It is traditional to make resolutions for the New Year. Usually people make a resolution to lose weight, or to earn more money, or to stop doing a bad habit. But what are some good spiritual resolutions to make? Below are ten resolutions that will help your walk with God in the coming year.
My grandfather was a veteran, my father is a veteran, I have two uncles who are veterans, and my sister serves in the military. I am thankful for their service to our nation.
Veteran’s Day is a time to honor those who have served in the military, sacrificing their comfort, safety, and sometimes even their lives to protect and defend our freed
om. As we reflect on their courage and commitment, we’re called to remember that they have demonstrated some of the greatest virtues—strength, resilience, and a readiness to serve others, all values close to the heart of God. On this day, we honor our Veterans, but today is also an opportunity to think about what it means to find ultimate peace, hope, and salvation.
We celebrate our veterans because they are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our nation. As Christians, we believe that sacrifice is at the very core of the Gospel. Jesus Christ, who laid down His life for us, is the ultimate model of selflessness. John 15:13 reads, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” Our veterans have lived this principle, putting their lives on the line to ensure the safety and freedom of people they may never meet. This remarkable act of courage mirrors Christ’s sacrificial love, and it’s a reminder of how deeply God values those who serve.
As we honor our veterans, we see their courage as a reflection of God’s heart. Many veterans have experienced battles and hardships that have deeply impacted them. They’ve faced challenges that require not only physical strength but mental and emotional resilience. Jesus offers comfort to all who are weary, including veterans who may be carrying unseen wounds. His promise in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest,” is an invitation for everyone—especially those who have been on the front lines.
One of the deepest struggles many veterans face is finding inner peace. After witnessing and experiencing the harsh realities of war, it can be hard to find solace in everyday life. But true peace is something that only God can provide. Jesus offers us a peace that transcends understanding, a peace not based on circumstances but on His eternal love. In John 14:27, He assures us, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” As we celebrate our veterans, we pray that they find peace in Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
While Veteran’s Day is a time to reflect on the sacrifices of our military, it’s also an opportunity to share the hope of salvation. Just as these brave men and women fought for our earthly freedom, Jesus fought for our eternal freedom. The Bible tells us that He bore our sins on the cross, defeated death, and now offers us the gift of eternal life if we believe in Him. The freedom they fought for is a reminder of the freedom Jesus offers to every soul—a freedom from sin, guilt, and shame, and the chance to live forever with God.
If you’re a veteran, know that God loves you deeply and has a purpose for your life beyond your service. If you’ve never experienced the peace that comes from knowing Jesus, today could be the day that changes everything. We invite you to open your heart to Him, to allow His healing love to fill any wounds that life may have left. Whether you’re a veteran or someone who loves one, Jesus is ready to welcome you, to provide peace beyond understanding, and to grant you the gift of eternal life.
This Veteran’s Day, let’s thank God for our veterans and pray that they find healing, hope, and peace in Jesus. May their sacrifices remind us of the One who sacrificed it all to give us freedom from sin and the promise of eternal life.

Definition: Unreached people groups are those who lack an indigenous church capable of evangelizing their own people. People groups are distinct social groups where shared language and cultural practices create communal belonging. (State of the Great Commission Report, 16).
Fact: Only three percent of international missionaries go to the unreached (who compose 40 percent of the global population). Thus, 97 percent of missionaries are sent to people who already have gospel access. (State of the Great Commission Report, 15).
Fact: Nearly nine out of ten Muslims and Hindus in the world do not personally know a Christian. (State of the Great Commission Report, 15).
Fact: The average Christian gives 1 penny a day to global missions.
Happy Juneteenth Day. June 19 (called Juneteenth) is now known as America’s second independence day. The holiday was virtually unknown until Joe Biden signed a law in 2021 declaring the day a new national holiday. Juneteenth celebrates the day that slaves in Texas were set free.
President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863 during the middle of the Civil War. The proclamation declared “that all persons held as slaves” within the rebellious states “are, and henceforward shall be free.” But, the news did not reach Texas until June 19, 1865 when about 2,000 Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas and announced that 250,000 slaves were being set free. They rejoiced and the African American community has celebrated Juneteenth as the day the slaves were set free ever since.
The story of Juneteenth reminds me of the story of how Jesus sets us free from slavery to sin. Like the slaves in Texas, not everyone has heard the news yet that Jesus has set them free. But once people hear the good news, they will celebrate! Let’s take a look at how Jesus gives us our freedom/
In the beginning of time, Adam and Eve were created free. They were made in God’s image and as children of God they walked in complete freedom. They were spiritual alive.
But, Satan came and tempted them and when they disobeyed God they became slaves to sin. It was like they walked into a big cage and they shut the door behind themselves. When they entered the cage of sin, they died spiritually and became slaves.
When Adam and Eve had children, the children were also born as slaves. The children of Adam and Eve were not born free, they were born into the cage of sin just like their parents. Their children are also spiritually dead.
Sometimes it seems harsh to say that all have sinned because when you see an innocent newborn baby and you think, “That baby has never sinned. How can the child be a sinner?” But once I visited a women’s prison and I met a mother with a baby. The baby never committed a crime but it is born inside the prison because of the crime of its mother. Did the baby do anything wrong? No, but because of the condition and circumstances of its mother it was born inside the prison.
As the baby grows up, it does not learn to be good and kind and generous. Instead it learns to behave just like a prisoner, angry and fighting and scheming and it becomes just like the other prisoners. Why? Because that is its environment. That’s the way we are as sinners in a sinful world. We learn to hate. We learn to get even. We learn to be afraid
Today, all humans are slaves to sin. Adam and Eve became slaves voluntarily but the rest of us were born slaves. The children of slaves are born slaves. The child of a sinner is born in sin. We are not sinners because we sin. We sin because we were born sinners.
The problem with the cage of slavery is that you cannot open the slave door from the inside, you can only open the slave door from the outside. A slave can’t free himself. Adam and Eve walked into the slave cage and closed the door behind themselves. How much does a slave get paid for his work? Nothing. He can never save enough money to be able to ransom himself. The slave cannot work hard enough to get out of slavery. The harder he works, the more valuable he is as a slave.
It is impossible for one slave to free another slave. This is why men like Buddha, Mohammad, or Joseph Smith can never set anyone free from the slavery of sin.
Only someone on the outside of the cage can open the door to let the slaves out. This is why Jesus came from heaven to earth. In order to open the cage, Jesus could not be born as a child of Adam because all of Adam’s children are slaves. Jesus is the Son of God. He was born as a Son of God, not as a Son of Adam. Jesus came into our prison from the outside. He had done nothing wrong but He came into so He could open the door so we could get out of the slave cage.
When Jesus died on the cross, He went to hell and He took the keys to death and hell away from the slave master, Satan. Jesus took the keys to the slave market and opened the door of the slave cage. Now anyone who wants to walk out of the slave cage can do so. Some people choose to stay enslaved to sin, but some people choose to trust Jesus for their salvation. When you get saved, Jesus sets you free from sin and you become spiritually alive. All you have to do is walk out. Jesus opened the door for you.
If you want Jesus to set you free today, just say this prayer, “Dear God in Heaven, please set me free from my slavery to sin and the devil. I believe Jesus died and rose again to set me free. I choose to follow Jesus for the rest of my life. Amen.”

Happy Mother’s Day! In today’s post, I want to share with you a sermon I like to preach on Mother’s Day about two famous mothers…
The first mother I want to introduce you to is Eve, the “mother of all humankind.”
In the beginning of time, God created Adam and Eve and placed them in a beautiful garden. He gave them the entire garden as their own, except for the fruit of two trees in the middle of the garden.
The Serpent came and tempted Eve. He said, “You will not surely die…for God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:4-5). In disobedience to God, Eve reached out her hand and took the fruit. Then she offered it to Adam and he also ate the fruit.
Because of Eve’s disobedience, sin entered the world. Along with sin came great pain and heartbreak.
Eve watched her son Cain kill Abel (Genesis 4:8). She saw the world descend into chaos. But, her whole life, she held onto the promise of the “seed of the woman” (Genesis 3:15) who would come to crush the serpent’s head.
For thousands of years, mother’s passed this promise down from generation to generation. They told their little girls, “Someday, a woman will give birth to a Savior.”
But after thousands of years, many gave up hope. It seemed that a Savior would never come.
But now I want to introduce you to another mother. Her name was Mary and she is known as “the mother of God.”
She was a young girl, a teenager. One day an angel visited her and said, “Blessed are you among woman for you are highly favored.” JOKE: I told my kids this story and they went home and licked my wife. She asked why they were licking her and they explained that I told them their mother was highly flavored.
CONCEPTION: Mary replied to the angel, “May it be onto me according to your will.” In that moment, the Holy Spirit came upon her and she became pregnant. (Luke 1:26-38).
BIRTH: Nine months later, in a manger in Bethlehem, Mary gave birth to Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, the Messiah. She gave birth to the Creator of the Universe, to the One who existed before time began. (Luke 2:4-6).
LOSING JESUS: When Jesus was a twelve-year-old boy, his parents accidently left him behind in the Temple. One can imagine how Mary felt when she lost her boy. (Luke 2:41-50)
GROWTH: Mary watched her son grow up. Even though Jesus was God, He still learned from His mother. She taught him how to dress Himself, and how to eat with manners. She taught Him how to count, and how to sing songs. She taught Him her favorite Scriptures and sent him off to school in the synagogue. (Luke 2:51). The Bible tells us, “He grew in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man.” (Luke 2:52).
WEDDING AT CANA: Mary was the reason for Jesus’ first miracle. They were at a wedding and the wine ran out. Mary spoke to Jesus about the problem. He commanded the servants to fill six stone jars full of water and to serve the guests. They were hesitant to obey his crazy command, but Mary told them to “Do whatever he tells you to do.” (John 2:5)
CRUCIFIXION: Mary also experienced great pain. She watched her precious son be executed in the most horrible way possible. She stood at the foot of the cross and looked up into his eyes. She wondered if everything the angle had told her was wrong. If Jesus was the Son of God, how could he hang dying on a tree? In that moment, Jesus showed how much he cared for his mother. He said to Mary, “Dear woman, here is your son, and He said to John, “Here is your mother.” (John 19:26-27)
RESURRECTION: Mary, the Mother of Jesus, was there to see the empty tomb. (Luke 24:10).
Let’s compare these two mothers. In some ways they were similar. Both woman were mothers. Both woman experienced pain and suffering. Both saw a son die. Both loved their children.
But in other ways, these two mothers are very different:
* One mother was disobedient and brought sin in the world, the other mother was obedient and brought a Savior into the world.
* One mother was unwilling to do God’s will, the other was willing to do God’s will.
* One mother listened to the voice of Satan, the other mother listened to the voice of God.
* One mother raised Cain, the other mother raised Jesus.
* One mother brought death into the world, the other mother brought eternal life into the world.
Mary is a great example for us to follow. Now, I do not think it is appropriate to pray to Mary. JOKE: Once there was a woman in a cathedral and Jesus appeared to her and said, “I am Jesus.” She replied, “Hush.” Jesus was surprised. He tapped her on the shoulder and said, “I am Jesus, the Savior of the Lord.” Again, she responded by saying, “Shhhhh.” For a third time, he tried to get her attention and finally she responded, “Can you please be quiet, I am trying to talk to your mother.” As this story illustrates, we should only pray to God, not to a human. But, it is appropriate to honor and show respect to Mary, because she carried God in her womb for nine months.
So, what lessons can mothers today learn from Mary? I think we should take her words to heart and make them our own.

Patrick (Late fifth century-461) is known as the Apostle of Ireland. Patrick was not the first missionary to Ireland, (he was preceded by Palladius) but he is the most influential Christian in the history of Ireland. Most of the bibliographical details of his life are known from his book, Confessions.
Patrick was born into a Christian family on the west coast of Great Britain (either Scotland or Wales). His father was a deacon in the Catholic church. At the age of sixteen, Patrick was captured by a raiding party of “Picts” who came like pirates on boats to loot villages near the coast line. He was taken to Ireland as a slave and sold to a man named Milchu. He was forced to care for his master’s sheep on the slopes of the Slemish Mountains.
For six years, he spent many cold and lonely nights with the sheep guarding them from wolves and bears. His only comfort was prayer. One night, God gave him a vision of a ship that was leaving Ireland. He took the vision as a sign from God and managed to escape his captors and board a ship that took him home to the joyful embrace of his family. A short time later, he became a priest and learned Latin and French.
During his time as a slave, he developed a close relationship with God and cultivated a dedication to prayer. He also learned the language and the culture of the Irish. After he escaped, he often prayed for the Irish people to be converted to Christianity.
In his book, he shares the story of a vision God gave him. He writes, “I saw a man coming, as it were from Ireland. His name was Victoricus, and he carried many letters, and he gave me one of them. I read the heading: “The Voice of the Irish”. As I began the letter, I imagined in that moment that I heard the voice of those very people who were near the wood of Foclut, which is beside the western sea—and they cried out, as with one voice: “We appeal to you, holy servant boy, to come and walk among us.”
Because of this vision, Patrick asked to be sent to Ireland. At first it was hard, but a fire burned in Patrick’s heart. He went from village to village in Ireland preaching the Gospel and baptizing new believers. His strategy was to convert the chief of each clan first, who would then use their influence to lead the whole clan to Christ. One of his first converts was his former master, Milchu. In each place where he found converts, he appointed deacons and established monasteries.
Patrick was effective because he contextualized the Gospel message for Irish culture instead of trying to force the Irish Christians to adopt the cultural practices of the Romans. Another reason his ministry was effective was because the Celtic Christians evangelized as a team by planting a monastery or church and living among the people they were trying to reach with the Gospel.
Legend says that St. Patrick drove all the snakes out of Ireland which is probably a myth but he did drive the devil from the island with his Gospel work. Patrick is also known for using the three-leaf Shamrock to illustrate the Trinity. The pagans and Druids of Ireland worshiped the sun and the moon, so he invented the Celtic Cross, which has a circle around the cross of Christ. Patrick died in Armaugh in 461 A.D. after spending 29 years as the Archbishop of Ireland.

A – Admit that you’re a sinner, and that no matter what good deeds you do, you cannot earn God’s love and forgiveness. Key Verses: Luke 18:9-14, Romans 3:23; 6:23; Acts 3:19; 1 John 1:9
Here’s the bad news. We all have a problem. It’s called sin. No one is perfect. No one is living a life the way God intended us to live. The consequence of sin is eternal death.
B – Believe that Jesus is God’s Son and that Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins. Believe He rose from the dead on the third day and is alive today. Key Verses: John 3:16; 15:6; Romans 5:8.
Here is the good news. God loves us so much that He can forgive any sin, no matter how big or small. God sent His son Jesus to die on the cross to save us from sin. Jesus promises us that if we put our trust in Him, He will save us from our sin.
C – Confess your faith in Christ. Key Verses: Romans 10:9-10, 13
When Jesus rose from the dead, He proved His victory over eternal death. God wants you to confess (that means to “say with your mouth”) that Jesus is Lord. He is your Savior.
D – Do everything Jesus has commanded you. Key Verses: Matthew 7:21, Matthew 28:20.
Now that you have decided to ask Jesus to forgive your sins, it is time to live for Him. The Bible gives us instructions on how to live the God kind of way.

Thoughts About the ABC’s of Salvation
* The ABC’s of Salvation are typically known as Admit, Believe, Confess, and Do. Technically, these four points are not the Gospel, rather they are the Biblical responses a person should have to the Gospel. It is important not to rush the Gospel presentation when the ABC’s are presented. For example, when one is ministering to children the temptation is to rush right to the end in order to get the kids to make a verbal commitment to Christ, but it is important to the complete message of Christ’s redemption including creation, the fall, and how Christ saves us.
* A+B+C = Salvation + D = Sanctification
* After I teach school children about the ABC’s of Salvation, I ask them to repeat after me using numbers to help them remember what Jesus has done for them:
1-2-3 “Repeat after me,” 5-6-7 “Now you go to heaven,” 8-9-10, “You are born-again!”

St. Valentine is a historical figure who is famously associated with the celebration of Valentine’s Day. Born in the 3rd century, St. Valentine lived in a time of great political and religious turmoil in the Roman Empire. Despite the challenges of his time, St. Valentine is remembered for his acts of kindness, compassion, and love, and is celebrated as a symbol of love and romance around the world.
St. Valentine was a Christian priest who served during the time of the Roman Empire under the reign of Claudius II. The Roman Emperor wanted his soldiers to be highly trained and focused so he declared marriage to be illegal for the young men of the empire.
Despite the ban on marriage and the persecution of Christians, Valentine continued to secretly perform marriages for young couples. For this reason, he was imprisoned and eventually executed on February 14th, which has since become known as St. Valentine’s Day.
Another version of the story tells us that St. Valentine was imprisoned for his Christian beliefs and that he performed miracles and healed the sick while he was in prison. He became known for his kind and gentle spirit, and many people believed that he was a symbol of love and hope.
Now St. Valentine has become an enduring symbol of love and compassion. Today, Valentine’s Day is celebrated on February 14th, and is a day for couples to express their love for each other through gifts, gestures, and affectionate acts.
Despite the challenges of his time, Valentine is remembered for his acts of kindness, compassion, and love, and is honored as a symbol of love and romance around the world. Today, Valentine’s Day is a day for people to express their love for one another, and to celebrate the spirit of love and compassion that St. Valentine represents.
Of course, the greatest love one could ever know is the love of God. Regardless of who we are, where we come from, or what we have done, God loves each and every one of us deeply and passionately.
The Bible tells us that God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins (John 3:16). This incredible act of love demonstrates just how much God values each and every person, and how deeply He desires to have a relationship with you. In fact, God’s love is so great that He wants us to know Him, to understand His love, and to experience His grace and mercy in our lives.
God’s love is not based on our achievements, our status, or our worth. It is not a love that is earned or deserved, but rather a love that is freely given. No matter what we have done or how far we have strayed, God’s love is always there, waiting for us to turn to Him and receive it.
God’s love is not limited to certain individuals or groups of people. It is a love that is extended to all people, regardless of race, ethnicity, or background. This means that every person on this planet is loved by God, and that every person has the opportunity to experience the amazing, life-changing love of God.
Whether we are rich or poor, famous or unknown, good or bad, God loves us all the same, and He desires to have a deep and meaningful relationship with each one of us. Whether you have a Valentine or not on Valentine’s day, know the God loves you more than any human ever could. Let’s celebrate His love on Valentine’s Day.

King Ministries was asked to lead evangelism teams for a Christmas outreach here in Tulsa, Oklahoma, every night from December 1-18. The vision for this outreach comes from Terry Henshaw. Years ago he was the missions director for Victory Church and now he leads CityServe Oklahoma with his family.
Their ministry transformed the entire second story of the Promenade Mall into a Christmas Wonderland. It is full of Christmas lights and decor, music and experiences for the family. In Santa’s workshop, children assemble a wooden yo-yo to take home. In another room is a Christmas Tree maze ending with Elsa, Anna, and Olaf characters. There is a petting zoo, a reindeer barn, and a huge room of model trains. The kids can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and eat a Christmas cookie with hot chocolate.
The most important room in the whole place is the living Nativity scene where guests view a live enactment of the birth of Jesus – the Reason for the Season!
As families pass the living Nativity, shepherds beckon them through the ministry room where we have the opportunity to pray with them and make sure they are going to heaven.
That’s where my part comes in. I was asked to recruit and train soul winners to pray for every person that walks through. As families approach, children are invited to sit and are given a coloring sheet with a cradle, a cross, and a crown. As the kids color, we use those three elements to tell the entire family about the real story of Christmas.
Every night a different local church has volunteered to pray for people. Each evening I teach a new group of believers how to share their faith. This is an exciting opportunity for me, because an important part of our calling as an evangelistic ministry is to encourage and train believers to share their faith with the lost.
He Had Never Led Anyone to Christ
A few nights ago, a student from a local Bible college came to the Christmas Wonderland to help us pray and he told me he had never led anyone to Jesus. I taught him how to share the Gospel simply and easily.
A few minutes later a family with two teenage boys and a ten-year-old girl sat down at his table and she started to color. The Bible college student pointed to the picture of baby Jesus in a manger and said, “Did you know that Jesus was born two thousand years ago in Bethlehem? The reason Jesus came from heaven to earth was to help us have a relationship with God.”
Then he pointed to the cross and explained, “The problem is that sin separates us from God, but Jesus died on the cross to pay the price for our sins.” Finally, he pointed at the crown and said, “Jesus rose from the dead and He became the king of the universe. He wants to be the King of your heart.”
Then he asked the all-important question, “Would you like to make Jesus the King of your heart?”
All three children and both parents prayed with him to make Jesus their King. The student approached me with a big grin on his face. He exclaimed, “I just had the privilege of leading that entire family to Jesus!” This experience increased his confidence level so much that from now on he will be sharing his faith everywhere he goes.
The Fruit is Massive
The story of that family is just one of many. As I write this, we are still in the middle of the Christmas outreach but have already prayed with over a thousand and seen over two hundred people give their lives to Jesus!
My wife Jessica plays Christmas carols in the prayer room and our kids, Caleb and Katie Grace, are also participating in ministry. The outreach is also giving away wrapped toys and furniture to needy families so they can tangibly experience the love of God and a Christmas miracle.
The event lasts for eighteen days so I am treating it like a mission trip. It is so exciting to see that God saves people here the same way He saves people at our overseas crusades. It is time for revival in North America! Thank you. It is because of your support that we are able to lead people to Jesus here and around the world.

We have seen God save thousands of people in over seventy nations around the world. But often when I visit churches here in North America, people ask me, “Do you think God could do something like that here at home?”
In Acts 1:8 Jesus told the disciples, “You shall receive power after the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem [the disciple’s own city], in all Judah [the region the disciples lived in], in Samaria [the country next door], and to the uttermost ends of the earth [everywhere else]. Jesus wants us to be a witness in our own cities, in our own regions and countries, in nearby nations, and ultimately, we are called to take the Gospel around the world.
That’s why I have been praying and asking God for opportunities to reach people for Jesus right in our own backyard. God wants to move overseas, but He also wants to move in North America. Even when traveling far and wide, we must not neglect our neighbors who need Jesus.
We just finished hosting a Free Prayer booth at the Tulsa State Fair. The results were amazing! Here are some of the numbers that tell the story:
International volunteers at this outreach came from Peru, Russia, Myanmar, Nigeria, Uganda, Eretria, Canada, England, Germany, Puerto Rico, and Brazil. We also had people who came to volunteer from Colorado, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kansas, Texas, New York, Florida, and of course, Oklahoma.
Many of our volunteers at the Free Prayer booth were teenagers or college students who had never had the opportunity to lead a person to Christ before. We used the Free Prayer booth as a way to train these young people how to share their faith. Now that they have seen God move through them, they will continue to be bold in telling people about Jesus.
Now that the Tulsa State Fair is over, I have a vision for this type of outreach to occur at State Fairs across America. We have proved this model of ministry works. We are in the process of writing a manual that we can use to inspire and train churches and ministries across America to do this same type of outreach.
The first day Kevin Wagner saw Michael smoking drugs near the tent behind us. Two days later, he approached our booth with tears in his eyes. He started weeping and said, “My mother just died yesterday.” It turns out that he had been trying to mask his heartbreak by the use of drugs the day before she died. The team at our booth consoled Michael and shared the Gospel with him. We told him, “Jesus gives us hope in the midst of heartbreak.” We asked him
to give his life to Christ and he was eager to do so. We spent time ministering to him and he left with the hope of heaven in his heart and comfort from his mother’s death. By being out here, we were there when he faced a big need.
Across the street from our prayer booth was a bathroom. Robert, the bathroom attendant, heard our messages for eleven days. Several people from our team prayed with him. He asked us to pray for his wife who suffers from a stomach problem. That night he went home and laid hands on her stomach, and his wife was healed.
Jonathan Cowerd asked a man if he needed prayer. The man yelled, “No, I need to go to the bathroom” as he rushed towards the restrooms. Five minutes later the man came back and said, “Actually, I do need prayer, there is a lot of bad stuff going on in my life.” Jonathan prayed with him and he accepted Christ as his Savior.
Joshua Wagner shares, “Nate was the last person I prayed with on Friday night. Nate accepted Jesus as His Lord and Savior for the first time! Not only that, but he also got delivered from alcoholism. He had just bought a huge, overpriced beer that was completely full. After he got saved and delivered, I told him he didn’t need that beer any longer, and he happily agreed, and together we threw the full beer in the trash!”

Today, we are celebrating our independence in the United States of America. On July 4, 1776 the Congress of the thirteen united States of America signed the Declaration of Independence. In it they proclaimed, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Recently, I visited Philadelphia during the middle of the night with a friend. We parked our car and walked around Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence was signed. I walked around the building where Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and George Washington walked. In this building, fifty-six brave men mutually pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to uphold the ideals of liberty. They risked their lives to bring our country freedom from tyranny.
Right across the street from Independence Hall is a small building where the Liberty Bell is displayed for tourists. Back when the bell was forged, it was tradition to inscribe a verse from the Bible on every bell. What verse do you suppose the foundry chose to engrave around the edge of this bell when they cast it? It was as if the foundry knew that this bell would ring for freedom because they wrote, ‘Proclaim Liberty throughout all the land to all the inhabitants thereof.”
This quote is straight from Leviticus 25:10. This verse was supposed to be yelled at the time of the year of Jubilee! Once every fifty years, every slave was set free and everyone had their debts canceled.
Another famous day of Liberty occurred when Abraham Lincoln signed the emancipation proclamation on January 1, 1863. With a single stroke of his pen, he freed thousands of slaves. Those who were held captive were suddenly set free. The chains fell and black Americans were able to take their rightful place in society as free men.
Yet both of these significant events pale in comparison with a day two thousand years ago. On that day, Jesus made it possible for every person on earth to be free! Thomas Jefferson once said, “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots…” Our spiritual tree of liberty was watered once and for all with the blood of Christ.
Jesus’ purpose for coming to earth was to bring liberty and independence! When Adam sinned, he caused the entire human race to be put in bondage. Sin became the chains that kept mankind from fellowship with God. But, when Jesus died on the cross, He provided a way for every person to be freed from the bondage of sin. The Gospel is a worldwide emancipation proclamation of liberty from bondage to the power of sin.
Independence was the main reason Jesus came to earth. At the beginning of his ministry, Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,To preach the acceptable year of the Lord“ (Luke 4:18-19).
Jesus came to preach deliverance to the captives, to set at liberty them that are bruised, and to preach the acceptable year of the Lord’s favor. When is the acceptable year of the Lord’s favor? Why, the year of Jubilee, of course.
Jesus’ purpose for coming to earth was to bring Liberty and Independence!
In America we live in a land of great freedom. In America we are free to gather together to pray. In America we are free to serve God. But, if we do not exercise our freedoms, we are no better off than those who have no freedom. On Independance Day, I will humbly thank God for our freedom and ask Him to continue to bless our nation. Last month I had the privilege of being a team leader for Victory Christian School’s sixth grade mission trip.
This was a special experience for me because when my parents were missionaries in Mexico, we hosted Victory’s sixth grade mission trip for thirteen years in a row.
When I was a teenager, I remember running through the neighborhoods of Juarez, Mexico and inviting people to come hear about Jesus. During this week of intense ministry our family would lead up to fifty outreaches in a single week. Over the years thousands of people received salvation. In fact, much of my passion for soul winning can be traced back to when we hosted school groups in Mexico.
This year my son Caleb King is in sixth grade and it was his turn to go on a mission trip. I volunteered to be a group leader.
The school group was sent to Orlando, Florida. For the last several years, I have been traveling to Orlando to teach at Christ for All Nations Evangelism Bootcamp. One of the graduates built a mobile stage and put together a team that is doing monthly evangelism in the low-income neighborhoods of Orlando. Our team partnered with his team from the evangelistic ministry of Christ for All Nations to reach several neighborhoods with the Gospel.
Someone asked me, “Why would you go on a mission trip to Orlando, the home of Disney World and Universal Studios?” The reality is that even a place like Orlando is a mission field. If we are going to see revival here in North America, we need to make a deliberate effort to evangelize here in our own nation.
As we took our team of sixth graders out into the neighborhoods of Orlando, we met families from Mexico, Venezuela, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Brazil, Haiti, and Jamaica. We attracted them to our outreach with music, games, bouncy houses, cotton candy, popcorn, and snow cones. My son Caleb’s favorite part of the mission trip was running the snow cone machine. I think he ate one snow cone for each he gave away!
Our team of sixth graders did plays and dramas on the stage. In each service, several young people gave a testimony. At the end, one of the Evangelism Bootcamp students gave a Gospel message and people got saved.
I was impressed by the faith of the sixth-graders as they gathered around kids and adults, laid hands on and prayed for them. Afterwards, we captured the names and addresses of those who got saved so that a local church can follow up on the new believers.
At one neighborhood outreach, I saw a group of four African American teenagers. They watched from afar but after a while lost interested and started to walk away. I quickly grabbed them and asked if they would like to give their lives to Jesus. All four teenagers agreed to pray with me for salvation. Now those four teenagers will be with us in heaven. It is moments like these that make evangelism worthwhile.
Whether I get to lead a person to Jesus one-on-one or have the opportunity to pray with thousands of people in a mass salvation prayer at a crusade, I get excited when people decide to follow Jesus. This is what ministry is all about. We have the privilege of making an eternal impact in people’s lives.
It was an amazing feeling to be able to introduce the next generation of young people to the joy that comes from being a soul winner. When we returned from the trip, my wife Jessica asked Caleb what he learned. He said, “Mommy, I learned that telling people about Jesus is what I want to do.”

What are you thankful for today? I am thankful for friends and family, breath and health, food and provision, purpose and passion. I am thankful that you are in my life!
“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy.” (Phil. 1:3-4)
The Pilgrims celebrated the first Thanksgiving at Plymouth Plantation after their first harvest in 1621. 53 Pilgrims and 93 Native Americans attended the First Thanksgiving and the feast lasted for three days (supposedly because that’s how long it took them to finish eating the leftover turkey). H. U. Westermayer wrote, “The Pilgrims made seven times more graves than huts. No Americans have been more impoverished than these who, nevertheless, set aside a day of thanksgiving.”
Here are some thoughts about thankfulness:
It is not happy people that are thankful, it is thankful people who are happy.
Thankfulness consists of being more aware of what you have, than what you don’t.
What if everything you are thankful for remained, and everything you forgot to say thank-you for disappeared? What if you only got to keep the things you said “thank-you” for? Do you say “thank-you” often enough?
Thanksgiving should be far more then a day of celebration, it should be a lifestyle. Let’s go from thanksgiving to thanksliving. Robert Caspar Lintner said, “Thanksgiving was never meant to be shut up in a single day.”
Larry Ollison says, “Thankfulness is expressed in words, but measured with actions.”
Cicero, the Roman philosopher said, “A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all the other virtues.” Thomas Fuller disagreed, “Gratitude is the least of the virtues, but ingratitude is the worst of vices.”
We should all remember Psalm 118:29, “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.”

We receive dozens of invitations to come each year and we only have time to accept a few of the invitations. We decide which nation to visit based on several criteria:
First, we desire to do evangelistic events in areas where evangelism is greatly needed. Our primary goal is not to gather Christians together for a conference. Our goal is to preach the Gospel to the lost. We place a higher priority on doing crusades in areas where there are many non-believers.
Second, we always work closely with local churches. We look for places where there is unity among local churches and where there is strong desire to join together to do an evangelistic event.
Third, we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. We take every invitation seriously and we pray to ask God where we should go.
So, if you want us to visit your nation, here are several questions that you can answer to help us decide to come to your area.
What is the difference between those who are successful and those who are unsuccessful? Why are some personalities so irresistible? What drives people to achieve great things? The answer is: passion. Passion is what makes the world go around.
Passion is the fuel that drives romance. Passion is the motivation for accumulating large fortunes. Passion builds bridges over deep ravines, it creates a way where there is no way, it builds tall buildings, spreads religious ideas, unites warring tribes against an invader, and is the driving force behind most inventions. Passion creates millionaires, Presidents, Olympic medalists, and Super bowl champions. People with passion live longer, laugh louder, love stronger, hug more often, feel deeper, and achieve more.
All the best books were penned by someone with passion. The greatest songs of all time were first sung by someone with passion. Great poetry is only written by a person with passion. Nations are built, paintings are painted, building are constructed, and ideas are spread with passion.
Today’s society is often boring, bland, passionless. What is there to get passionate about? Some say there is nothing to be passionate about because the empty frontiers of the American west have been explored, the moon has been landed on, and the great secrets of the universe have been told. Is it true that the best movies have been made, the best books have been written, the best wisdom has been expressed? No! Untold secrets await those with passion, mighty empires remain to be built, space travel beckons the human race, paintings remain to be painted, great art will still be created by passionate artists. Those with passion can reach beyond the rational into the emotional realm. Only passion infused ideas live beyond the death of the first thinker of those ideas. A person without passion is like a car without gas, it might look nice, but it is not going anywhere.
What is your driving passion? It is vital for every human being to work towards a goal bigger then it is possible to reach. If you reach for the stars, you will not grab a handful of mud. Here are the “P’s of Passion” which will allow you to achieve great things.
Find a passion that you can live and die for. Until you find something bigger then yourself to live for, you are not fully living. If your passion is to be a doctor, decide to be the best doctor you can be. If you want to be in business, give your all to your employers and they will reward you with increased salary and promotions. If you are called to be a missionary, commit to winning as many souls as possible. If your desire is to be a housewife, love your husband and your children with everything in you.
Do not do anything half-heartedly. If you are a student, be the best student you can possibly be. Strive for an A in every class. Go the extra mile for your teachers. Study for tests a little longer and proof-read your papers one more time. If you decide to be a passionate student, your GPA will reward you. If you are a minister, be the best minister you can be. If you are a teacher, teach with all your heart.
An uncommon passion require uncommon preparation. This is why your education is so important. Those who prepare properly go farther. Billy Graham was once asked what he would spend his time doing if he knew Jesus was coming back in three years. In response, the evangelist explained he would study for two years, and spend the last year preaching the Gospel. This is because he understood that to be truly effective, time must be spent in preparation.
The passionate person allows nothing to get in his or her way. The passionate person never stops while there is still breath in his body. No wall, no roadblock, no temporary failure, and no discouraging words can distract the person of passion from the object of their passion. Keep your eyes on your goal. Focus. Possess your passion until your passion possesses you.
The world will follow those with passion. Everyone wants to imitate a person who totally believes. Voters elect politicians who are sincere, teenagers wear tennis shoes of sports stars who win, businessmen listen to success speakers who are successful, people listen to the music of rock stars who put energy into their performances, and sinners get saved when a preacher preaches with power; all of these examples have one thing in common, people are following someone with passion.
The world can be conquered by one person with passion. If you will completely sell out to an idea and give your all to that idea, people will follow. Crowds cheer for those with passion, girls swoon for a passionate man, awards are given to those with passion, and multitudes follow someone with passion.
You can not win anyone to Christ if you do not live what you believe. Fake Christianity is the biggest turnoff in the world, but a real Christian can not help but persuade others by the life he or she lives. Your ministry to others will be effective to the degree that passion for Christ burns in your soul. Walk the walk as you talk the talk. Passion is the difference between dead religion and a living relationship with Christ.
Passion wins more people to Jesus and raises more money then any strategic planning you can do. When people see you burn, they want what you have.
Let me tell you about my driving passion. This is what I live for. This is why I breathe. This is the reason God allowed me to be conceived. I absolutely believe in my life mission and nothing will get in my way. I stay up late and get up early to make my passion a reality. I skip meals, ignore the irrelevant, and focus on my destiny in order to create a tangible dream.
My passion is to reach as many people as possible in the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are millions of spiritually hungry people crying out for the bread of life. The lost are searching and I have what they are looking for. Lives hang in the balance; if I do not reach them, who will?
My passion is bigger then myself. It will take all of my energies for the rest of my life. No distraction will cause to turn away from reaching the lost. Nothing can cause me to stop because my passion stems from God’s passion for humankind. Passion comes as you spend time with God. If God was willing to give His only Son for me, should I not be willing to give my life for Him?
What is your passion? Pin-point it, prepare for it, pursue it, persuade others with it, promote it, and you will possess your passion! Your passionate dream can become a reality. Find your passion and do not stop until you possess it.

As I write this I am climbing Pike’s Peak in Colorado Springs, CO. I am climbing with a group of fifteen people. We woke up at 4:30 this morning so we could get an early start climbing the thirteen mile trail. The summit is 14,110 feet above sea level, about six thousand feet above where we are right now.
Several other people decided not to climb the mountain. Instead, they stayed home and watched movies. They told the rest of us that they were satisfied to hear the reports that we will bring home.
As I climb, I am reminded of Moses climbing Mt. Sinai. God had descended onto the mountaintop in order to meet with the Israelites. But, when the people had seen God’s power, they trembled in fear. There was thunder, lightning, and a loud trumpet blast that frightened them. They stayed as far away as possible and they told Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die” (Exodus 20:19).
Moses climbed the mountain to speak with God Almighty, but the Israelites were content to stay in the valley. The people did not want to hear the voice of God. Even though they were interested in what God was saying to Moses, they did not want to hear God themselves. “To the Israelites the glory of the LORD looked like a consuming fire on top of the mountain. Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up the mountain….” (Exodus 24:17-18).
The Israelites saw the glory of the Lord, but only Moses experienced the glory of the Lord. Some people are content to sit in the valley and hear stories about what God is doing, instead of climbing to the mountaintop to visit with God themselves. It is possible to see the effects of God’s presence and to hear reports about it without actually experiencing His presence. In the last several hours, I have discovered that hiking up a mountain this tall is mostly a matter of repeatedly putting one foot in front of the other. Even though my muscles may be sore, my breath may be short, and my body may be tired, I must keep climbing. The end is in sight, and I must reach my destination. It is hard work climbing a mountain, but the feeling when you reach the top is worth it.
God has a destination for your life. Reaching your mountain top is going to require hard work and a daily commitment to taking the next step. If you want to meet God, and to be all that He wants you to be, you need to leave the valley and start climbing the mountain. Step by step, day by day, you need to read your Bible, pray, and seek God’s presence, only then will you be able to experience God’s power as Moses did.

Imagine a group of friends gathered together on the porch of your mansion in heaven. You have eaten a scrumptious meal and as the food settles, the group sits down to reminisce about the victories won on earth. “Moses, tell the story again about how God parted the Red Sea,” you say.
The great patriarch clears his throat and begins to tell the tale, “There were chariots as far as the eye could see. Pharaoh was shaking his spear. The water loomed up on either side of the passageway through the sea. God’s people were quaking in fear. But I lifted up my rod and suddenly the water came tumbling down. Let me tell you, we had a party in the desert that night.”
“Daniel, tell us about God saving you from the lions.” Breathlessly, you listen as he tells about how an angel shut the mouth of the big cats.
For hours, you ask each other questions.
“Luther, what were you feeling when you nailed the ninety-five thesis up on the door?”
“Noah, was it hard to build a big boat when you had never seen rain?”
“Elijah, were you surprised when fire actually fell from heaven?”
“William Carry, we want to hear about the thousands of heathens saved in India.”
“Billy, when you first started preaching, did you ever imagine you would minister to over two hundred million people in your lifetime?”
Suddenly, the party goes silent. A man, with nail scars in his hands, says, “There’s one story we haven’t heard yet this evening.”
A shiver goes up and down your spine. No matter how many times you see Jesus, it’s a rush just being in his presence. You wonder which of heaven’s heros Jesus is talking about. Then you realize everyone is looking at you. You glance at Jesus and his finger is pointed in your direction. You look over your shoulder and there is no one behind you.
Jesus says, “My friend, tell me about the people you witnessed to.”

1. Intercession is standing in the gap.
Ezekiel 22:30 “I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none.
Stone walls protected the farm animals from wolves and foxes, but if there was a hole in the wall, the sheep would be unprotected. The shepherd would stand in the gap to protect the animals. God is looking for those who will stand in the gap on behalf of the land.
You can’t intercede for yourself.
Ephesians 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
People pray for themselves and ask for prayer but rarely take time to pray for others.
When you intercede for others, Jesus will intercede for you before God’s throne. The seed you sow becomes the harvest you reap.
The intercessor stands on truth, not hearsay and gossip. The intercessor does not look for problems, they look for what God’s Word says.
1 Kings 13:6 Then the king said to the man of God, “Intercede with the LORD your God and pray for me that my hand may be restored.” So the man of God interceded with the LORD, and the king’s hand was restored and became as it was before.
Hebrews 7:25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

In 1859, Charles Darwin wrote a book entitled “The Origin of Species.” Although this book destroyed the creationist viewpoint in the minds of many modern day scientists, there is something which can be learned from Darwin’s theories. The central tenet of the theory of evolution is the concept of “the survival of the fittest.” This theory explains how gradual development brings change in the evolutionary process. According to Darwin, species change because only the fittest, smartest, or fastest animals survive the struggle of life. Species with favorable traits survive longer then species with less favorable traits. The animals with superior traits live longer and produce more offspring who carry on the better traits. The fittest animals become dominant in life’s game.
In the business world, we often see the principle of the “survival of the fittest” at work. Corporations who sell goods inexpensively with better service last longer then corporations who do not listen to the desires of their customers. Competitive companies survive longer in the corporate jungle.
A similar principle is at work in the spiritual world. In Darwin’s theory the strongest animals are the most likely to survive; in the same way, in the spiritual world, the strongest Christians are the ones most likely to see a move of God. God moves among those who are spiritually fit. Many people desire revival in their personal lives and churches, but only those who are spiritually ready will experience revival. I call this concept “revival of the fittest.” Revival will come to those who have built their spiritual survival skills.
There are several keys to becoming spiritually fit. Here are some concepts which can prepare you for revival.
Pat Robertson says that the best definition for revival can be found in the words of a song “Turn your Eyes upon Jesus.”
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace.
The first step towards revival comes when we turn our eyes toward Jesus. When we look him in the eyes, the glory and anointing of God invades our hearts and the trivial details of life become unimportant.
When we see Jesus, a new standard is set for us to imitate. The perfection of Jesus causes us to notice the dirty condition of our own lives and the sin which was once considered normal becomes abhorrent to us. As Job said, “My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you. Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes” (Job 42:5-6).
After George Bush was elected in 1988, he gave a speech that made some American farmers upset. In that speech, he mentioned that he did not like eating broccoli and that he would not allow anyone to bring any broccoli into the White House since he hated it so much. He said that when he was a kid, his mom made him eat it, but now that he was President, no one could force him to eat the green vegetable. Of course, all the broccoli farmers were mad at him and a couple of weeks later they sent an entire semi-truck full of broccoli to the White House. George Bush thanked them and promptly gave the broccoli away to a non-profit organization that feeds the poor. President Bush did not allow a single piece of broccoli into his house. Why? Because he abhorred the stuff.
If we will abhor sin, we will not allow a single sinful desire into our brains. God absolutely hates sin. He hates it so much that he refuses to stand in the presence of sin. When we spend time with Jesus, we begin to hate sin as well. Revival will not come until we hate sin so much that we remove every vestige of sin from our lives.
Sinful desire are like flies buzzing around one=s head. A fly will buzz right in front of your face and then have the boldness of land directly on your nose. You swat it away, but as soon as you go back to working, the fly lands again. Giving into sin is like allowing a dirty, germ filled fly to walk across your face. Just as you continually shoe the fly away, you must also continually rid your mind of sinful thoughts. You will not be free from that sinful desire until you kill it
The power of God is the flyswatter that kills sin. This power can change the lives of prostitutes, drug addicts, liers, alcoholics, and those addicted to pornography. Satan may be the king of the flies, but we have a Holy Spirit fly swatter to put him in his place.

A stewardship is a trust. A steward is “one called to exercise responsible care over possessions entrusted to him or her.” We’re stewards over our time, our talents, and our resources” (Covey, First Things First, p. 129). Stewardship involves a sense of being accountable to someone or something higher than self.”
Stewardship: taking care of another’s stuff as if it is your own.
– Everything we have is a gift from God…our time, talents, air we breath, water we drink, spouse, etc.
Everything we have comes from God.
1 Chronicles 29:14 “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”
Everything we give God, comes from Him.
– Everything we give comes from God…He still maintains ownership…
– The earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof…
– You don’t have any rights, relationships, or resources but what God has given you.
How can you get arrogant if everything you have comes from God?
Matthew 25:14 “Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them” – We are God’s servants with His goods.
Matthew 25:19 “After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them” – There will be a reckoning…God will hold us accountable for what he has given us.
– There is no privilege without responsibility. There is no promotion without faithfulness.
We are stewards of God’s resources…money, opportunity, people’s lives, open doors,
In the parable of the talents, the stewards produced more than they were given.
Stewardship: To leave things better than when we found it.
Stewards make choices that are good for the kingdom… good for the family…it might cause them temporary discomfort…but they know it is best for the kingdom.

Have you ever experienced an “Oh, my God” moment? I’m not talking about saying this in a flippant and irreverent way, but in the most profound sense of the term.
Recently, I sat down after a crusade, put my head in my hands, and whispered “Oh, my God.” No other term would suffice to express the depth of what I was feeling. The anointing of God was so powerful during worship. I felt God’s presence so strongly as I preached. Thousands gave their lives to Jesus for the first time. A blind man’s eyes opened. A crippled lady walked for the first time.
An “Oh, my God” moment is when heaven shines upon earth, when God transcends time and space and breaks in upon our normal everyday existence.
When I hear a mute boy speak for the first time in his life, all I can say is “Oh, my God.” When I see an alcoholic father become a Christian and forsake drinking, all I can say is “Oh, my God.” When I see thousands of Muslims raise their hands to receive Jesus, all I can say is “Oh, my God.” In these moments, you KNOW that God is real and that He cares for each of us!
In the next few months, I anticipate having several “Oh, my God” moments as we travel to country after country sharing the good news about Jesus Christ.

1. Proof-Positive
Miracles prove the reality of God’s existence. Mentally, I questioned the existence of God, until I began seeing miracles. The problem with this is that once you have proof, you no longer need faith.
Saint Augustine, one of the great Christian thinkers said, “I should not be a Christian but for the miracles.” Marilyn Hickey told me “Miracles are like the dinner bell which calls people to the banqueting table.” Miracles are God’s advertisement system.
One of the Hebrew words for miracles is also used for a banner on top of a tall pole. Because it is up so high in the air, it enables the banner to be seen from a long distance. God performs mighty signs so people who are not close to Him can see a manifestation of His presence.
John wrote, “Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:30‑31 – emphasis added).
When a school applies for accreditation, it must prove it is a good school. Peter preached, “Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him” (Acts 2:22). God used miracles to prove Jesus was authentic.
The writer of Hebrews said, “Salvation… was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will” (Hebrews 2:3-4).
Jesus denounced the cities in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent. He said, “Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes” (Matthew 11:21).
Many times, our Father does miracles simply because He cares for His children (Matt. 9:36).
