s time for people to awakening. It’s time for people to hear your name and give your life to you. Lord, we just want to honor you, and we pray that Jesus, your name will be lifted high and you’ll be glorified. In Jesus’ name we pray.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (10:47):
Amen.
Evangelist Simon Chen (10:47):
Amen.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (10:48):
Praise the Lord. Thank you for being on the Evangelism podcast.
Evangelist Simon Chen (10:51):
Thank you. Thank you so much. Yeah.
In this episode of the Evangelism Podcast, Daniel King interviews Manop Moonsri from Thailand about the International Gospel Music Festival. Manop explains that the festival started in 2014 and aims to reach young people in Thailand and other countries through music. The festival takes place in shopping malls, attracting a broad audience, including those who may not attend traditional evangelistic crusades. Manop believes that music is a powerful tool for reaching young people because almost everyone listens to music. We talk about the opportunities and restrictions in different countries, such as Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines.

Welcome to the Evangelism Podcast. I’m Daniel King and I’m excited about telling people about Jesus. Today I have a very special guest with me, Manop from Thailand. Thank you for joining the Evangelism Podcast.
Manop (00:12):
Yeah, and it’s good to be on your TV program.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (00:20):
We are in the nation of Cambodia right now. Yesterday we were in Laos, and then a few days ago we were in Thailand. And in each place we are doing a international gospel music festival, which is a vision that God has given you to help reach people for Jesus. So tell me a little bit, what is the International Gospel Music Festival?
Manop (00:47):
Yeah. International Gospel Music Festival started in Ette in 2014, but before that I already do a lot of music festival with different name. But then in puke I invite more bands from international, from different countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, America, and NAMI Beer and a few other countries. So from Pke, I felt that this is a good method to reach out to the people in Thailand and other countries and the location that we choose with the Pke or in Bangkok or in Chiang Mai or in other places we use shopping mall because in the shopping mall there are many groups of people come to shopping. And the target, I mean of course the main target are the young generation. And I feel that with different bands and different messages can reach out to a broad group of people that some of them doesn’t go to the traditional kind of crusade or evangelistic crusade, but for the music festival, they are okay to listen and then to participate.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (02:08):
And so I really like this strategy. You’re taking the music festival into the mall, which is an attraction point for the entire city. Everyone knows where it is. Everyone comes there for shopping, and you are deliberately attracting young people who like music. And have you had some pushback from maybe older church members, more traditional members? What does the church think about this unique method of reaching?
Manop (02:41):
In some city, the leaders are very open and they understand the young generation, but in some city, they’re still not quite understand why we do what we do. And a lot of them feel that it’s wasting of time. But after we did one festival in that city, then they start to see that in the evangelist thing, we lost the generation between 15 years old and 25. But all these people, they come for our festival first, leaders start to see the important of having a music festival reaching out to this group of people.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (03:24):
Why do you think music is such an important tool for reaching young people?
Manop (03:30):
Almost every one of them will listen to music, whether pop or rock or reggae or hip hop or whatever style. International gospel music festival is not a gospel in a type of music, but it’s wider, a broader and all kinds of musics that in this world I can say.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (03:54):
Now you have been the go-to person in this part of Asia for production. You’ve helped Franklin Graham with some of his production. You’ve been with Dr. Billy Wilson from Empowered 21, and you have technical expertise. How did you get started in this area of production?
Manop (04:19):
Actually, I was study in technical college before I went to Bible school in Singapore. And after that I went to join YWAM and then come back to Thailand to start church planting. But while we are doing a lot of outreaches, I felt that we need a better system to do a better job for outdoor. So in 2000, in about 2001, I started to get into a more production because at that time I felt God is calling me out to the marketplace. So starting from a full-time pastor, get into a 10 making, we call business for the kingdom. And I started the production company to help with a group organization or churches that need support for production and keep upgrading our system until we become a distributor for speakers brand am mate from Spain. And we also doing some secular job just to get enough fun to continue our ministry. That’s how I started.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (05:38):
But really the core of what your heart is is evangelism.
Manop (05:44):
Yes.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (05:45):
How do you merge the music with evangelism
Manop (05:53):
In a traditional way of evangelistic meeting? We just have worship preaching and then other call. And a lot of people, I mean for some people I say 15 to 25, they don’t want to participate much in that kind of a traditional crusade. So in the secular music festival, in Tale or in Asia, they like to have lots of bands line up maybe 10 to 12 bands, and it’s for the long period. So I get the same idea and I add the messages or the testimony or the preaching in between the band so that the people don’t feel like, oh, I’m come here just to listen to the speaker speak about what they want to speak about their God or something like that. But the difference is when the band, when they’re singers, the singers that they shouting their testimony or even telling the gospel, they don’t feel like, oh, I got to listen to this speaker. Or even you have another speaker come in between the band. They still don’t have the kind of, what do you call it? They still feel easy to listen to it because they expect to listen to the band after these speakers. So in between 10 to 15 minutes we slot in speakers.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (07:31):
So instead of having a one hour preacher, you do music and then 10 minutes testimony, then music, then a little message, and then music, and then give people a chance to respond.
Manop (07:45):
So we break the message messages into small, smaller one in between the band. In a shopping mall, there are, if we do like six, for example, 6:00 PM or 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM there’s a lot of people that walk in and out. They might sit for the band that they like for one hour and they might walk away. So every hour there’s a new audience come in to the mall. So having a speaker speak 10 to 15 minutes, it is a slot. Releasing out to the new people is not the same audience for the whole day.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (08:22):
And throughout the day you’ll have maybe hundreds, even thousands of people come through and hear the music, even if they’re not all there at one time, they’re passing through. And sometimes the music fills the entire mall. Even the people who are shopping on the other side of the mall, they hear what is happening
Manop (08:43):
In some of the mall, if the light is banned, they’ll stop for maybe one hour and inspect the whole area. So it depend on the band as well.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (08:59):
Yeah. Let’s talk about Asia. There are millions of people in this part of Asia and it’s a huge harvest field. There’s lots of people that need Jesus. What do you think God wants to do here in Asia over the next 10 years?
Manop (09:21):
I mean, from my own opinion, I believe that the young generation, we come to know Christ more because their heart is open. And I can see, and even in my local church, the majority of people in my church are 80% of young generation. So I believe that God is bringing in the young generation to the churches and we have to go out and take them in, not waiting in a church for them to come in. So what I do is, apart from the music festival that I do, I also have a youth festival, one day festival where we bring in leaders and youth to come for the training, stir them up, and then send them out the coming February, we have one in Bangkok. And after the one day, one full day, the training or the festival, we will send them out to do prison ministries to do a smaller festival in other cities.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (10:31):
And I heard you’re actually bringing in Planet Shakers with Russell Evans?
Manop (10:36):
Yes. Planet Shakers have been coming to Thailand almost every year before Covid.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (10:42):
And so people here love them,
Manop (10:45):
People like the band. So that one day on the 20th of February, we’ll have something from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM and then the last session will be Planet Shake concert.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (10:59):
Wow. I believe that will have a big impact.
Manop (11:03):
Amen.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (11:04):
How did you first come to know Christ? What’s your testimony? And then how did you develop a heart for ministry? Okay,
Manop (11:13):
I was grown up in the Buddhist family and when I was 12 years old, I got sponsors from World Vision because my family cannot help me to study. So World Vision adopt me and I go to church. So I accepted a lot during my time in with World Vision.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (11:43):
And then you went to ywam
Manop (11:45):
And after World Vision I graduated from high school and then I went to YWAM in Penang. Yeah.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (11:55):
Are there opportunities for evangelists to come to Asia and to work here? Would you invite people to come?
Manop (12:05):
Yes. So there’s evangelists, it’s depend on their ki. So if they do a smaller group or big festival or music, they’re most welcome to join us in our festival in each month.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (12:25):
Wonderful. Your vision ultimately is to be doing festivals every month throughout different parts of Asia or
Manop (12:36):
Yes, hopefully. But to prepare for that is take a little bit of time. So I do it in different country and each country we network with a local church and with the people that have the same heart and then they do all the grow population and we will go in for three days festival and then move to another country.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (12:56):
Let’s talk about the unique challenges in different countries. Done a lot in a bunch, and every country has opportunities and every country also has restrictions. So we’ll start with Thailand, the country that you’re from, what is the opportunity and what type of restrictions are there
Manop (13:16):
In Thailand? There’s a lot of opportunity. For example, the mall now, they understand what we do and they open anytime for us to go in. So the problem is we don’t have enough people or enough resources to do all the shopping mall in other cities.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (13:36):
And you’d like to do many different cities.
Manop (13:40):
I like to partner with the local church. So if the local church ready to accept us, we will go in and help them to prepare and continue. Because if I go to the city where there’s no use as well, so I go to the church, to the city where the church are ready to do the follow-up after our event.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (14:03):
Now, a few years ago you were doing stuff in Myanmar? Yes. Now there’s been a change in government there. Is it possible to do something in Myanmar even
Manop (14:11):
Now? We can go back anytime, yeah. Okay. Because we are not having problem with the soldiers or any politics in Myanmar.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (14:20):
And we were just in Laos and they gave us some guidelines on what could be done there. But yet they still allowed the music festival.
Manop (14:31):
The music festival there. They’re still allowed. Yeah.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (14:34):
Now we are here in Cambodia. We’re going to see tomorrow night. What
Manop (14:41):
In Cambodia? If you get a permit from the local provincial or the mayor, you are fine to do it. Yeah.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (14:49):
And what about Vietnam?
Manop (14:52):
Vietnam, we working with local church and they apply for their own permit. So Vietnam is another country that is starting to open more for the gospel
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (15:05):
And Franklin Graham was just there and had a tremendous event. Just thousands of people came and it would be really wonderful to see God open up the door. Now China, have you ever gone to China is probably
Manop (15:20):
China. There’s a lot of underground churches that we network with, but we haven’t done any music festival there yet.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (15:29):
What about Malaysia?
Manop (15:31):
Malaysia? We can go anytime.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (15:33):
And have you done work in Singapore or Indonesia?
Manop (15:37):
We did Philippines, Malaysia,
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (15:41):
Philippines. It is totally open. Yeah. You can do anything? Yes. Wow. Well, I really believe that God’s eye is on Asia and that we are going to see a great harvest of souls come into the kingdom of God throughout all of Asia. And I think God is also going to raise up powerful Asian evangelists like you. Amen. Who have a heart to reach this part of the world for Jesus.
Manop (16:07):
Praise God.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (16:08):

Evangelism Podcast Host (00:37):
Welcome to the Evangelism Podcast with Dr. Daniel King, where Daniel interviews full-time evangelists, pastors, missionaries, and normal everyday Christians to discover how they share their faith, their powerful testimonies, and amazing stories that will inspire you to reach people with the good news. And now here’s your host, missionary, and evangelist Daniel King. Welcome
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (01:01):
To the Evangelism Podcast. I’m Daniel King and I’m excited about telling people about Jesus today. Have a very special guest with me, Roman Nche. Thank you so much for being on the Evangelism Podcast.
Roman Nechay (01:12):
Thank you so much, Daniel. I’m glad to be here.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (01:15):
So you were a student at Christ for All Nations Evangelism Bootcamp, and I was one of the teachers, and then we were together over in Tanzania, and you came to me and said, is there anything that I could do to serve King Ministries? And a few months later you came over here and you spent several days with me just helping me to edit the videos for my School of Apologetics. And you put a lot of work into that. And now thousands and thousands of atheists have watched those videos and many of them have made very negative comments. They have said that this Daniel King guy is an idiot. He doesn’t know what he is talking about, but the amazing thing is that they’re listening to the gospel from those videos that you edited. So thank you for doing that.
Roman Nechay (02:06):
My pleasure. I’m just glad to be that part of that experience. And man, this is amazing that what you’re doing is you’re bringing the light of Jesus Christ to the atheist. Not everybody can do that, and not everybody is able, like, capable of bringing the gospel that way. So thank you so much Daniel.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (02:21):
And so last time that you were here, you were just about ready to go on an adventure to go to different nations around the world and do youth crusades. And now here we are, we’re a year later, and I want to get a report. What has God been doing?
Roman Nechay (02:40):
Amen. So last year around in the beginning of the year, around January 2nd, I left out to Rwanda. And Rwanda. We got to preach there for about two two months, and we saw many amazing things happen. So we mostly focused on youth and teenagers. And I remember just one instance where we were in a church and we got to preach on a Sunday morning to about a thousand youth. And then we started taking testimonies. And one gentleman, he came out and he testified that his shortsightedness was healed and in front of all, all his friends, I wanted to check that if, if it was true or not. So I took my Bible, I flipped it open, and I asked him, if before when you had the shortsightedness, would you be able to see this far out? And he said, no, I wouldn’t. And I said, okay, let’s test out your vision.
(03:32):
Now what does it say? And he read exactly from the Bible at a distance where he couldn’t do it before and the whole crowd exploded. They just started shouting and praising the Lord because they saw what Jesus has done. And his, his life was a miracle. So his eyes were completely restored and Jesus had done that. And of course there’s many other instances, for example, where in Rwanda there’s a gentleman who he was he was of a different religion, but afterwards he experienced the presence of the Holy Spirit so strongly that you can see in her his eyes, he was almost tearing up. He was saying, wow, I felt the power of God. I felt something on the inside of me. And now I’m a different, a different man. I’m a different person today because of what Jesus has done for me. And there was so many other miracles. It was an amazing time, Daniel.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (04:21):
Well, Jesus is wonderful, and Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever the same Jesus that healed people 2000 years ago can heal people in Rwanda. And so you were part of a Christ for all nations team there in Rwanda doing youth crusades. And I heard phenomenal reports about what God had done. And, and, and so what were some of the results? How many people did the team minister to during the ministry there in Rwanda?
Roman Nechay (04:49):
So collectively in the year 2022, Christ for all nations has seen over 1 million decisions for Christ in the, in the country of Rwanda. We literally hit so many people. I mean, Daniel Rwanda itself has about 12 million population where we hit over a million and a half population and over a million decisions for Christ. We hit one 10th of that country for Jesus Christ. So that was a phenomenal just feat with all the evangelists. And of course, it wasn’t just me on the ground and just people. There was, I think, you know, 20, 30, 40 evangelists that came and went in just that period of three months in the beginning of the year and the last two weeks in December.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (05:30):
What a great victory. I mean, one outta every 10 to actually pray a prayer of salvation and come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I I pray that we would see revivals like that happen in nations all over the world. Okay, so you were in Rwanda, but you also got to visit some other places. Where where else did you go?
Roman Nechay (05:51):
So total of seven Nations in 2022. So Rwanda, Uganda, Ivory Coast, Ghana, and then I hopped over to Asia in the middle of the year when I got to minister in south country of Bangladesh. So, and then I got to minister in Thailand and Cambodia. So all of those countries I got to visit last year. So
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (06:11):
Let’s talk a little bit about Asia versus Africa. The cultures are very different and the people are very different. In Africa, I think you can go and all the kids will run up to you and they will scream and they’re super excited. And then in Asia they might be more reserved and sit very quietly. What, what were some of the, the differences that you saw in administering in Asia versus Africa?
Roman Nechay (06:38):
Man, definitely what you’re saying is the children in Asia are so much more reserved than compared to Africa. I mean, in Africa, let’s say, especially in West Africa, would just walk through, you know, the town and kids are screaming, they’re touch, trying to touch you, they’re trying to, you know, like touch your skin and all these kids are all around you. In Asia, they’re a little bit more shy, so they just wanna first see, okay, who is this foreigner? What are, what are they doing here? And so on. And some of the culture differences, as I told you earlier, you know, in Thailand it’s not good to touch somebody’s head like that’s, that’s wrong, that’s disrespectful. And I remember one of our evangelist friends came from Russia. He’s just laying hands on these kids as in Africa, and he didn’t know this. And so we had to, we had to tell him, Hey, like we can’t lay hands and just, and kids and expect, so that’s kind of rude. So we had to explain that to them and we were learning so much on the way, like in, in Asia, just about the culture and everything. Yeah.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (07:36):
So after this, this full year of ministry, I know that you kept careful track of all the people that you ministered to and the people that prayed with you for salvation. Give me the final numbers and statistics from the, the full year of ministry that you got to do.
Roman Nechay (07:50):
Yeah, so I got to preach over 1000 times in the whole year of 2022. I got to see over 300,000 youth face-to-face that I got to speak to about Christ with. And then over 200,000 decisions for Christ in one year of ministry. So praise God for that.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (08:09):
What an amazing victory just to have the opportunity to, to preach a thousand times. I mean, I, if you think about a, a pastor preaching once every Sunday morning, once every Wednesday night, you know, that would be a hundred times in a year. He would have to go 10 years to preach a thousand times. And here you got to go, you preached over a thousand times. So you basically got 10 years of experience stuffed into one year. And then to have the opportunity to speak to so many people and to see so many people give their lives to Jesus. I mean, there’s some ministries that they may see a few hundred people come to Jesus in a year, and you had over 200,000. So I would say this is a, a major victory. What a tremendous opportunity that, that God gave you. And I I really celebrate with you the harvest and thank you. And it’s, it’s neat seeing you this time versus last time we were together because last time you, you had big vision and he, I feel like God’s calling me to do this and I want to do that. Well, now you come back as an experienced, a very mature minister because now you’ve gone and done it. It’s not just talk in rhetoric. You know what it takes to actually lead thousands of people to Jesus.
Roman Nechay (09:33):
Amen. And what’s also wonderful, Daniel, is not that these people just heard the gospel, but they’re actually being discipled in the process. So a few weeks ago I got a report that in Thailand, they’re out there again visiting these same places where we preached the gospel and they’re bringing, they brought the, the Christmas story to the children. So for example, they would show the video of Jesus being born and coming into this earth, dying and raising from the dead. They, they’re talking, you know, they’re preaching to them, they’re showing videos, they’re playing games with them. So, and also same thing in Uganda. There’s many people, or there’s, there’s some pastors and leaders that are visiting these places. They’re doing bible study with them. I got pictures of kids, you know, open with the Bible open studying the word of God. And so this is not just us preaching one time and leaving forever, but there’s people who are following up with these children, that these children get to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and they get to be mature Christians.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (10:28):
Wow. What a tremendous blessing that is. And so Roman, let’s imagine that you’re in Rwanda, you are doing a youth crusade, and in front of you it are thousands maybe a a thousand or 1500 young people, and you have the opportunity to present the gospel to them. What does that sound like? Are you there with a suit and a tie? You have your you know you’re starting in Leviticus. What, what, what, what do you tell these kids to capture their attention and, and present the gospel to them?
Roman Nechay (11:04):
Well, first of all we try to have the African attire or wherever we are. If it’s the Asian culture, we try to have the Asian attire. So we try to be very presentable. And you know, we try to match what, what they’re wearing. That’s one thing. And another thing, before I even start preaching, you know there’s different stories or d there’s different ways that we present the gospel depends. The, the instance, it depends on the age, it depends on the, on the place where we’re preaching at. But this is how something would go. So,
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (11:32):
So, so why are you using stories to communicate to young people?
Roman Nechay (11:38):
Well, I mean, Jesus used parables all the time. Jesus used the parables of the, of the, of the sower, going out to sow the seed. Jesus always communicated with parables because we can imagine these things, and then we connect these stories into the gospel because that’s way Jesus did it. And again, the gospel is an illustration. Jesus, he died on the cross. Jesus rose from the dead. We see that mentally. We can imagine that. And then we communicate that into our own lives. So this is why we use stories. Another reason why we use stories is because that grabs the tension of the children. You know, we don’t want to just rebuke them and say, you must repent and you must believe the gospel. They don’t understand that. So to grasp their attention, we use stories in the beginning. So they, they’re interested, they maybe they laugh a little bit, and then all of a sudden we go into the gospel.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (12:26):
That’s awesome. Alright, well give us a story. How are you presenting the gospel to this group of young people?
Roman Nechay (12:32):
Once upon a time, there’s this one little boy, he’s walking down the street and all of a sudden he gets this idea, he wants to build a small toy wooden boat. And so he goes to the shop and he, all of a sudden he starts building this boat, and he built it, and it was so beautiful, and he decided to go and take it out for a test. So he ran down to the river, he put this boat into the river, and this boat sailed perfectly. The boy’s so happy, he’s so rejoicing, but suddenly there’s this windstorm that just blows in out of nowhere, and it takes his boat far, far away from the boy. And the boat gets lost. And the boy became so sad, he started crying. But the next day, the boy is walking through the town and all of a sudden the boy spots his own boat in the window of a shop.
(13:17):
The boy, he runs into the shop and says to the shopkeeper, shopkeeper, that’s my boat. I made it. But the shop co keeper says, little boy, somebody gave me that boat yesterday. If you want the boat, you must buy back from me. So the boy, he was determined to buy back the boat. The boy ran back home and he worked hard for three days. He helped his parents, he washed windows, he cleaned the toilets, he did everything possible to get enough money to buy that boat back. So the boy ran back to the store, and the boy paid for the boat and ran out with the boat. So happy. Then suddenly the boy lifted the boat behind the air and said, little boat, little boat. You are twice mine. First I made you, and second I bought you back. And this story relates to the gospel.
(14:01):
We are like the boat, and God is like the boy. God created us in his image and likeness. God put us here on this earth for a reason. God made us. But then suddenly we, because of sin, were separated from God. We all disobeyed God. And we fell short of the glory of God, meaning that we were not perfect and we made mistakes in our life. But then God, he liked the boy, purchased us by sending his son Jesus Christ into this world to pay for our sin. Jesus, he died on the cross. Jesus paid with his own blood. Jesus didn’t pay with gold or silver or with money or with dollars. Jesus paid with his blood dying on the cross for us. So he substituted that, that sin in our place. And then Jesus overcame death. Jesus overcame sin, and Jesus rose from the dead. And today is alive. And I have the kids repeat, say, Jesus is alive, and they say, Jesus is alive.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (14:55):
Jesus is
Roman Nechay (14:56):
Alive. Amen. And Jesus is the only way to God. So what we must do is we must turn from our shameful acts, from our sins, and we must, must turn to the honor and honor of Jesus. We must turn to Christ himself. And we must say no to all our sins if we lie, cheated, stolen, if we dishonor parents or our friends, if we, if we fo if we’re angry, we must turn away from all those things and follow Jesus with our whole heart. And then we’ll be saved. So then I tell all the children, close your eyes. This is a holy moment. Now you get to make a choice. Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, your relatives, they can’t make this choice for you, only. You must make this choice. And so right now, Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart, and only you can open the door to Jesus.
(15:40):
If you want to repent and turn from your sins and turn to Christ, raise your hand. If you want to give all of your life to Jesus right now, raise your hand. And so these kids all over the place, they start raising their hands with their eyes closed. And then we pray the prayer of salvation. Dear Jesus, I give you my life. Jesus, I turn from sin. Jesus, I turn to you, Jesus. Save me from my sin right now and fill me with your joy and fill me with the Holy Spirit in Jesus name. Amen. And afterwards, they, they say, amen. We say, we wanna celebrate and sing a song with you. And so we dance to this song called One Way Jesus. And they’re in Africa and Asia. They love to dance. And so we worship together with them. And afterwards we encourage them by saying this. Now you made a decision to follow Christ. Please read and re read the Bible every single day. Pray and join a local church so you can grow in the things of God and, and you can grow in your relationship with Jesus. So that’s about how it goes. Just a simple message. It’s all about Jesus. And we bring him to that decision where they get to make a decision to follow Christ themselves.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (16:43):
I love how sharp your message is. It goes right to the heart of the matter. You’re not wasting time in rabbit trails that don’t matter to the gospel, but you’re telling the story, presenting the gospel, and bringing kids to the point of decision. What a tremendous ministry in, in Roman, I’m, I’m so proud of what you’ve done this, this past year. You have been out there giving your life for the sake of the gospel. And God has given you a, a great reward of, of many souls that have come into the kingdom of God. And so it’s just so exciting to see what God is, is doing through you. So thank you so much for being on the Evangelism Podcast. If someone wants to get in touch with you or find out more about your ministry, how can they connect with you on, on social media or on the internet?
Roman Nechay (17:37):
So I have a website, roman nache.com, R o m a n n e c h A y.com. Or they can find me on Instagram, evangelist dot roman, or Facebook, also evangelist Roman Nache. Whatever you do, please reach out to me. I’d love to get more in touch with you and just connect with you.
Evangelism Coach Daniel King (17:55):
And so if you’re listening, I’d encourage you to go to Roman’s website and to help support his ministry. By supporting him, you will be helping to bring people into the kingdom of God. So Roman, thanks so much for being on the Evangelism Podcast.
Roman Nechay (18:11):

On the first night of the Festival, I welcomed everyone by saying, “We welcome our Christian friends. We welcome our Catholic friends. We welcome our Hindu friends, and we welcome our Muslim friends.”
Word began to spread that Muslims were welcome and on the second night of the festival many Muslims were scattered throughout the crowd. As the Word of God was preached, they listened intently. Then miracles began to happen. Men and women began jumping to their feet and announcing that Jesus had touched them. We invited them to the platform to testify.
The first woman to speak had been paralyzed on her right side for ten years. She demonstrated her healing by lifting her arm high over her head. Then she shocked the crowd by saying that she was a Muslim. “Who healed you?” we asked. “Issa ul Masih healed me! Jesus Christ healed me!” she exclaimed.
The next person to testify was also a Muslim, and the next, and then another. Out of thirty people who came to the platform to testify of healing, over two-thirds were Muslim.
The news that Jesus was healing Muslims spread like wildfire. The next night, the mullah from the local Mosque came to the Festival. He had heard that Jesus was healing Muslims and he told his entire mosque to attend the Festival. We gave him a seat of honor next to the pastors on the platform. When I began to speak, the Muslim leader stood up and put a rose garland around my neck and publicly thanked us for coming. The pastors were very excited, as this was unusual.
As the preaching began, thousands listened intently to every word as we explained that sin separates us from God and Jesus is the only way to heaven. When the invitation came for the people to receive salvation, almost the entire crowd prayed to ask Jesus to forgive their sins.
On the final night of the Festival, the size of the crowd increased again. Many more Muslims and Christians were healed by the power of God.
Sunday: Mute Boy Speaks!
Last Sunday I arrived in Pakistan at 4:00 am, weary but eager to see what God would do these next 2 weeks. After waiting 90 minutes, my contact finally arrived to pick me up and take me to my first service in Lahore. While ministering on soul winning, I told the story of John Hyde, a pioneer missionary in Pakistan over 100 years ago. I shared 5 steps to lead someone to Jesus, using the story of Jesus’ encounter with the woman at the well.
That afternoon we drove two hours to the city of Gujranwala where I met up with my father and mother, and then held an evening service in the village of Botala Genda Singh. 200 people listened intently as I preached on the paralyzed man who was let down through the roof.
A teenager was broght to me by his mother. She explained that he was mute and he could not speak since birth. We prayed for him and he began to speak and imitate the noises we made. God had loosed his tongue!
Monday: Gas Runs Out Before Testimonies Do
On Monday we traveled to the village of Machrala. It was a long journey on dusty dirt roads through fields of rice. It felt like the middle of nowhere, but when we arrived over 600 people were waiting to hear the Gospel. I preached on the four greatest miracles in the Bible. The villagers clearly enjoyed the message and almost every person responded to the altar call for salvation. The service took place inside a church courtyard, but we heard reports that a group of Muslim mullahs were standing on the other side of the fence in the darkness listening to every word.
So many people were healed that night, our generator ran out of gas before we were able to hear all the testimonies! Even with the courtyard plunged into total darkness, the people continued to praise God for what He had done.
Tuesday: Sialkot, the Epicenter of Revival
On Tuesday, we split up to fight on two battle fronts at the same time. My parents traveled to the village of Qila Dedar Singh where they ministered to over 700 people. My father preached on loving God with all your heart, mind, soul, and body.
Simultaneously, I preached at the historic Sialkot Convention, a yearly gathering of church leaders and believers. The convention began in 1904 when revival spread throughout Pakistan from the epicenter of Sialkot. This year’s theme was “Peace” and I preached about how God gives complete peace in spirit, mind, and body through the completed work of the Cross.
Wednesday: A Gunshot Rings Out
On Wednesday night, we held village festival in Chan Da Qila. At the last moment the police made us change the location of the festival because our first location was near a dark wooded area. The police were worried that militants could hide in the trees and attack the crowd. But, even though the location was changed last minute, over 800 people gathered. I opened with a story about my friend who dropped his precious camera into a toilet and had to rescue it. I told the people that God values us so much that He reached down into the filthiness of sin to rescue and redeem us.
The miracles kicked off with a woman who was partially blind demonstrating that she could see. Another testified that she had been at the previous night’s service where my father preached. She had a tumor in her belly, but as she slept the tumor disappeared. She returned to give God glory publicly!
As I was finishing the service, a shot rang out and fireworks exploded into the sky. At first, my translator said that one of our policemen was celebrating, but then our festival director rushed us off into a nearby house. We hid for 45 minutes before driving away down back alleys. Word came that our guards had seen a suspicious looking car headed toward our service. They fired a warning shot and the car turned around and quickly raced off.
The next morning, the head of the local Pakistani Intelligence appeared at our home and began asking questions about the incident. He took a copy of our passports and told us we had to have 24-hour police protection. As I write to you now, two policemen are in the guesthouse nearby.
Thursday/Friday: Jesus Heals
On Thursday, I spoke at the Sialkot Convention again and encouraged the 5,000 believers to be bold soul winners. On Friday both my father and I spoke at the Sialkot Convention during the afternoon. The crowd had swelled to over 7,000 people plus thousands more outside the main tent. I preached on the woman with the issue of blood and my father preached on Psalm 91. I asked everyone who had received a miracle to stand to their feet. Over 100 people across the tent stood up to show that Jesus had touched them!

Facts about Nepal
* Nepal is home to eight of the world’s tallest mountains including Mount Everest.
* 50% of Nepal’s population earns less than $1.25 a day.
* Nepal is the birthplace of Buddha.
* Nepal is located above India and below Tibet.
* According to a 2001 survey, 80.6% of Nepal is Hindu, 10.7% is Buddhist, 4.2% is Muslim, 3.6% is Kirent, and 0.9% other.
Jessica King worked in Nepal as a missionary for six months in 2001. She says, “When I lived in Katmandu (the capital of Nepal) I could feel deep spiritual oppression every day. Believers were few and persecuted. At that time, Nepal was a Hindu kingdom closed to the Gospel. Daily we prayed that things would change in this beautiful nation.”
Since then, the government has changed hands several times and we hear recent reports that Nepal is opening up to the Gospel. We have been told that entire villages and people groups are willing to forsake their Hindu deities and become believers in Jesus. When we heard about this open door, we knew the time was ripe to go to Nepal for a public, open-air presentation of the Gospel, which hadn’t been allowed previously.
Three days before the Nepal Healing Festival was scheduled to begin, the head of our pastor’s committee received a call from the mayor of the city demanding that he come to his office. When the pastor arrived, it was obvious that the mayor was angry. He said, “All over the city, I see yellow posters advertising your Healing Festival. You have painted the entire city yellow. Who gave you permission to do this?” Politely, the pastor said, “You gave us permission.” He pulled out a sheet of paper that clearly gave the Christians permission to advertise for the festival. At the bottom of the paper, in blue ink, was the mayor’s own signature. The mayor had forgotten that several weeks previously, he had given his permission. Embarrassed, the mayor began to apologize. The pastor decided to take a chance and said, “Sir, when the Hindus do a festival, you give them money to help with the expenses and when the Buddhists have a festival, you give them money. As you know, the Christians are also tax payers, will you give us some money to help pay for a Christian Festival?” In a great gesture of welcome, the mayor of the city decided to donate 20,000 rupees (about $280) to the Christian festival.
Over 4,000 Christians welcomed us to their city with a giant rally and parade. A traditional Nepali band marched at the front and provided marching music. Church choirs sang, dancers worshiped the Lord, shouts of “Hallelujah” rang out, and the line of Christians, four persons wide, stretched for almost a kilometer, from one end of the city to the other. On the sidel
ines, Hindus gathered to watch the spectacle. They had no idea there were so many Christians in their country. They were amazed to hear the believers singing Christian words to traditional Nepali tunes. As the parade arrived at the Festival grounds in the middle of the city, the worship team kicked off the festivities with a fast-paced song of praise to Jesus Christ.
Many top government officials were curious about why we were in their city so they came to see what was happening. We gave them seats of honor on the platform. On the first day of the festival, I sat next to the chief of police, the chief of the armed forces, and the head administrator of the entire district of Surket. They started to talk among themselves. It was obvious they were confused about something. Finally, the three of them nominated the head administrator to ask a question. He leaned over and asked, “What is a healing festival? I have never heard of this before.” He had a very perplexed look on his face. As a Hindu in a predominately Hindu nation, he knew little about Christians and their ways. “A healing festival is when Jesus heals people emotionally, spiritually, and physically. There are many hurting people and Jesus wants to heal them,” we explained. “Oh, now I understand,” said the official. Instead of a puzzled look, he had a smile on his face. “This healing festival is a very good thing.” Then, in a final gesture of peace, he leaned over and said, “Merry Christmas.” It was the only Christian phrase he knew but it was his way of saying that he was happy to have Christians minister healing to the people of Surket.
My co-evangelist, Dr. Jack Myers preached the first day on the power of the name of Jesus. Thousands of people shouted the name of Jesus, many of them Hindus calling on Jesus for the first time. In the middle of the sermon, an elderly gentleman to the right of the platform jumped to his feet and lifted his walking cane in the air. He started to shout, “I’m healed. I’m healed.” The entire crowd turned to look at him. He threw his cane to the ground and began lifting his hands over his head. There was a huge smile on his face. After this spontaneous miracle, the preaching was over as God began to touch people across the field. People streamed forward to give their testimonies. A blind eye was opened. A man with back pain for four years was healed. Then, a Hindu man came to the platform. He explained that he had been deaf in his right ear for five years. As he listened to the sermon, his ear popped open and he was able to hear. We tested his hearing and he was able to hear even the softest whisper. When the crowd saw that he was Hindu, they began to talk, “Jesus is healing even Hindu people.” At the end of the first day’s service, as people left the field, it was obvious that word about what had happened was going to spread across the city. The whole town was talking about how Jesus was touching the Hindus.
On the second night of the Nepal Healing Festival, Daniel King preached about the goodness of God. He told the crowd, “Everything good comes from God. Everything evil comes from Satan.”
Daniel proclaimed, “Sin, sickness, hate, fear, and poverty is from Satan; salvation, healing, love, peace, and prosperity is from Jesus.” The crowd laughed as Daniel tried to pronounce some of the words in the local language.
Then Daniel informed the people that a choice must be made between following God or following the way of sin. He read John 10:10, “The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came to give you abundant life.” He continued with a passage from Deuteronomy, “Today, God sets before you life and death, blessing and cursing, therefore choose life.” Finally, Daniel explained that Jesus said there is a broad road that leads to destruction, and a narrow way that leads to life.
“Every person must make a choice whether they will follow Jesus or follow the way that leads to death. Do you choose to go to heaven or do you want to spend eternity in hell? If you want to be a follower of Jesus, raise your hand.” Across the field, thousands of people lifted their hands high into the air. Virtually the entire crowd wanted to follow Jesus.
On the third night of the Nepal Healing Festival, we issued a challenge, “If you have decided to follow Jesus, come up on the platform and testify.” The first person to come to the platform was the ex-mayor of the city. The entire crowd recognized him. He publicly declared, “I have decided to follow Jesus. I asked Jesus to forgive my sins. From now on, I will live for Him.” All the people cheered for the former mayor.
On the fourth morning of the Fire Conference, Daniel gave an altar call for salvation. The Fire Conference is supposed to be for pastors and leaders, but we opened it up for the entire city to attend. Since there were many Hindus scattered throughout the church crowd, Daniel felt the need to give them an opportunity to be saved.
He said, “If you want Jesus to forgive your sins, then I invite you to come to the front of the church. If you have never given your life to Jesus, then today is your day.” About twenty people walked forward in response. Daniel asked them to all kneel on the ground and led them in a prayer for salvation.
One of the men who came forward for salvation was crippled. He could not walk without using a cane. Joyfully, he gave his life to Jesus.
Later, in the afternoon festival, the same man came to the platform. Instead of leaning on his cane, he was holding it high in the air. Jesus had healed him!
Koussila comes from a Hindu family. She became a believer several years ago and ever since, she has had one prayer. Her one request to God was for her mother to be saved.
When Koussila head about the “Healing Festival” she was very excited. She volunteered to help setting up the festival. For three weeks she worked hard putting all the details of the festival together. Since she speaks English, she was able to translate regularly for Joshua Myers, our festival director.
As Koussila worked putting up posters and inviting people to the festival, she prayed that her mother would be willing to attend. On the first night of the festival, her prayers were answered.
Her mother stood behind the platform as the preaching began. She listened to every word. But, when we led the crowd in the salvation prayer, Koussila’s mother just stood there.
Koussila was helping us translate the miracle testimonies. After the healing testimonies were finished, Koussila left the platform and went to her mother. “Did you pray with the preacher to make Jesus your Lord?” she asked her mother. “No, I have been a Hindu my whole life and I was scared,” came the reply. Koussila began to witness to her mother. She explained the message to her and told her what it means to be a follower of Jesus. After several minutes, she asked her mother, “Would you pray with me and ask Jesus for salvation?” To Koussila’s delight, her mother said, “Yes.” Right there, behind the platform, Koussila led her mother to Jesus.
With tears in her eyes, Koussila brought her mother to us to share the news. Her mother was smiling. She still had a Hindu red dot in the middle of her forehead, but now Jesus was living in her heart.
Many village people have walked a long distance to attend the Healing Festival. Since it is to far for them to return home each evening, we have provided blankets for them to sleep on at night. All the churches and believers of Surkhet have opened their doors to house the villagers.
Today in the Fire Conference, one of the pastors stood up to address a problem. He said, “We have noticed that many of you have been going to the bathroom out in front of the church. We have a toilet inside the church that we want you to use. Since you are from the villages, perhaps you have never seen a toilet before. God has created you to be kings and queens, and as royalty you must not squat in front of the church, instead you must sit on the throne. Please learn how to use the toilet.”
Before we arrived, our crusade director checked out our hotel rooms to make sure they were comfortable. One of the questions he asked the hotel manager was, “Does this hotel have hot water?” The answer was, “Yes, of course we do.”
To my disappointment, after a long dusty day preaching in the sun, I discovered that only freezing cold water came out of the showerhead. I gritted my teeth and took a cold shower. Sometimes when you are on a mission trip, you have to suffer for the Lord.
The next morning, at 5:30am there was a knock on the door. Blurry eyed, I answered the door. It was the desk clerk. In his hand was a pitcher of steaming hot water. “You want hot water for your shower?” he asked. By mixing hot and cold water in a bucket, I could have warm water to rinse off my body. So, technically the manager did not lie when he said the hotel has hot water, however, I still feel cheated somehow.
Twenty years ago, Pastor Padam was thrown in jail for preaching the Gospel. For five months he suffered in prison, wondering how his family was going to survive in his absence. Back then, Nepal was a Hindu kingdom and there was great opposition to the Gospel. But, now there is a new democratic government and people are becoming more open to Christianity. For Pastor Padam, it is a great miracle to be able to stand on a public platform and to talk about Jesus in front of the highest government officials. What he was once jailed for, he can now do in the open.
Throughout the town people are saying, “We have never seen anything like this before.” To be able to publicly proclaim, in the middle of the city, that Jesus is Lord is a great miracle. Never before have such large crowds of people gathered in this region to hear the Gospel.

Rajam, South Asia and Jammu, South Asia
Evangelist Daniel King traveled to South Asia to preach about Jesus in two different cities. Despite the opposition, many people were saved. Jessica King sponsored the digging of a water well in a village that had no clean drinking water.
Five hundred pastors representing 22 out of 24 districts in the Indian state of Jharkhand came to our pastor’s conference. Also represented were pastors from the Indian states of Orissa, Bihar, Assam, Sikkim, Chhatisgar, West Bengal, and from the nation of Nepal and the border of Bhutan. The pastors came from a broad spectrum of denominations including Catholic, Lutheran, Anglican, Baptist, Pentecostal, Assembly of God, and the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Some pastors traveled for several days from remote villages to attend. They arrived by auto-rickshaw, bus, walking, and by motorcycle. Before they gave their lives to Jesus, many of the pastors were from Hindu, Muslim, and Tribal religion backgrounds.
Because of the poverty in India, we helped pay for the pastor’s transportation and we provided lodging and food during the five day conference. Pastor A.J. Barjo from Ranchi said, “The conference was historical for our city. It was very well organized. Every pastor enjoyed this conference and appreciated the spiritual food and the physical food that we were fed. All the pastors are now motivated to go reach the lost.”
A member of the State Parliament and a Cabinet Minister welcomed the pastors to Ranchi. A Hindu newspaper reported on the conference with a favorable review.
On the first night of the conference, our team felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to give an altar call. Even though only pastors were supposed to be in attendance, we obeyed and a Hindu man who was visiting responded by giving his life to Jesus.
The focus of the conference was on soul winning. We challenged the pastors to go to the unreached villages of Jharkhand to plant churches.
The pastors were extremely attentive and took notes on each message. Daniel’s mother Susan challenged the pastors to pray diligently. Daniel’s brother David spoke about “God’s Purpose for Your Life.” Daniel spoke on “3 Reasons to be a Soul Winner”, “How to Lead People to Jesus,” and “The Fire of God.” Our co-evangelist Marcus Bloom spoke on “7 Gospel Truths” and “7 Secrets of a Successful Ministry.” He gave a copy of his new book “The Final Lap” to every pastor.
On the final day, we laid hands on each pastor and sent them out to fulfill the Great Commission. Many pastors were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in other tongues for the first time. They returned home happy and motivated to do big things for God!

My six-year-old son Caleb just graduated from kindergarten at Victory Christian School. One of his classmates is a boy named Go. At a parent-teacher conference, I sat down next to Go’s father and discovered his name is Do. After chatting for a while, Do found out that I am an evangelist. He invited me to share at the Zomi Baptist Church here in Tulsa. The Zomi people come from the nation of Myanmar (previously known as Burma). I thought there might be a few dozen people in attendance but when we arrived there were over four hundred. Do asked me to speak on the subject of healing. Right before I began, he leaned over and said, “Many of the church elders do not believe that God heals today but I still want you to preach on healing.” In that service, three people testified that they were miraculously healed by Jesus. When we went out for a meal after the service, another seven people texted Do to report they were also healed but had been hesitant to share their testimonies publicly.
Do invited me to visit Myanmar. His father, also named Go, is a pastor in the city of Kalaymo. He said, “We need to do a pastor’s conference to train our leaders and a Gospel Festival to tell people about the healing power of Jesus.
On my first day in Yangon, the largest city in Myanmar, I had the opportunity to visit some of the local Buddhist pagodas. They look like big golden Hershey kisses surrounded by statues of Buddha sitting in a lotus position. Many barefoot Buddhist monks in orange robes walk around asking for alms by holding out a metal pot. In front of one pagoda, I saw a woman with a birdcage. Several hundred birds were flapping inside. A husband and wife came and bought a bird then set it free. There is a Buddhist belief that doing a good deed will wipe out a previous bad deed. The problem is that no matter how many good deeds one does, one can never wash away the stain of sin. Only Christ can do that.
When Do and I arrived in Kalaymo we were greeted by a large crowd outside the airport. Many of them were there to welcome Do who had been away from home for nine years. They put a scarf with traditional Zomi colors around my neck. This is a sign of great respect. Two hundred and fifty pastors gathered together for our leadership conference. We fed them three meals each day. They ate two cows, over sixty chickens, and twelve hundred pounds of rice. Our team spent six hours each day teaching on evangelism, leadership, and basic Bible principles.
Each night at the Gospel Festival, thousands of people came together to hear about Jesus. In the crowd were many Buddhists, some skeptical about the message. But when the miracles started, they were amazed. Each night we witnessed tremendous miracles and when the altar call was given virtually the entire crowd prayed with us to make Jesus Lord of their lives. We also prayed for people to be set free from drug and alcohol addiction.
On the final night of the festival, a group of gang members gathered outside the front gate of the Festival and attacked Go’s brother. Twenty of them viciously beat him with rocks. We do not know if the gang members were Buddhists that were angry we were preaching about Jesus or drug dealers furious we were preaching against drugs. We rescued the man and took him to the hospital. He had blood streaming from several cuts on his face and head and his back was bruised badly. He was forced to stay in the hospital for several days. A few days after I returned to the United States, the same gang burnt down the man’s house. At this Gospel Festival, we saw God do great miracles and saw many salvations, but we also were attacked by the devil. I am thankful for your prayers during this outreach. We really need people like you praying when we visit the frontline of Gospel evangelism. Thank you!
Myanmar (Burma) is located in southeast Asia between Bangladesh and Thailand. It has a tropical climate. In landmass, Myanmar is slightly smaller than the state of Texas. Myanmar is one of the poorest nations in Asia. About 26% of the nation lives in complete poverty, especially in rural areas.
For over fifty years, a military junta ruled the nation of Myanmar. In 2016, a civilian government was democratically elected in Myanmar. For the first time, it became possible for Christians to hold open-air meetings in Burma.
Myanmar has 54 million people divided up among 149 distinctive people groups. Each of these people groups have their own culture, traditional dress, and language. The official language of Myanmar is Burmese, but many people speak a second mother tongue.
Of these people groups, 53 of them are completely unreached which means there is no church within their people group. The nation of Myanmar is 78.1% Buddhist and about 8.1% Christian. The remaining population has an ethnic religion (6.9%) or is Islamic (4.8%). In total, there are 49 million unreached people living in Myanmar. These are people who have never had the opportunity to respond to the Gospel.
